Another C-130 touched down on the tarmac and slowly began to reduce it's speed as the unloaders got into place. This expo had been planned weeks in advance and every single moment of it would have double guards, security was at it's highest premium. Rrafe Military Police provided security to the base that was on lease, one that was used to train troops, test new gear, and allow the NTA to show off new items for sale. The place had been built by the NTA and was designed to allow them to effectively control the Rrafe military. There was a dirt field that had several tracked and wheeled vehicles placed in it with displays. After that large piece of land was a huge firing range that was 500 yards long and 150 yards wide. Before that firing range was several tables hammered to the ground with long pieces of metal, with the displays ready and the chair behind each table in place. The rifles would be provided in the morning as would the ammo, till then nothing was happening.

It had it's own private runway, about the size of an aircraft carrier deck; with the storage warehouse between the airfield and the firing range.

Guards walked the private tarmac, looking around and making sure that the area was secure. There was space for five planes at a time to park, each of them a private jet. In the morning the expo would begin, but for now there was silence and loaded rifles.

As the sun slowly rose above the nation and thus the airport, several luxury cars waited to pickup the visitors. The idea for this was to allow Vadia to make enough money to assist the wounded Doppio economy and to allow various nations to cooperate more in the region. The hopes were that this would prevent war and allow the locals to better resist the mysterious factions that were at play in the area. Several Tigrs were in position to escort the luxury cars to the military base, and prevent terrorist attacks along the way there.

The gate to the expansive base was opened and the last preparations were set. A Titan-7BV and a Abrams M1A3 TUSK II were parked on the display area. Along the way was a number of other parked tanks and APCs, some of which were from various countries that would be showing up at the expo. The representatives for the NTAAS got into place and started up their tablets, ready to facilitate commerce. The tables at the testing range had an upgraded M16A5, Mini-14, and the M4AG displayed on one area. Another area of the firing range had the CR OS SMG and several rifles, along with the CR-50. Boxes of ammo and clips were at each table, including the two or three areas left for visitors. They had already been set up to a degree and the guards had been switched minutes prior so the new ones were ready to be alert.

The jet of the representative for The Tomanian Reich landed. It was like any other private jet, besides the fact that it had camouflage painted on and had a Tomanian roundel on it. As the door opened, two guards got out of the plane and waited at attention. The Tomanian Representative, General Maximilian Wegmann, got out with them and was followed by his aid, Hauptmann Fritz Steig. Flanked by the two bodyguards they proceeded to the luxury vehicles. The guards and the two officers were well dressed for the occasion with the guards looking like a mix of older times mixed with newer times with their old fashioned light blue Gardedragoner uniforms, Pickelhaubes, and swords. Along with that they had SIG 556 carbines so they could protect the General. The General wore an grey officers cap along with a grey uniform which was decorated with the many awards, medals, and ribbons he had earned over the years of course the ones that stuck out were the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oakleaves, the Tomanian Cross in Gold, an Iron Cross Second Class, the Reichswehr Long Service Award First Class(25 years of service), A wound badge in Black, a Infantry Assault Badge, and finally a Close Combat Clasp. The Hauptmann however only had a Iron Cross Second Class.

An A400M Atlas with Tomanian Luftwaffe markings landed at the tarmac. It held some things that were to be displayed, some ammunition, and members of the Tomanian Feldgendarmerie who would provide security for the Tomanian part of the expo.

Nikl Sedresva and Vladir Beliskne, the Kholodvian representatives sent to sell the Federation's spare arms at the expo, sat in the back of their old, beaten-up cargo plane as it approached the runway. The plane was not much to look at (it might as well have been held together with duct tape), but the cargo inside was simply beautiful. Along with them and the cargo in the back were a detail of armed guards and a lorry that was in significantly better condition than the plane. Once the plane touched down, the representatives and guards loaded as much of the cargo onto the lorry while laughing and speaking among each other in Kholodvian.

The group quickly set up their display, setting out examples of firearms and ammunition on the tables and positioning the KMBT-5 tank right behind them along with a KCP-10 armored vehicle. With all the heavy work done, they resumed their conversations as one of the guards swigged from a flask kept inside his pocket and adjusted his SMG.

9:15 a.m..

The small Ulóg Transport Plane could carry nearly a hundred of fully equipped paratroopers or sixteen tons of payload.
They were maxed out, carrying the guns and the models of their Armoured Fighting Vehicle Division for the stand of Gabh Blacksmiths, as well as the ship models for Silverport Dockyards' stand. Flight Sharing saved costs and was good for the environment, seeing, that the two companies usually build rather fuel-eating products, it was an important thing to consider.
The plane was a Selkie-plane of vintage, most likely the oldest plane to arrive.
It's crew was quite sure, that they would stir up the whole expo with their products.
Before they would do that, though, they would have to unload all the stuff and get it to its designated spots, lest they wanted to draw the ire of the two ladies, their high queens, onto them. Those arrived with a different plane, if only because it was not a great picture to come with te workers in regards of representation. All of the men and women abard the plane knew, that both the ladies wouldn't hesitate to work.
That was in their blood.
But those two had things to do, which were just as important.

