i have a rifle very similar to the HK416. the upper and lower recievers are from the afore mentioned HK, and the bolt is taken from the M16A4, along with the barrel, Dust Cover and stock. the hand guards are from the HK417. the rifle fires a 5.56 NATO round, from a STANAG magazine, making it compatible with most european and american assualt rifles (e.g. SA80, M16 G36). can mount a Surefire flashlight, M203 grenade launcher (plus leaf sights for M203) Tricogen ACOG scope. i have a picture of it, but thus far i do not know how to post it up, if someone could enlighten me i would be much oblieged.

1. So far I haven't seen North Korea get in any wars, but they do a great job of policing the place. I digress...
2. Anti-nuke intercepting missiles? Hmm... nope. There'd be a small error margin, I.E. not every one you fire would hit, and if you had them in mass you'd need to large massive amounts since the quality would be near-zero. If you have roughly the same, you'd only need one, but be aware no strategy or thing is perfect: even the best-laid plans often go awry for SOME reason. It happened in 'Nam, it happens in some RPs, and it could happen with an anti-missile.
3. Alright. I guess you can have nukes, at the offset cost of huge environmental negatives. I'd hate to see the national parks in YOUR nation.
4. That's obvious. Every soldier should always be trained in hand-to-hand. That there is thinking ahead.
5. It seems like your nation is basically prepared for war 24/7. Seems interesting... with a larger pop it would give you a definite edge.

So, did you even bother to read the entire thing? If you are like most condescending vets on here, you did not. This city is landlocked, controlled by a dictator (who, if you read the thread, has the city heavily guarded at the entrances) , and is on the verge of destruction..

If you read a few posts up (which you probably didn't), there are hidden service tunnels, which is what we used to get in. The guy couldn't see it because he is a foreign troop, as is the current controller of the city. Only the Ex-Kein, my character, would even know they exist. They were dropped in from the air (which is in THAT post). So when you say

Well, I did point out that I had been possably duped into taking a not-so-serious FT thread too seriously. And hinted that I was pretty sure I was missing some important details while 'skimming'.

But usually no mass-landing goes smoothly.

But I did find it funny that they did an impossably hard feat (the landing) with relative ease, yet are stopped and confused by a simple wall.

The fact that it litterally came across a brick wall made me think it was a two-dimensional amphibious-op w/o air assets. Since this thread here implied you were modern-tech.

So the assault wasn't smooth, just casualty-free.

The difference is whether or not the comedy was intentional. If it made us both laugh, then good. If it was just me, then bad. If it's just you, you're crazy.

You may have noticed by now, but I'll note again, this is a HUGE THICK steel wall. If I remember right, you can drive a humvee(sp?) across the top of this sucker, but, it may be another wall I'm thinking of. But still, this wall is HUGE!

Okay, this is... not right and impossible. Basically, a Plasma Splitter rifle would belong in FT, but you say it looks like an AK47, so that does not fit in any universe. Try to... you know, hack the thing together more, and it would fit into PMT.

No. No no no no no. YOU CANNOT NUKE ANYONE. I checked your population, you're only at 6 million. I'm not sure what the threshold of developing your first nuclear weapon is, but I think it's somewhere around 500 million. You've got a long way to go, cowboy.

Okay, I am going to explain the rules to you. YOUR ARMY SIZE IS DEPENDENT ON YOUR POPULATION. Seeing as you have six million people, 3.5 million army soldiers would collapse the economy. The largest I've seen is 5% of your population (that, I believe, would be population multiplied by 0.05, try it on a calculator), and that would give you an insurgent-like military with AK-47s and RPDs. 2% (replace the 0.05 with 0.02) would be a US-esque military with Barretts and M4 Carbines.

Oh, and this doesn't apply to the brances of the army. All of the branches of your army are counted in this: you cannot have all six million people in your military, because that would collapse the entire national economy. My army is around 27,840,000 in wartime (following the 2% of population rules), and it's because my nation has a population in the billions. This army count also counts the Air Force, SIN (my Secret Service, FBI, and black ops, rolled into one like a Works potato chip), the Navy, and special operations. If you followed two percent rules, you'd have 120,000 in your army, and five percent rules give you 300,000 (this is as far as I know: I'm in the billions and I'm not exactly sure what the written rules are, so I may be wrong), which is so far extremely small and not a match for almost every nation. Anyone else who is an experienced RPer and knows the rules, if you see this and there's something you'd like to nitpick, nitpick at will.
