Millennium Stock Exchange Blog
Millennium Stock Exchange Official Website - OPENING TOMORROW
The Millennium Stock Exchange, an online stock exchange simulator closely based on NationStates nations and regions, is finally nearing completion. This online Stock Exchange, which will be on its own website, will be like no other, and has many features related to the Stock Market and business in general. These features are listed below:
-Current Stock Market Prices are displayed as in graphs and as actual prices.
-Countries (player’s accounts) can exchange stock. [Basically, the stock exchange and everything related to it.]
-The Economy of your nation/region, if you apply for a state/private company, influences the economic productivity of the companies based in that nation/region.
-Private Companies start at the Economic level of the country/region they’re established in but can improve and also not improve. Private Companies require Seniority (at least 90 days) from having a State Company.
-State Companies start at the Economic level of the country/region they’re established in but can only not improve; they can only be as good as the economy of the country/region that they’re established in.
-Money from stock goes into the bank account in the same website.
Additional Features That Will Be Added After/Near Future:
-"Bank" Accounts (to store revenue from stock; hosted by website; can buy “Benefits.”)
-The cost of the benefits will vary with the amount of money in the system; basically, it will correlate with inflation and deflation.
-Benefits include the ability to [ordering from benefits requiring the least “money” to the highest] acquire ONE other company+own them, being able to own 50% of ONE company, and own a multinational conglomerate. These benefits can be rebought, the price of a company must be negotiated between the two parties, and more benefits will be added in the near future. Please suggest more benefits!
-Players can gain money through stock or through a "business." (Gaining money through stock is simply through the Stock Exchange.)
-Players (countries) must buy products to sustain their businesses (depending on their business) and for their countries IF AND ONLY IF their country’s government type is “Anarchy” or “Psychotic Dictatorship; Players (countries) with a government type of “Compulsory Consumerist State” or “Iron Fist Consumerists” must sell products to ensure that their country’s companies stay afloat. If not enough products are sold, the country’s company's economic health will decline greatly.
-Regional Companies, which are companies created by either the WA Delegate [special restrictions apply] or the Founder of a NationStates region, are based off of the region’s overall financial health and the state of its economy; this information must also be collected from the NationStates API. Only nations that have been on the Stock Exchange for 180 (maybe 120 instead?) days can create a Regional Company, and only if they are actually the Founder of a region.
Feedback, constructive criticism, and comments are appreciated.