Rrufe International Airport.
9:15 a.m..

A small private jet carried two women to the place, where the weapons expo would be held.
Of course, as it was usual for Selkie, both Gwen Cathlong of the Tribe of Cork, coming for Silverport Dockyards Ltd., and Fiona Banphrionsa of the Tribe of Cavan, coming for Gabha Blachsmiths Ltd., wore Geansai, the tribal dress of the Selkie, Gwen in Cork's colours, Fiona in the colours of the Goddess Carman Fea, Goddess of War and Science.
The two women were old friends, like sisters to each other - and like sisters, they were opposites: Fiona was a businesswoman, Gwen was an engineer. Fiona had two older brothers and a Curly Mountain Fox (Sio, he was back home), Gwen no siblings and a Grey Wolf (Sról, home as well).
Still, both women liked each other.
The supplemented each other in their capabilities and skills. It was only natural for their mothers and bosses to send them to this Expo together. Of course, the objective were contracts and business, because although both companies had good work with the offers and needs of the SDF, one could never have enough business. It made life considerably easier.
In this, their first priority was to represent and to sell. Both were quite sure, that it would be fun.
Their plane touched down at Rrufe International, came to a stop.
"Showtime.", Gwen commented to her friend and stood up.
I play PT, MT and a bit FT. I am into character-RPs.
My people are called the Selkie, the nation is usually called the Free Lands in MT-settings. Thanks.

The guards were releaved that people were actually coming to the expo, after they spent two hours watching not a single plane land on their section of the airport. After a second plane was shown where to park, as the trip back could take over two hours easy; the air-control gave directions to a backlot that spare places could stay. The guards gave another sweep of the perimeter and made sure that everything was clear, as more guests meant more potential terrorists trying to attack them.

A third plane had arrived, there was no way in hell that some money wasn't going to be made by someone at this expo. Right after that plane cleared the runway, another plane then landed; a small airline jet. The plane slowed down and came to a stop, before slowly moving towards it's special storage location. A large staircase was pushed into place by trucks into place and the plane opened up. Several soldiers wearing PASGT body armor and woodland camo got off, clutching M16A2s. After them came another squad, followed by several men in officers uniforms. After them were a number of heavily armed [urlhttp://orig09.deviantart.net/b51d/f/2015/101/a/1/sufi_protection_unit__ns__jg__by_tevo77777-d8pe39m.png]Sufi Soldiers[/url], followed by two men and a woman in traditional dress.

All three parties, two from one plane and one from another; were given blue Audi A4 saloons. Each group was given an escort of two Tigrs, one of which lead the way while the other one followed the car.

The airstrip was already full of busy workers trying to get from point to point and make sure that everything was running smoothly. Everyone seemed to be rushing or moving things, besides the guards that scanned the area for trouble. Legally binding applications could only get so far and the knowledge that they would have millions to give to charity, didn't take away the blood that would be shed to violate such a clause. The Contender 2 tank from Phil-Iros was placed behind the other vehicles and the display for it was set up, as it's engine had been topped off just minutes earlier.

A mid size cargo plane touched down, bounced, and then came to a smooth stop 200 yds. down the runway. 2 Dragoons exited the plane first, their Sten submachine guns slung across their shoulders, and nervously readjusted the heavy flak vests they had been assigned in the cargo plane. Then the representatives of the Free Staters, Lt.Col Voladi, and his assistant Lt. Terghaven appeared from inside the aircraft, took the salute of the Dragoons, and exited the plane trailed by 3 more dragoons carrying scoped M14s at the ready. Voladi was charged with expanding and upgrading the Free State's arsenal of weapons, which had been virtually unchanged since the War of Independence. It was a task that anyone would be both enthusiastic and slightly nervous about. To reassure himself, Voladi felt for his sidearm under his trench coat, and reassured by its cool metal touch, strode to the waiting cars, the dragoons following closely.

They were shown to their red Audi A4 saloon and were given two armored Nissan Armadas for their security. The GPS system was pre-programmed for the forward Armada, with the keys already inside for them. One of the soldier whispered to his officer, noting that the visitors were using STENs like a local terrorist group. The officer reassured him that such a weapon was cheap and was very popular in the region.

