The Bandaraya Kerajaan International Airport (BKI/ BJNA) located at Bandaraya Kerajaan, the capital city of Sekangkang Kera served as an army base during World War II, after which it was converted into a civilian airport. Penerbangan Keranian Ltd. (PENKER) introduced a daily service between Bandaraya Kerajaan and Kota Bangsawan in September 2003. Until 2011, the airport had only four flights a day operated by PENKER. In 2011, PENKER and private airlines Mahkota Air and Penerbangan Utama (PENUTA) introduced direct flights to the airport. Bandaraya Kerajaan International was declared as an international airport by Govt.of Sekangkang kera on 14th May 2017.
