Ladies and gentlemen, after a long period of absense, the Stacramite Imperial Sports Stadium is back in business and, thanks to new renovations we've been working on over the past year of this thread's inactivity, can now hold 500,000 people! As such, nations holding events here will now have the option of reserving 265,000 seats for their nations people instead of the previous 80,000. That is... probably not a necessary accommodation for most nations, but it's there if you need it! If you don't feel like you need to reserve that many seats, reserving 50,000 seats for your nation's people is a good benchmark.

Anyway, we're back and accepting business once again!

Stacramite Imperial Sports Stadium News

The Stacramite Empire was hit with tragic news earlier today as we learned that Derek Lagey, founder of the Stacramite city of Zeelk, passed away at the age of 66. Derek Lagey exemplified everything a politician, economist, and citizen of Stacramon should aspire to be. He was a brilliant leader, a smart budgeter, and a brilliant man. When he founded Zeelk in 1976 as a small 100-person town in the middle of nowhere in the state of Hangland, and when he left it in 1986 it was a thriving city of over a million people which was about to be named the capital of Hangland.

Through Lagey's leadership and guidance Zeelk became one of Stacramon's greatest and most productive cities, and under him it became the nation's leader in lowest poverty rate and economic output which are two statistics it has yet to relinquish since he left the city in 1986. In addition, he sparked tremendous growth which has led to Zeelk becoming Stacramon's third most populated city with just over six million people as of 2018, making it the fastest growing city in Stacramon as it gained six million people in forty years.

Lagey has been an inspiration to every Stacramite citizen who has aspirations of greatness, and he has been one of the greatest men to ever walk on Stacramite soil. With all of that said, the Stacramite Imperial Sports Stadium will be host to a trifecta of events between the 12th of May and the 14th of May.

On the 12th of May the stadium will be filled to capacity while a live broadcast of Derek Lagey's memorial service will be played on the titantron. Other surprises will be in store for all those who attend in honor of Lagey's memory.

On the 13th of May the Stacramon Imperial Soccer League will hold its largest ever televised game, with the game being broadcasted in 126 different countries (previous record was the SISL Championship Game of 2017 between the Stratison City Tigers and the Libreta Bullets which was televised in 102 different countries). This game will be between the Stratison City Tigers and the Zeelk Zeplens, and it will feature performances by several famous Stacramite artists and an insane half time show featuring the Stacramite Air Force, all of which will be dedicated to Derek Lagey. A brief memorial will be held for a few minutes before the game begins as well.

On the 14th of May the Stacramite Americana band, The Peels, will be holding a concert dedicated to Derek Lagey. Lagey has said on many occasions that [i]The Peels[i] were his favorite band, and so they will be performing to his memory.
