Sugo Television Network, Inc. (STNI/STN) is the flagship television network owned and operated by the Archdiocese of Katherinia through the Commission on Social Communications. Its head office and transmitters are located at the Broadcasting Center, Barangay Villaceran, Lindem, Katherinia.
~HISTORY~
STN began its operations on May 17, 1999 when the Archdiocese was granted a permission to set-up its own network. With a transmitter of 40-kilowatts, it began to cover the news and religious programs in Filipino and English.
STN also covered some of the most important occasions which was been historical events:
1. 2013 National and Local Elections (Hatol ng Bayan: Eleksyon 2013)
2. Papal visit of Pope Urban IX
3. Papal Visit of Pope Francis (Awa at Malasakit: Ang Apostolikong Paglalakbay sa Pilipinas)
4. 2016 National and Local Elections (Pili Pinas: Tamang Pagboto, Tamang Pagbilang, which ran the longest special coverage, spanning to 3 weeks of broadcast from pre-election and miting de avance, election day and post-election and canvassing.)
Now, Sugo Television Network introduces its International Channel called STN International to cater all viewers, especially the overseas workers all around the world. STN International will be begin transmission in June 6, 2016 with a transmitting power of over 45-kilowatts. STN International will be also stearmed live in the internet livestream just like the local counterpart.
