Airline News Release

Northern Airways has suffered an incident with a plane for Northern Shuttle.
On 5/10/18 A Northern Shuttle Boeing 737-700, registered A9-30029, performing domestic flight NS-2290 from Zenith Valley Airport to Dreamliner International Airport (The Dreamliners), was on approach to Dreamliner International Airport and had begun initial descent when there was a loud bang in the right (#2 CFM-56) engine, followed by loss of engine power. The crew declared emergency, advising tower of the engine failure, and shut the engine down as well as discharging the fire bottles as a precaution. The aircraft performed an emergency landing on runway 26L with emergency services on standby. Upon landing, the aircraft became disabled on the runway. Passengers were evacuated and bussed to the terminal and the aircraft was towed to the apron for thorough inspection. Possible cause of this engine failure is metal fatigue on the main fan, but a thorough investigation will be carried out regardless.

Investigators from the NTSB, Northern Airways, Boeing, and CFM have been dispatched to the plane to perform the investigation. The crew was not at fault for this accident and at the conclusion of the investigation, the plane will be repaired and returned to service.

Due to the recent accident aboard a similar 737-700 series plane, and a majority of the Northern Shuttle fleet running CFM-56 series engines, all engines on the fleet will be thoroughly inspected to ensure safety on the fleet. All CFM engines will be inspected within 30 days as a precaution and voluntary compliance with the FAA emergency airworthiness directive for similar aircraft and engines.

We look to provide the best service to our passengers

Airline News Release

Northern Airways is proud to announce a new destination added to the destination list. The route will be flown by Airbus A330-300 planes for passenger service.

New destinations are as follows:
✈ New Stanton Airport, New Stanton, The United States of Imperial Ame Ran

Northern Airways is also announcing another engine malfunction incident. Details thus far are below. We apologize for any inconvenience this incident may have caused.

On 5/26/18, a Northern Airways A330-200, registered A9-10286 performing flight NA-1030 from Los Angeles International Airport (USA) to Paradise Gate International Airport (The Dreamliners), was on takeoff from Los Angeles International Airport and had begun initial takeoff roll when there was a loud bang in the right (#2 Trent 772) engine, followed by loss of engine power. The plane was below V1 speed and safely stopped on the runway. The crew asked for a tow back to the gate and the runway was briefly closed for inspection of debris, which none was found. The runway was subsequently reopened.

A replacement A330-200, registered A9-10110 was dispatched to Los Angeles to take the passengers to Paradise Gate International Airport with a delay of 8 hours.

Investigators deemed this an incident and opened an investigation along with Northern Airways Investigators. The engine will be removed for inspection after a replacement is flown in on a Northern Cargo flight and the plane will be flown to Paradise Gate International Airport for re-entry into service. Compressor stall, Foreign Object Ingestion, or birdstrike are the probable causes of the malfunction. Further details will be released at the conclusion of investigation and inspection of the engine.

We look to provide the best service to our passengers

We are concerned with the safety and screening procedures, catering and possible delays.

Would you be interested in a codeshare agreement with Northern Airways?
Yes, Tsaritsa Transcontinental and Tsaritsa Connection can suggest various flights that can be codeshared, except domestic flights (inside Independent State of Novgorod).

Would you be interested in a business relationship?
Yes. The only term is limited operation within Novgorod, as internal business is subject to heavy protectionism.

Northern Airways has implemented the new additions to the flight manual for the new Boeing 737 MAX 8 series plane set to enter service. These new additions are under directives from Boeing and the FAA.

The delivery schedule of Boeing 737 MAX series jets to Northern Shuttle will not be delayed, but will be delayed in entering service until mechanical failure can be ruled out in the investigation of Lion Air flight JT610. This is out of an abundance of caution.

Image (The prototype MAX jet on testing)

The first 737 MAX 8 jet for Northern Shuttle has been delivered from Boeing's Renton plant to Paradise Gate International Airport on the 5th of November of this year, after successfuly completing test flights. More of the 737 MAX series are to follow later on.

In other news, Northern Airways has placed orders on the books for 60 more Boeing 737-700 series airliners as firm orders with options for another 100 more, all in the 700 series model. These planes will be in service with Northern Shuttle for the foreseeable future upon delivery. The 737 series has proven to be a reliable workhorse alongside the A320 series and talks are in progress for optioned orders for 40 Airbus A319 aircraft and 40 A320 aircraft. Both option orders from Airbus and Boeing are to be gradually finalized upon market demand. The 60 firm 737-700 orders are to go as scheduled, with entry expected in the next 3-5 years.

We look forward to providing the best service to our passengers.

Sincerely,
Joseph Bugaj, President and CEO of Northern Airways

Pavan Air is interested in a partnership where passengers can share lounges and connect flights with our airlines easily. We also want to fly to some airports in your country.

Northern Airways, out of abundance of caution, and pressure from other countries and their aviation regulators, has decided to ground the fleet of Boeing 737 MAX series jets operating for Northern Shuttle. With news of the second crash involving a Boeing 737 MAX 8 in less than 5 months, it has put the MAX series in question in terms of safety, with several airlines grounding their MAX fleets, countries banning them from flying in their airspace, and the rollout postponed for the 777X (for which Northern Airways has orders for).

The airline has been met with some skepticism regarding the safety of the planes, with 9 planes already in service on the domestic routes, but the airline will stand by them for their service. This does not affect Northern Shuttle operations and 737NG aircraft will pick up the slack while the MAX series is grounded.

The planes are still allowed to fly in Dreamlinersian Airspace, (with no passengers aboard) as to maintain the delivery schedule for the planes ordered by Northern Airways. The planes ordered will be delivered as scheduled but will not enter revenue service until the groundings have been lifted.

In other news, Northern Airways has announced an upcoming order with Boeing for more aircraft, both in short haul and long haul markets. The order comprises of 20X 737 MAX 8 series planes for Northern Shuttle (including some thin Northern Airways mainline routes) and 40X Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner planes for Northern Airways (to expand the fleet into the future (as well as replacing older 767-300ERs and the oldest 747-400s due for freight service)) General Electric will be the engine supplier for this batch of 40 787-8 planes.

As well as hearing about Airbus terminating production of the A380, Northern Airways has placed one final order for the European Superjumbo, consisting of 12 planes (at deeply discounted prices). Engine Alliance will be the engine supplier for this last batch of A380s destined for Northern Airways.

Talks are underway with Boeing to procure more freighters of the 747-8 and several more 747-8I passenger airliners with orders for those to be put in at a later time.

We look forward to providing the best service to our passengers.

Sincerely,
Joseph Bugaj, President and CEO of Northern Airways
