Mission Statement: To supply reliable, effective, and arms and equipment to nations for self-defense and territorial Protection in a responsible manner without prifiteering, or exploitation of our workers, or clients.
Overview:
An umbrella consortium of privately owned and government arms manufacturers which oversees, and regulates all military hardware and weaponry manufacture sale and distribution within the Republic. It is a private member-owned non-profit cooperative established by the Senate of the Republic.
All members agree to abide by VNA standards of production, quality assurance, labor practices, standardization, and accountability. VNA works directly with the Valkiir Military to provide weaponry, ammunition, and hardware for the various armed services and oversees research and development new systems. It then contracts with member companies to manufacture components, systems, and hardware to the same specifications and quality standards for use by the military domestic sales, or international sales.
To ensure the highest quality, and lowest prices possible VNA contracts are competitive each member organization must bid for contracts, and provide detailed amylases of expenses and expenditures involved in each contract bid. Wasteful practices, corruption, or unfair/improper practices by any bidding company is grounds for exclusion or revocation of membership. This process greatly reduces expense and assures maximum efficiency and equitable profitability for all members.
Membership is not required but is highly encouraged and government contracts favor member companies in consideration. However, any company can freely produce non VNA systems and hardware under their own brand name for domestic or foreign sales. However, they may not identify or market their products in any way that indicates or implies any connection with VNA.
History:
The VNA was established by the first Senate seated after the adoption of the Valkiir Constitution and the founding of the Republic. e previous governing body was infamous for corruption mismanagement and favoritism that led to a heavy cost in resources, finances, and lives and caused great animosity among the workers forced into employment with the many arms manufacturers common to the region during the rule of the former Government. the Senate wished to avoid this situation in the future and moved to establish a means to ensure that past mistakes and abuses were not repeated.
The first incarnation of the VNA was poorly conceived and poorly administered leading to many issues including equipment designs which were totally unsuitable being manufactured and introduced into the Valkiir Military. After lengthy review, inquiry and several prosecutions the organization was completely restructured ad reestablished under the current charter. In the ten years since the restructuring previous oversights and inefficiency has been largely eliminated leading to a highly effective and successful industry-wide improvement.
Valkiir National Arms is now expanding its operations to international markets and aggressively marketing domestic systems to customers in as many regions as possible. The combined resources of the public and private companies in the corporation give it a strong edge over companies that are solely profit oriented.
