Yeltsingrad - after more than 4 month after phase-in of BASTION II BMS (Battle Management System), now, nearly half of Ikheria Federal Defence Forces equipments' are now running BASTION II, approx. 52,7% of all major computerized weapon system and more. In 2,5 year or more, Ikheria Federal Defence Forces will completely running under BASTION II, and all future weapons will required by law for customize their BMS for Ikherian uses to BASTION II. Even, Ikherian next generation defence communication satellite and National Defence Command Center will use them.

In meanwhile, Ikherian defence company, SRC Novarnaka and SRC Radiotel are now starting producing domestic/local version of Brahmajala RADAR system, Lepidoptera Passive Surveillance system, Manimekhala Short-Wave Strategic Jamming system, and Omamori Electronic Warfare system, all of them are from Serene Power Company. In addiction, general production of local version of Mammoth logistic truck from Hammond Motors started earlier in MZKT/VOLAT factories. As domestic production of these system need be tested, importing foreign version of them are selected as stopgap measure. As requested, all of foreign and domestic versions of Brahmajala RADAR system, Lepidoptera Passive Surveillance system, Manimekhala Short-Wave Strategic Jamming system, and Omamori Electronic Warfare systems are running BASTION II. We have been in need of more aircraft carriers recently due to the current situation in Joyean province of Lemoyne and have we have some questions about converting the Hood class superdreadnaught into an aircraft. We would first like to inquire about the cost of this conversion. As you know we already have multiple Hoodclass superdreadnaughts in our possession and would like to first convert the JNS Cunningham. The Cunningham as far as the Joyean Navy and Ministry of Defense knows does not have any large-scale upgrades and as such we would like an estimate as to what this conversion would cost. Secondly we would like to inquire about how many aircraft a converted Hood class superdreadnaught would carry. Aircraft usually carried on Joyean aircraft carriers are;
Sukhoi Su-33 Fighter Aircraft,
Douglas A-4 Attack Aircraft,
Northrop-Grumman E-2 Airborne Early Warning Aircraft,
North American RA-5 Reconnaissance Aircraft.
Finally would like to inquire how many additional crew members would be required namely aircrew. We believe we have enough resources to complete the conversion ourselves.

We recommend against this conversion for a very basic reason: the ability of aircraft carriers to maintain a given amount of aircraft in the air is not a function of their size, but a function of air traffic control facilities, and cannot be much increased beyond the present level. You will not - upon such an upgrade - receive the equivalent of 19 regular aircraft carriers, but rather at best one aircraft carrier with a somewhat higher sortie generation capacity. The conversion costs would probably cost more than buying a dozen carriers.

If you seek to stop using the Hood as a battleship and instead get carriers, perhaps turn the Hood into a museum and use the money you would have used on this expensive conversion to buy 15 aircraft carriers ?
