WELCOME TO THE INTERNATIONAL SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION
Created by order of World Assembly General Resolution #401, the International Securities and Exchange Commission is tasked and authorized to "develop, maintain, and publish a model code of securities regulations, which may act as a guide for member state governments [in trading and business transaction];" and "regulate the exchanges on which currencies are traded to prevent artificial manipulation of the exchange rate and to ensure that these exchanges operate without bias toward the citizens of any one nation."
ABOUT THE COMMISSION
The Commission is composed of seven World Assembly Member Nations, and one non-voting, Non-Member Nation, each nominated by the Chairman/woman of the Commission, and confirmed via popular ballot of the present majority of the General Chamber of the World Assembly. The Initial Chair and Commissioners however will serve without confirmation until the end of their terms, which lasts one month (31 calendar days). All W.A Members are encouraged to contact Commissioners and/or the Chair, should they have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the Commission or its dealings.
ISEC COMMISSION (MAY-JUNE 2017)
GET INVOLVED WITH THE COMMISSION
All meetings of the Commission are a matter of public record, and may be attended by, and participated in, by an interested nation regardless of World Assembly membership. However, only W.A Member Nations or Non-Member Nations specifically sponsored by the Non-Member Commissioner, may present and directly engage business with the Commission during hearings. All other engagement will be considered non-official general commentary.
The Commission was created by, and serves at, the pleasure of the World Assembly General Chamber. It thus also seeks direct input from said Chamber, as well as from Non-Members, via sub-committees created to research and coordinate specifically assigned subject matter for the Commission as whole. Findings from each Sub-Committee is factored into overall rulings and policy made by the full Commission. Each committee functions much as the Commission itself, with a Chair (appointed by the full Commission), and one nation per Commissioner willing. Sub Committees meet publicly as necessary, or as called into session by the Committee's Chairperson. They, and their areas of assignment may be found below. If you, or someone you know, would like to become a member of one of ISEC's Sub-Committees, or would like to be appointed a Commissioner, please fill out the appropriate form located in the sections below for appointment.
