Welcome traveller, to the Wanderer Youth Hostels. Since 1995, Wanderer has provided safe and affordable accommodations to young adventurers in Charellia. In all this time, our mission statement has remained the same: to create a safe space for young and inexperienced travellers, while maintaining a relaxed and fun environment. Wherever our guests go, we want the Wanderer logo to represent comfort and familiarity. It is not for us to say whether this mission has succeeded, but our many recurring guests are a promising sign.
About Us
Our Service
Wanderer Youth Hostels is committed to providing safe and comfortable accommodations to young travellers at an affordable price. We don't offer luxury, just a comfy bed and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. We know that even if you're out looking for adventure, you still want to know what you're getting when you look for somewhere to sleep. For this reason, we strive to maintain a standardized, high-quality service at all of our locations. We take pride in our friendly staff, clean facilities, and excellent security. Our service is affordable, with prices often well below that of budget hotels. All of our locations feature a twenty-four hour reception desk and secure lockers to prevent theft. They also feature a common area with a fully stocked bar and communal kitchen. Complementary breakfast service is available from 7:00 until 11:00 and snacks are available for purchase twenty four hours a day
History
The idea for the Wanderer was born out of tragedy in 1993, when a freak storm in the small town of Horizon resulted in three teenage backpackers being washed out to sea. It was later discovered that the tourists had been camping on the beach due to being unable to afford accommodations in town. This led a group of socially conscious business men and women to realize the need for a cheap place where young travellers, who were unlikely to let lack of funds deter them, could safely stay in the notoriously expensive tourist region. Two years later they opened the first Wanderer Youth Hostel in Cenaea City, and three years after that, succeeded in opening a second establishment in Horizon. Even today, these two remain our most popular locations. Since then, Wanderer Youth Hostels has opened over a dozen locations in Charellia's most travelled cities, and our brand is now recognized by travellers from around the world.
Logo
The Wanderer logo is a key part of our brand. Although the simple black-and-white image is not the most remarkable, its simplicity is why we chose it. Wherever our guests hail from, and whatever language they speak, we want them to recognize the Wanderer sign and what it stands for. This sign hangs outside of all our establishments, and though it's not flashy, travellers know that it represents a commitment to excellence.
Mission Statement
Wanderer Youth Hostels is committed to an ethical business model based on the values of safety, inclusivity, and sustainability. Our first priority at all times is the safety of travellers using our facilities. We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure that violence and criminality do not occur under our roof, and while we cannot control what happens to our guests outside our doors, we will work to ensure access to any information that will help them to be safe in their travels. We are committed to providing this service equally, regardless of guests ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. We will not operate in nations where the law requires us to participate in discrimination or persecution of minorities or political dissidents. Outside of this, we will make every effort to respect local custom, and encourage our guests to do the same. Finally, we will work at every opportunity to make our business environmentally sustainable. We reserve the right not to do business with organizations that would require us to compromise this mission statement.
