Showcasing the latest in firearm design, the FDS-10 offers significant advantages to other assault rifles in its class. Reduced weight, ergonomic design, and modular components. The compact and reliable FDS-10 is capable of mounting a wide variety of optics and accessories, making ready for both today and tomorrow's battlefield.

The FDS-10 ships standard with the revolutionary [TALON Advanced Combat Gunsight] electro-optical combat gunsight; combining a traditional 1x-4x variable optical zoom scope with a laser range finder and ammo counter. The TALON ACGS is compatible with the L-8 smart grenade launcher, giving infantrymen the capability to fire both guided and unguided 40mm grenades with deadly precision at far greater ranges than other weapons systems.

Image
The advantages of the FDS-10 modular assault weapon begin with the internals. The internals of the weapon are constructed entirely of a corrosion-resistant, steel-based alloy to promote both reliability and accuracy. The precision machined internal components have been proven to operate reliably in a wide variety of environments, from sandy deserts to sub zero arctic environments. The FDS-10's cold-hammer forged, chromium lined, polygonal rifled barrel increases accuracy, increases muzzle velocity and increases the amount of rounds that can be fired before the weapon is required to be serviced.

The externals of the weapon are constructed primarily of a nylon polymer composite material and high-grade aluminum. This choice of materials ensures the weapon is lightweight, but sturdy as well. Indeed, one of the most frequent comments of those introduced to the FDS-10 is the solid feel of the weapon.

Modular in nature, the FDS-10 can be quickly adapted for usage in various situations. Held together by push-pins, the weapon can be completely disassembled without the use of tools. Once disassembled, the user can switch out foregrips, barrels, or convert the weapon from right-handed to left-handed or vice versa. Currently, TALON Arms currently manufactures a 420mm barrel for use with the standard foregrip and a 608mm heavy barrel for use with the light machine gun foregrip/bipod assembly.

The magazine release is located on both sides of the weapon, as is the fire selector switch to allow for ambidextrous use. The charging handle can be set towards either the left or right side, following partial disassembly. The large picatinny rail on the top of the weapon allows for the mounting of various sights and other accessories. The rails on the sides of the weapon can be used for laser pointers and IR illumination, as well as any other accessory.

MRBA-08 Multi-round Combat Weapon

Postby Ionicus » Tue Feb 06, 2018 1:20 pm

Image
MRBA-08 with red dot sight, for use as a combat shotgun

Image
Weight: 3.9 kg (8.5 lb)
Length: 720mm (28.3 in)
Barrel Length: 420 mm (16.5 in), 508mm (20 in)
Caliber: 25x60mm
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt
Rate of fire: Fully automatic at 60 rounds / min, Semiautomatic
Muzzle velocity: 310 m/s (1,000 ft/s)
Effective range: 1,000m (3,280 ft)
Feed System: Removable 8 round drum magazine, 12 round box magazine
Sights: Talon Arms ACGS, flip-up iron sights, picatinny rail for additional sights
Price: 1,800 NSD

Image
The MRBA-08 is designed to fill a number of combat roles not met by a standard infantryman equipped with an assault rifle and a 40mm grenade launcher. The primary use of the MRBA-08 is as an airburst grenade launcher; used in clearing enemy personnel located behind cover in a manner which minimizes collateral damage. In addition to firing high-explosive air burst fragnmentation rounds, the MRBA-08 is also capable of firing flechette rounds, incendiary rounds, thermobaric rounds, armor piercing rounds, door clearing rounds, chemical rounds, and non-lethal rounds.

The lightweight and easy to carry design of the weapon gives it significant advantages over its competitors. The most common issue faced with other weapons in the MRBA-08's class is their weight and cumbersomeness. The MRBA-08 is only marginally heavier and larger than the FDS-10 assault rifle, thanks to its bullpup design and lightweight materials.

The MRBA-08 was created using the same exterior components as the FDS-10 assault rife. This greatly reduces training time as all the basic controls are located in the same position. Maintenance costs are also reduced, as all exterior parts can be quickly replaced with any exterior components of the FDS-10, should they become damaged or worn out.

