Nation name: Lansporthe
Order type: contract
Uranium type: U-235
Reason for purchase: Energy, as we do not have a lot of trade partners, nor allies :(
Shipment details: bring the Uranium to the port of Kiel.
Note: At least let this leftist nation buy basic Uranium that isn't pure enough for a bomb. also, you could have a monopoly over our energy needs.

This just isn't how Uranium isotopes work.

U-236 isn't fissile with thermal neutrons, so it doesn't split in a chain reaction. That makes it useless in producing nuclear weapons or energy. U-237 has a half-life of 6.75 days and basically immediately decays into Neptunium-237. Neptunium-237 isn't fissile without a massive critical mass and doesn't work with thermal neutrons either. It's basically useless too.

U-238 is helpful for the production of plutonium, which can be used to create nuclear weapons (and power energy plants), but Uranium-238 is also the most common isotope of uranium found in nature, making up over 99% of it. It also isn't something you can directly use to fuel or blow up anything. It certainly isn't the 'highest grade'.

Considering that U-235 is the most easily weaponised into actual bombs (like the one which destroyed Hiroshima), that is the 'highest grade'. It is also an incredible pain to refine, since 99% of all uranium is U-238 and there is very little U-235. The entire reason why most countries don't have nuclear weapons is because of the difficulties in refining uranium. Bigger isotope numbers doesn't mean that the uranium is any better for anything. Certain isotopes have well-defined uses. Making it that your GE&T storefront actually reflects those usages is a good idea.
