Air Scotland is one of the largest airlines in Europe and is the national airline of Scotland. The airline's main hubs are Glasgow Airport and Edinburgh Airport. Air Scotland has multiple subsidiaries, which include Air Scotland Cargo, the airline's cargo division, Air Scotland Express, the airline's short haul division, Air Scotland Jaune, the airline's low cost division, and Air Scotland Royale, the airline's first class only division.

Air Scotland was founded in 1994 by Andrew MacTaggart with 1 Airbus A310 acquired from Singapore Airlines.
The only flight by the airline at that time was between Glasgow and Edinburgh, but one thing led to another and the airline began to grow.
This growth was continuous and even today the airline continues to grow. The original A310 is still in service today, doing daily flights since its first flight with Air Scotland in 1994.
