The East Imperial Company is a publicly owned and traded joint-stock company backed by the New Equestrian government, dealing with the trade of exotic goods. It was established through an Imperial Charter granted by Emperor Elise I on 31 December, 1770, as the "Imperially Chartered Company of Merchants trading into the Eastern Regions." By 1775 the company had already established itself as the premier importer of goods from foreign sources for the whole of the Empire, and became officially known as the "East Imperial Company." By 1788, with significant help from the New Equestrian government, the East Imperial Company had gained a complete monopoly on trade from foreign eastern ports, including the Empire's East Colonies. With little to no domestic competition, and no serious foreign competitors emerging, the East Imperial Company on its own grew to account for half of the Empire's trade, and controlled the entire economies of quite a few small countries. With further Imperial Charters, Acts, and Provisions from Emperor Elise II in 1796, the Company was granted political power in the government through lobbyists, given territorial claims in the Empire's East Colonies, and even raised its own private army. Today, the company is the single most influential player in the Empire's global trade, and most reputable trade organization in the known world, with no other business entity holding near as much power. With the increasing demands for commodities and goods from the Eastern Regions in nearby countries, the East Imperial Company has brought a prosperity and influence to the New Equestrian economy that could never have been envisioned upon her founding. The company holds full control over seven of the Empire's colonies to the East, maintains a private army of 50,000, owns 250 offices throughout the Empire and the world, owns 21 ports and dockyards, 3 shipyards, and a fleet of 500 various vessels, mercantile and military. Dominus Ducit, Nihil Nocet.
The East Imperial Company controls the trade of many commodities and goods, most notably spices and tea. With a wide selection of goods, from the most exotic spices to familiar fashion trends, you will not go away disappointed. All goods are guaranteed to be made free from slave labour and only with the finest quality ingredients and materials. Our sailors and merchantmen handle each shipment with the utmost care, and all imports are made in 90 days or less. If for some reason you don't see a particular item in stock, we encourage you to fill out a Special Request Import Despatch so that we can obtain what it is you need (just be aware this may induce an additional cost). The influence the company holds over world trade allows us to fill our inventory with items that would otherwise be unthinkable in foreign markets, and allows us to fulfill whatever needs citizens may find themselves with, from everyday shopping, to a little luxurious treatment.
If you would like help the company expand, why not open an East Imperial facility in your nation? The company is currently looking to open offices, warehouses, and dockyards in foreign states in the hopes of expediting the travel time of imports and exports, as well as increase our already vast selection of goods. Opening such facilities in your nation will see immediate growth in national economy, with an influx of trade and influence. In addition, you make your nation and affiliated businesses eligible for various benefits such as discounts and trade priority. Take advantage of this opportunity and share in the amazing wealth and power of the East Imperial Company by opening an East Imperial office, warehouse, or dockyard in your nation today. Furthermore, we are purchasing select items from governments and business entities, as well as accepting negotiations for the opening of regular trade routes.
If you would like to order goods or commodities, please review the proper despatch guidelines outlined below. In order to streamline communications, we have a pre-written letter provided for your convenience, but you are welcome to write us your own. We only ask that you include all the necessary information we require to complete your purchase. Goods and commodities can be purchased in bulk through contract, or by individual purchase.
The East Imperial Company enforces a strict No Slavery Policy. All goods and raw materials are produced free from slave labour, as well as any and all purchased imports by the company from independent manufacturers and growers.
