Welcome to Dioned International Airport. Not only are we the largest airport in Charellia, we are a hub for the entire region, with more than half of all inter-regional travellers stopping here at some point on their journey. Dioned International serves the cities of Colburg, the nation's economic capital, and Piraea, one of our most popular tourist destinations. It is also a hub for all of southern Charellia, offering multiple flights a day to most major cities.
Dioned International is a state of the art airport, having recently undergone extensive renovations in order to compete in a twenty first century marketplace. The airport experience has been streamlined for a stress free travel experience. From the moment you step off your flight, to the moment you depart the airport, our intuitive layout and helpful staff will ensure you get where you need to be. Our three passenger terminals are connected by a complementary tram service to get you to your connecting flight. All three terminals connect to a single arrivals area, where you will be able to connect to public transit, arrange a hotel, or meet friends and family. Retail and recreational facilities are available in all terminals, as well as the arrivals and departures area. Information desks are set up in all major thoroughfares, with staff available to provide service in the world's six most commonly spoken languages.
Dioned International Airport is the main hub for TransAir, the flag carrier of Charellia.
Getting Around
For the convenience of our travellers, Dioned International Airport offers a complementary monorail service, with stops in Colburg and Piraea. Monorails run every thirty minutes. Just show your boarding pass and hop on board. The station is conveniently located on the north east side of the main concourse. Regular price is 15 Unials.
Or, if that's not for you, head out to the bus terminal on the south-east side of the main concourse. Bus service to most areas of Piraea. No ticket required if you show your boarding pass. Since 2015 all airport buses have been electric. Direct hotel shuttle service is available for some parts of Piraea. Contact your hotel for information and prices.
Taxicab service is also available for Piraea. Prices vary with distance. See the taxi booth at the bus terminal for more information. Direct taxi service is available for Colburg, but prices are often upward of 100 U. We recommend taking the monorail to Colburg station and hiring a taxi from there. Alternatively, Go Ryders Transportation Network now offers airport pickup and drop-off. Contact the company for pricing.
Customs and Immigration
Customs and immigration are handled by the Federation Border Service. While they take their job very seriously, they also make every effort to make the process as simple and efficient as possible, so clearing customs is a fairly easy process. The Charellian government believes strongly in the value of allowing the movement of people throughout the world, and strives to place as few restrictions on travellers as possible.
Visitors to Charellia are responsible for complying with all customs and immigration laws, including ensuring that they carry proper travel documents. Airlines are required to verify that all passengers have proper identification prior to departure. Travellers not originating for Charellia or Silila must have a passport valid for three months. Sililan citizens may use their citizen ID card in place of a passport if they prefer. Visitors who are not citizens of an exempted nation must also have a valid visa. In most cases, a standard visa can be obtained electronically through the Charellian Customs & Immigration Authority. Travellers are advised to bring a hard copy of their itinerary, as immigration officials may request proof of ongoing travel.
Travellers who are transiting through Charellia to another nation are not required to apply for a visa or clear customs unless they intend to leave the secure area of the airport, but must present their passport and boarding pass to immigration officials. In the event of a long layover, travellers may apply for a 72-hour temporary visa in order to leave the airport.
