Valkea Airlines Group Buys Wuriyan Airways

Wuriyan Airways and Valkea Airlines have recently approved a multi-million dollar merger, bringing the struggling airline into Valkea Airlines Group. The announcement came as the Wedana-based airline announced that it was ceasing operations earlier this week.

The $768 million deal, signed on 4 September 2018, states that Wuriyan Airways' international routes will be added to Valkea Airlines' network, as well as give Valkea Airlines a 60% stake on the company. Additional shares in the airline may be acquired over the following years. This is the second major acquisition that Valkea Airlines has made this year, the first being its purchase of Diamond Airways for $4.23 billion. Should the merger be approved by the Valkea Civil Aviation Authority, it will give Valkea Airlines a larger share of the commercial air traffic market.

It hasn't been made clear if Valkea Airlines will also inherit Wuriyan Airways' domestic routes or if Wedana may be integrated into the network as a regional hub. "That may be up to the Wuriyan aviation authorities," according to a Valkea Airlines Group spokesman.

Whether its partnership agreements with Air Nusalian and Lir Ilir Hotels & Resorts will also carry over with the merger are also up in the air. "[Valkea Airlines] might have to negotiate those partnership agreements independently," said Sakari Gallen, an airline analyst. "Gobbling up another airline doesn't mean its partners will just honor their newfound relationship." However, Gallen is confident that the airline's ongoing negotiations with Air Nusalian may most likely be fast-tracked due to the merger.

Wuriyan Airways is currently the Republic of Wuriya's largest carrier. With 14 destinations served across the multiverse, the acquisition has provided Valkea Airlines with a large selection of routes for its millions of yearly travellers, as well as a regional hub centered in Wedana. Flights to these routes may begin as early as 2019 according to Valkea Airlines.

These concerns have been reported to the office of the Attorney-General which, if has not received communication from your company in 7 days responding to these obligations, the they shall make contact themselves.
