People's Council of Commerce
To The Nations of the World

The United People's Federation of Ceneid would like to begin setting up trade agreements with the nations of the world and begin the acquisition of machinery agricultural equipment and other such goods to boost the living standards of our people. We will begin sending delegates after the First 5 Year Plan has been drawn up by the councils of our great nation to interested nations. While at the current state our nation is incredibly poor, we belive it has a large amount of potential so we hope to acquire a lot of equipment but nothing as of yet is certain. Nations are welcome to submit potential inquiries towards us.

Veřejné Oznámení forb Ňák Vůdeřmač Niktomáh (a public announcement from the empire of Niktomah)

Following the minor depression caused by the lack of wartime trading, the great nation of Niktomah has finally restabilized and has opened its ports and land barriers once again to allow trade in and out of the region. The glorious leader Ťómbrš Žyř (may he reign eternally) would like to mention to any nations that are interested, that Niktomah has made great strides in weapons development, even in the years following the war, and would like to sell the fruits of our labours. Of course he would like to mention that our vast deposits of mineral resources such as titanium or uranium are nowhere near depleted, therefore the glorious leader has decreed that he is welling to sell both raw and refined versions of resources mined. And of course, where would the nation of Niktomah be without its industry, the great nation is going on record as to state its willingness to sell industrial machinery and other finished goods to other nations.

Niktom Šumbdýř
(Niktom Sentinel)
Jan 5 1954

Recently the Niktomakian government released a statement to the nations of the world that they wish to trade their various goods with the nations of the worlds, and recently this wish has come true. The nation of Oceia has recently agreed to terms proposed by our glorious emperor Ťómbrš Žyřt. The terms of which were to allow The Great Empire of Niktomah to construct industrial facilities in Oceian land in exchange for providing the nation with a discount on all Niktomakian made goods. Oceia will also provide raw materials for said manufacturing, this arangment is indeed a good one for both sides. Our leader has released a brief statement to the press on this issue.

"After some suprisingly brief negotiations, we have reached an agreement that seems amicable to both sides, for it will boost the economy of both nations. I hope that this minour trade agreement starts off a long lasting alliance between our nations."

Indeed this looks to be the begining of a new era, for both the nation of Oceia but also for Niktomah!

Meanwhile, relations with the nation of Valkyrussia seem to be improving even more than they were, rumour holds that a joint project is in the works by the higher ups in both governments, is it simply a product of the rumour mill or is it a hard fact, our investigative reporter provides her take on the situation in tomorrow's paper.

The Oured Times
January 5th 1954
New Trade Deal

Earlier today President Sinclair announced that a new trade deal had been arranged between Oceia and Niktomah. This deal gives Niktomah the ability to build industrial facilities on Oceian soil. This paired with shipments of raw materials would give Oceia a discount on Niktomakian goods. This new trade deal is expected to boost both nations economies. President Sinclair released the following statement,
"Following speedy negotiations with the Niktomakian government a trade deal has been struck that shall see a boost to both nations economy. The equipment and machinery that Oceia will receive from this deal will go along way to finally seeing an end to our reconstruction efforts and the help us achieve our goal of upholding freedom and securing the safety and well being of the peoples of the world. However, the most important acquisition of this trade deal is that of the friendship of the Niktomakian people. Hopefully this will blossom into a long lasting alliance."

A message to all the nation's of the world
From The office of The Presidency of Astuana

Image

President Elizabeth Constantine would like to announce to the nations of the world of an upcoming Trade Conference between the nations of Niktomah, Valkyrusia, Cenenid, and Astuana. The talks will primarily focus on trade and partnerships between the nations mentioned. Although an invitation is extended to all nations to send delegates or if the leaders of the nations themselves would like to attend to be informed. Transparency is of the utmost importance to us all and do not want suspicion to rise from this conference. If any delegates or leaders wish they can skip the five days of the conference and attend the final two days of leisure. Please join us at this historic conference and be a part of it all.

Among the items to be discussed at the Conference will be
- The exchange rate of currency
-Taxes on importing and exporting various resources and goods
-Lowering trade barriers between member nations

A date for the conference and the location of it will be sent via official diplomatic channels once it has been decided on.

To Whomever It May Concern in the Machvolkan Government,

It has come to our attention that your country bears hostility towards the Federation of Astuana, and reasonably so considering both the recent war and Astuan aggression both diplomatically and militarily. Because of this, we seek an economic agreement with your country; we wish to arrange for the purchase of industrial equipment and other modern goods. Your country will be compensated in turn with raw resources that can be used to the benefit of your country's industry. We would like to schedule a preliminary meeting sometime within the next two months to work out the first draft of this trade deal; it will be finalised by the end of November this year.

Best Regards,
Ebourwin Mahtel

Yuyocamwa Commune

As the vessel began to near its destination, the Kaiser prepared himself for what was to come on this diplomatic trip to Taialach. Opting for a liner rather than the newfangled jet airliner, he would be able to stomach the voyage down the riverboat. He hoped that relations with the former colony could allow a firm hold on the region rather than turn to violence. That was the last thing the Kaiser wanted; he was an ambitious man longing for an empire, but with the devastation of the Great War, he learnt the hard way that war was not to be taken lightly. He saw the front himself, serving the front lines for a half year before he was temporarily crippled. He aimed to prevent another conflict, even if it meant blood was shed.

Mr. Secretary on behalf of President Constantine and the people of Astuana i extend a hand of friendship towards your government and nation. We would be more than willing to work alongside of Oceia to reach an agreement that would benefit not just us but all the nations that will attend the summit. Although we had our differences and may still have some, you have preserved the ideals we strive for. And for that we are most grateful. President Constantine would like to invite your President to Astuana for a state dinner and for a series of conferences in order to create a series of trade agreements and proposals which would help both our nations. We look forward to your response and to further working with you.

"A pleasure for all of you also ladies and gentlemen," Enrickh answered. "I do hope independence fares well for you all. A congratulations on that naval victory, by the way." He twitched his mustache as he took his seat.

The Kaiser thought over the proposal with interest in his eyes, until he spoke to Gteunswen.

"This proposal you speak of is certainly in both our favors. We are more than happy to provide you the goods. In fact, we are more than happy to provide more: we have plenty of laborers looking for work and our factories can convert your raw materials into finished goods for your development.
"As for the historical artifacts, that cannot be a guarantee, as there could be possible concern from the public. Namely, we heard about the recent Astuan protests over these items, and want to prevent such an issue. However, reaction from Machvolk could possibly be the opposite: they could be against the removal of such artifacts. Again, we will do our best to bring an understanding to the people, but no guarantees can be made as of now."

Enrickh felt he got the idea out to the Commissars and awaited their response.