Image
The MRBA-08 is constructed from titanium and steel internals and lightweight composite externals. The internals of the weapon have been coated with chromium to prevent corrosion. Keeping the weight at a minimum, such that a soldier can carry a secondary weapon without being over encumbered, was one of the primary design objectives of the weapon. Advanced testing in all climates was used to refine the weapon's design such that in can be used anywhere without jamming or requiring large amounts of maintenance.

Like the FDS-10, the MRBA-08 is held together by push pins, meaning that the weapon can be disassembled without using any tools. Field stripping the weapon can be accomplished in a short amount of time and in a manner almost identical to to the FDS-10. The MRBA-08 can also be equipped with a 508mm long barrel (to be used with the longer, bipod integrated foregrip), so that it can be used as a heavier support weapon.

The MRBA-08 comes standard with the [TALON ACG-L], and advanced combat gunsight designed to be used with smart grenade launchers. The ACG-L integrates a 4x thermal scope, laser range finder, ballistic calculator, environmental sensor, an electronic compass and an ammo counter with a traditional 1x-4x optical sight. The ACG-L enables soldiers to quickly eliminate enemy forces located behind cover such as fox holes or bunkers.

The 25x40mm round has proved to be extremely versatile with many different adaptations. The most commonly used round is the high explosive airburst fragmentation round, used to eliminate enemy forces behind cover or in foxholes. The 25x60mm round has also been modified into a shotgun round with similar characteristics of a 12 gauge round, making the MRBA-08 a popular choice for use as a combat shotgun. Additional munitions options include flechette rounds, thermite incendiary rounds, thermobaric concussive rounds, armor piercing rounds (100mm steel penetration), door clearing rounds, lethal and non-lethal chemical rounds, and non-lethal rubber rounds.

Image
Combining compact dimensions, lightweight polymer construction, high-reliability components and deadly firepower, it's no wonder why the M-99 submachine gun has seen action in several conflicts around the world since its introduction into the Ionician Armed Forces in 1999. Initially designed as a sidearm for the vehicle crews, the M-99 has also proven popular with grenadiers, special operators, marksman, and anti-vehicle infantrymen.

Image
To ensure maximum reliability, the internals of the M-99 are constructed with a mix of precision machined titanium and steel alloys. Exterior components of the M-99 are made from a nylon-based polymer which gives the weapon unparalleled durability while keeping the weapon's weight to an absolute minimum. The cold-hammer forged, chromium lined, polygonal rifled barrel maximizes accuracy, muzzle velocity, and the amount of rounds that can be fired before the weapon is required to be serviced. Advanced testing in all climates was used to refine the weapon's design such that in can be used anywhere without jamming or requiring large amounts of service.

As with all weapons systems offered by TALON National Arms Corporation, ergonomics take a high priority in the design. The weapon has a fire selector, bolt catch lever and magazine release on both sides and the ejection port can be changed to either the left-hand or right-hand side following partial disassembly. The large picatinny rail on the top of the M-99 allows for the fitment of various optics and other mission equipment as needed. A suppressor attachment is available for purchase on request.

The 5x30mm round used by the M-99 was specifically designed to penetrate body armor, while also keeping a low weight and low recoil profile. The 9x19mm round, commonly used in pistols and submachine guns can not readily penetrate high quality body armor systems. TALON National Arms Corp. recommends the use of high velocity, hardened steel rounds to ensure the rounds are able to maintain their ability to penetrate body armor systems.

Rate of fire: Semi-automatic
Muzzle velocity: 850 m/s (2,800 ft/s)
Effective range: 875m, (2,870 ft)
Feed System: Removable 22 round box magazine
Sights: Iron sights (aperture type), picatinny rail for additional sights
Price: 800 NSD

Image
Created to serve as a low cost, easy to use, and robust weapon for civilian defense units, the CDF-76 has served the needs of the Ionician National Defense Force for over 40 years. Beginning in the early 1960s the Ionician Civil Defense Force, in cooperation with the Army's Corp of Engineers and the National Department of Construction, began the process of fortifying the islands of Ionicus. In addition the implementation of massive underground fallout shelters and other defensive structures, the Civil Defense Force began training civilians to use the standard issue FDS-47 assault rifle. In the following months it became clear that a new rifle would need to be developed. Although the FDS-47 proved incredibly reliable, its accuracy and ease of use by civilians were criticized. Additionally politicians began to show concerns about the widespread proliferation of military grade, fully automatic weapons.

