History of Imperial Shipyards
Imperial Shipyards Incorporated can trace the route of the corporation back to the early seventeenth century. We were established under the Legaton King at the time needing a capable organisation for the construction, maintenance and operation of his royal barges and sailing ships. This move was done quietly, with the various companies before Imperial being slowly and steadily weened out. When Imperial Shipyards, or Royal Wrights back then, reached a stage of total market dominance around seventeen-fifty, it expanded rapidly under the never ending river of contracts, orders and deals for now all the state or royal owned vessels. This trust was built from a strict equal balance of reliability, affordability and credibility over the course of many years, something we even carry on today. This prosperity and growth continued to grow in the wake of fifty years of naval heights. King after king purchased all their vessels from Imperial Shipyards Incorporated, a streak still on going. In the eighteen-hundred formation of an empire, even more success came. Take what river of vessels the Kingdom of Legatum had constructed and multiple it by five. In the space of ten years, a sea of ships formed under the first Emperor. However, after this quick burst, The Empire of Legatum had no more port capacity from the mass production of ships until later. During this time, trade prices fell greatly from the simple over production of vessels, with many scraped in order to save the Legaton economy, hooked on trading. The prices returned higher then the depression in eighteen-fifty with barely any ships left. This lowered naval force completely overturned the company, slowly adapting to change with job and production losses. By eighteen-sixty, the company was adapted to the few small operations left with annual swamps of red ink. The company was nearly bankcorupted in eighteen-sixty-five, only saved through incorporation and the government buying all the shares. Back then, it earned the title used today: Imperial Shipyards Corporation, in dark economic times. The government investment overturned the company again, making a skeleton profit. Shipyards mainly focused on repair, bringing in most of the new money. Several ships left had suffered a few corrosive rounds from a war and required nearly weekly attention to keep the hull from rusting away. This 'new era' spanned on until the new century, nineteen-hundred. The years had taken a toll on the battered, old fleet and new ships were required. As such, new ships were granted. These new vessels contained the height of technology with improved armament, shaping the company somewhat to where we are today with our stance on ship building. However, many again suffered deadly corrosive ammo rounds during a breif war. Imperial Shipyards took it as duty to invent the world's first non-corrosive armour, saving many lives and money as the next fifty years past with the battleship era. The invention of the nuclear device was the last shake up off the company. Imperial scrambled to build vessels to accommodate this new weapon onto ships, going from nuclear missiles to the weird nuclear close in weapon system. As expected, the road ahead turned once again. A fresh nuclear inspired hostile world called for the mass production of ships and submarines again, but stopping when enough was enough, the government learning from it's mistakes some one-hundred-and-fifty years ago. The nuclear treaties and worldwide destruction of nuclear devices only simply fueled the river again, still flowing from the late twentieth century to today with no dam in clear sight.
Frequently Asked Questions
Sonar Range?
- There is no set sonar range, it is a variable between sound interference, water density, speed and other sonar. On a super good day, you can detect an aircraft carrier at Gibraltar from Long Island
Where are the battleships?
- Battleships are NOT recommended for modern combat at all. The common use of accurate, powerful missiles and aircraft have effectively killed them. They have big, slow loading, slow aiming, inaccurate cannons, waste armour covering everything, are slow moving and have little anti-aircraft defence with tiny range compared to a missile
Where are my ships?
- Ships are delivered within twenty-four hours of departure with standard delivery, but for an extra five percent of the total order, express delivery can bring the time to within twelve hours
