It felt like someone was being held at gunpoint to write a beautiful, perfect signature — something a normal person wouldn't sign in normal circumstances— but ultimately had to, paying painstaking attention to each loop and curl. Let me rephrase the previous message, because it appears that it has been misinterpreted due to being too polite: we have had contact, in the past, with various 'organizations', 'foundations', et cetera, which have believed themselves to be entitled, under the justification of 'protecting humanity', to engage in various underhanded and illegal activities across the globe. Near-invariably, their actions have led to the suffering of thousands in inhuman bondage 'experimental subjects', the breaching of the sovereignty of legitimate states, terrorism, and crime across the world in the name of 'securing' 'anomalies'.

As you can guess from our advertising materials (after all, you are here to procure a space ship!) Free Kingdom of Allanea has extensive contact with any number of civilizations, a whole bewildering variety of alien creatures, anomalous events, and trans-dimensional horrors. We see no need to suspend the general rules of ethics, rights, and so forth, to deal with these.

I shall admit that when I received your first message, my suspicions about your organization were merely a hunch. The logo, the tone of the message, all of these seemed suspect. (And the name!