In 1976 the CDF-76 was introduced by TALON National Arms Corporation to face the shortcomings of the FDS-76 in a civil defense role. The new CDF-76 was easier to use, having streamlined features and having the ability to be used for left or right handed shooters. The CDF-76 is capable only of being operated in a semi-automatic firing role to curb the concerns of widespread fully automatic gun ownership. The lengthened barrel of the CDF-76 showed marked accuracy improvements over the FDS-47.

Image
Constructed using a mix of birch wood and stamped steel components, the CDF-76's choice of materials greatly reduces associated manufacture costs. The solid birch stock of the CDF-76 is sealed in a special coating to prevent the stock from deforming in wet climates. The barrel of the CDF-76 is lined with chromium to reduce the amount of cleanings and the reliability of the weapon. Over its use during the past 40 years, the CFD-76 has shown a great tolerance to a wide variety of climates. The northern portions of Ionicus consist of a dry and sandy desert while the southern portions consist of a frigid tundra; flawless operations in these areas were an initial design requirement.

The 22 round box magazine provides ample ammunition capacity for the civilian shooter. The 7.62x51mm round has been used by several battle rifles and designated marksmen rifles and is highly effective at penetrating lower quality body armor systems (up to level II protection).

AMF-17 Anti-material Rifle

Postby Ionicus » Thu Jul 26, 2018 2:33 pm

Image
AMF-17 with included BV-17 electro-optical scope

Image
Weight: 10.6 kg (23.4 lb)
Length: 1,250 mm (49.2 inches)
Barrel Length: 750mm (29.5 inches)
Caliber: 12.7x99mm (.50 BMG)
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt
Rate of fire: Semi-automatic
Muzzle velocity: 894 m/s (2,933 ft/s)
Effective range: 2,000 m (2,187 yd)
Feed System: Removable 10 round box magazine
Sights: BV-17 Electro-optical sight

Image
The ultimate in high accuracy rifles, the AMF-17 pushes engineering and design technology to its limits to create the most accurate and advanced anti-material rifle on the market today. The key to the AMF-17's high accuracy is the BV-17 electro-optical sight. The BV-17 electro-optical sight combines a traditional 5-25x optical scope with an electronic ballistics calculator. The user of the scope simply designates the target with a laser and the scope calculates the exact ballistic trajectory based on range, atmospheric conditions (temperature, humidity, windage, barometric pressure), shooting angle, and round ballistic data. The BV-17 displays a reticle where the shooter needs to aim to hit the target.

Image
The internals of the AMF-17 are constructed almost entirely of titanium, with the exception of the barrel which is comprised of chromium-lined cold hammer forged barrel—a standard feature on all of TALON Arms Corp. new small arms series. The externals of the weapon are comprised primarily of a nylon polymer composite material, with steel allow components being used for various components throughout the upper and lower receiver. After firing the barrel recoils inward to absorb the large amount of recoil produced by the 12.7x99mm BMG round. The muzzle break and special designed buttstock of the AMF-17 further reduce the recoil felt by the shooter.

The bullpup design gives the AMF-17 decreased weight and overall length, affording the user the ability to carry a high powered sidearm, such as the M-99 Personal Defense Weapon (PDW). The AMF-17 is fitted with gratuitous picatinny rails for mounting various mission equipment and optics. The forestock of the AMF-17 is fitted with a removable bipod for increased accuracy. The entirety of the AMF-17 is held together with push pins, allowing for field disassembly without the use of any tools.

