The accurate timekeeper - since 1977
That was precisely the year when we began to give the world its most accurate timekeeping. In 1977, the first atomic clock in Bulgaria was put in operation. And "Radiosinkhron" State Enterprise was created to disseminate its precision far and wide, giving factories, financial institutions and ordinary people the accuracy they need for an orderly and productive day.
Our radio-synchronised timepieces for public display are the embodiment of our nation - austere, reliable, practical and dedicated. Whenever expensive wristwatches or electronic devices fail you, we will be there with the power of physics. Your financial system, scientific institutions, military establishment and industry can all be safe in the hands of our watches.
Company assets & structure
Radiosynchron DOD is a 100% state-owned company based in the vicinity of Gabrovo, Democratic Republic of Bulgar Rouge. We receive direct monetary investment through Second Economic Committee institutions, which also oversee the factories where overhead production of components is carried out. Our own assembly plant adapts, fine-tunes and puts together these components into a diverse array of clock movements. The production plant employs 120 workers on a factory area of 21,000 square metres.Radiosynchron DOD operates two ACh-330 atomic clocks manufactured by Varna Instrument Plant DOD. These are caesium-based atomic clocks which deviate only one second every 140,000,000 years. The Varna Instrument Plant is also building a 100 times more precise combined strontium-ytterbium optical clock exclusively for Radiosynchron DOD, giving us the most accurate timekeeping on the planet. The central laboratory of Radiosynchron DOD maintains these units and transmits the signal through a mast installation transmitting at 78.5 kHz.
Our 78.5 kHz synchronisation mast
The production plant, the transmission station and the central laboratory have a complete staff of 155 personnel. They are overseen by an Operations Committee, which has an Administrative branch (responsible for each of these entities) and a Financial branch that manages spending. The Operations Committee in turn is overseen by an Executive Commission comprised of four members and a chairman. The complete funding of Radiosynchron DOD amounts to $ 750,000, of which 92% is spent on research and development, 7% on basic procurement expenses, and 1% on individual expenses.
Radiosynchron DOD complies to all international timekeeping standards, along with the Universal State Standard System of Measurements (19000:B1) and the State Standard System of Production Quality. Radiosynchron DOD also abides by the Environmental Protection Standard by having zero carbon emissions during production and further invests part of its income and experise in environmentally-friendly practices among partnering institutions.
Products & services
Radiosynchronisation service
Banks, financial institutions, scientific establishments, military institutions and pretty much every valuable administrative asset in a country needs to follow the Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) standard. That means that if your partnering bank in another country opens up one second before your central bank, you'd be losing millions - if not billions. It also means your satellites will be out of date, and your military warning systems will be at a disadvantage. One second costs a lot.
Our radiosynchronisation service is here to fix that for you. Using our very powerful radio transmitter, we send you the most precise time in the world, down to the hundred millionth of a second. Our transmissions are encrypted, but a simple and cheap subscription can guarantee you the edge your administrators need. Fill out the form to receive national coverage for all of your institutions now.

Public clocks
One could argue that public clocks are outdated. Now we have wristwatches, smart watches and all kinds of portable devices synchronised with atomic clocks located who knows where. Technology has long sent public clocks into the dustbin of history. Well, we have to argue this is wrong. Very wrong.
Public clocks are not up there to simply display the time. They bring harmony and a sense of functioning to our society and institutions. From their poles or façades they constantly remind us that we all have work to do, and that work will bring us order, and order will result in prosperity for everyone.
All of our clocks are based on the standard VI10 movement with radiosynchronisation, but what makes them really unique are the faces we give them. Each dial has a special spirit and purpose suiting it for a different environment. They can be mounted on poles, buildings, clock towers and any other suitable environment, with customisable sizes and maintenance included in the price.