P-06 Pistol

Postby Ionicus » Thu Jul 26, 2018 2:40 pm

Image
P-06 with laser sight

Image
Weight: 0.6 kg (1.3 lb)
Length: 160mm (6.3 in)
Barrel Length: 90 mm (3.5 in)
Caliber: 5x30mm
Action: Short recoil operated, locked breech
Rate of fire: Semi-automatic
Muzzle velocity: 762 m/s (2,500 ft/s)
Effective range: 50m (165 ft)
Feed System: 15 round double stack standard magazine, 25 round double stack extended magazine
Sights: Triangular, tritium illuminated pistol sight
Price: 350 NSD

Image
The development of the P-06 is closely intertwined with that of the M-99 personal defense weapon. The small and lightweight 5x30mm round, created for the M-99, would prove easy to carry over to a handgun platform. The 5x30mm round provides excellent armor piercing abilities in a low recoil and low weight package. Although the earliest iterations of the P-06 would appear in the early 2000s, the weapon was placed on hiatus until 2005 when work on the P-06 resumed. During field trials the weapon was often praised for its light weight, easy handling, and ergonomic design. In 2006, the P-06 became the official sidearm of the entire Ionician Armed Forces.

Image
As is to be expected with a sidearm, and every weapon manufactured by TALON National Arms Corp., reliability is paramount in the design. The internal firing mechanisms are made from a steel-based alloy created to promote reliability and accuracy without making the P-06 too heavy. As is standard on all small arms offered by TALON, the P-06 is equipped with a cold-hammer forged, chromium lined, polygonal barrel.

The frame of the P-06 is constructed of a nylon polymer composite material, similar to that used by the Glock line of pistols. The nylon polymer offers several advantages over the traditional steel construction of a pistol. In addition to being greatly lighter, the nylon polymer used in the P-06 outperform steel in strength tests. The nylon polymer composite is also less prone to temperature deformation and won't become as brittle under cold weather conditions. The P-06's frame is more resistant to corrosion than steel as well, moisture, salt water, and corrosive liquids have markedly less effect on the non-reactive surface of the weapon.

The magazine release button is located beneath the trigger, easily accessible to the operator. Above the trigger is a simple sliding safety switch, moved forwards places the weapon into fire mode. A removable red laser sight is include with the purchase of the P-06. The laser sight can be removed from the forwards picatinny rail and replace with other accessories.

Image
In 1996, the Ionician Technate's Department of Defense began development on what would become the GCL-00. The Department of Defense laid forth it's initial design requirements for a man-portable, "one size fits all" style missile launcher capable of firing a variety of guided missiles from a single launcher to replace the M72 LAW and FIM-92 Stinger missiles in use at the time. In 1997 a preliminary design was selected, created in cooperation by the Universal Computing Corporation and the Aleĉjo Arms Design Bureau. During the following years the prototype weapon system was tested and developed, before officially becoming part of the Ionican Technate's armament in March 2000. The GCL-00 was originally offered with 80mm incendiary missiles, 125mm anti-tank missiles, 125mm anti-aircraft missiles and 80/125mm high explosive missiles. In 2004 80mm chemical missiles and 80mm airburst fragmentation missiles were developed for use with the GCL-00.

Image
The GCL-00 launcher consists of three main components. The launcher itself, the Command Launch Unit or CLU, and the internal sleeve which holds the missiles.

The launcher is constructed of a fiberglass material which provides the weapon with a high level of durability while maintain a low weight level to keep the weapon easily carried by a standard infantry unit. The launcher also contains the data port for connecting the CLU to the launcher, as well as housing the integrated laser designator system. The underside of the launcher has a foam pad to keep the operator comfortable when shouldering the weapon for long periods of time.

The CLU, manufactured by the Universal Computing Corporation, is a fully weatherproofed targeting computer created for use with the GCL-00. The unit connects to the side of the launcher using 4 thumb screws. The CLU allows for targeting in any weather conditions and is night vision compatible. Use of laser guided missiles and the CLU result in a point target hit rate over 90% to distances under 1 kilometer.

There are two types of missile sleeves available for the GCL-00, one which holds four 80mm missiles and another which holds one 125mm missile.