Heerführer Klaus Frieder looked down out of the window of the state-owned jet as they got closer to the airport. He was sitting across Repräsantent Arnold Kavich. Arnold was representing the Research and Development Division of the Willanian Department of Defense. They saw the trees and the city on the ground, and admired the scenery. The Heerführer opened his seatbelt and walked over to the front of the plane. The bodyguards and flight attendants saluted him as he walked past them. He made it to the cockpit and fixed his glasses before unlocking the door and walking in.
The Zuegreiter (pilot) saw the general walk in and put the plane on autopilot. He stood up and saluted Frieder while Zenreiter (co-pilot) the did the same.
"SAAAALUTE", the Zuegreiter said with a powerful yet not loud voice.
"At ease, kamerad. I'm only here to check on everything. Zuegreiter, get back to flying the plane.", the Heerführer said with a calm tone.
"Yes, mein Heerführer.", the pilot said while quickly lowering his salute.
The pilots stood at ease and the pilot went back to sitting down on the seat; while the Zenreiter stayed standing.
"Heerführer, are you having a nice flight?", the young Zenreiter said.
"Yes, I'm glad there wasn't much turbulence. When are we landing?"
"In about 20 minutes. You should get back to your seat Heerführer.", the Zuegreiter said from his seat.", the Zenreiter said nervously, hoping not to mess up in addressing the Heerführer. It was the Zenreiter's first flight with someone so important onboard, anyway.
Frieder walked back to his seat. The state-owned jet looked like a private one, but with the words "Willanian Air Force" on the side, with the wheat and eagle emblem on the tail wing. It was being followed by a cargo plane full of old equipment that the Willanian military no longer used. Welführer Franz met with the Heerführer earlier that day and expressed himself that he wanted to get rid of old Willanian military equipment and replace it with new things. They had old guns, blueprints, and other things that would be revealed later to sell.

The jet landed safely on the runway.
The Zuegreiter parked the jet in their designated spot. They could see armored cars with little Willanian flags on them. The general stepped out behind the bodyguards, along with the Repräsentant. The Heerführer had four bodyguards surrounding him and the Repräsentant at all times. The bodyguards carried CZ P-01's in case anything happened. They were manufactured in Willyberg, so they had more improvements. They were on alert due to the high tensions in the region lately.
They guided Frieder and Kavich into the cars along with the bodyguards.

As the several convoys reached the military base and were waved inside by the guards, they quickly were shown where they would park. Quickly an aid from the Neo-Terran Alliance Arms Supply came up to them with her tablet and smiled, standing between the two friends who had arrived. She looked down at her tablet and called them over by name, before beginning to read the rest of the writing.

"Welcome to the First Annual Auralia Weapons Expo, we noted that so far only you and a few other groups have showed up; among all the others that agreed they would be her and put down a deposit." She started "As such, we encourage you to go by the range and some shooting to pass the time; along with going inside the expo building to set up your table if you are going to be a seller at this expo."

She looked up and smiled at them, before giving moving to the next group to repeat herself. Said group appeared to be the Sufi from earlier and after that she went to the group in PASGT armor.

Rrufe international airport 1:30 PM

I remove the hot towel on my face as the pilot booms on the loudspeaker, "attention all passengers, we will be arriving at Rrufe International airport in 10 minutes please fasten your seatbelts." I look behind and across from me. My minster of defense Bobby Wantanabi and my minister of foreign affairs Francis Floogler eager to land. I spectate the wondrous views of the city until we get off the plane. The line is like a hell hole but we are given special access to a faster line. I call up the convention organizer and he sends my convoy to our gate outside the airport.

Rrufe Liberated Training Base 1:51 PM

Heerführer Klaus Frieder looked down out of the window of the state-owned jet as they got closer to the airport. He was sitting across Repräsantent Arnold Kavich. He saw the trees and the city on the ground, and admired the scenery. He opened his seatbelt and walked over to the front of the plane.

They were manufactured in Hatsune, so they had more improvements. They were on alert due to the high tensions in the region lately.
They guided Frieder and Kavich into the cars along with the bodyguards.

The vehicales were waved in by the guards and shown where to park, having arrived long after many others. The plinking, shooting for firearms for gun; was over and it was about time to begin the presentations now that most of the things outside were in place. The expo still needed to be it's tables inside to be filled and overall the various NTAAS aids seemed very frustrated over the timing of all of this. One of them walked over to the Heerführer, grumbling a bit to himself over how unorganized this was becoming. The ex-soldier stoo there with his tablet in his hands, not reading from it; as he breathed in the air around him. Standing there in kackis, running shoes, and a company polo shirt; he didn't seem to be having the best day.

"In about five minutes or so we are going to be starting the main presentation, so I advise that you put down your small arms on the last table behind me."

He looked down at his tablet because it beeped and he squnited, tapping at it.

"We had to call in a few heavy towwers for your other gear, so it will be here in a bit; it's likely that it's going to take some time to make it fit with the other things. Unless it's a tank, we are going to have to put it in the basement of the expo building with the Humvees and what-not. The other examples will likely be unloaded and put on your table inside the expo, with any order forms you have sent to the top floor for the auction."

He put his tablet under his let arm, shook the people in charge he was speaking to and then bowed a little before walking to fix some other problem.

After the parking lot on that side of the large road, was the massive convention building. On the other side was a large dirt field filled with tanks and people trying to fiddle around with the switches inside, to see what the tanks were like. Next to that large field was a huge firing range, covered in knocked out tanks with targets taped to them. The tables of weapons were just about out of ammo, as the people who got here first fired and fired; before having lunch, having a party, gambling, and then finally getting into a boxing match. That's what happens when you show up four hours after others and they have to wait on you.

After a short welcome, the two Selkie were led to the cars taking them to the expo itself, including the escorts. They were nice cars, at least as far as the two Selkie could judge them. None of them were experts on cars.
Still, Fiona gave her friend a smile and a wave. "See you there!", she said as she approached 'her' car.
Gwen replied with a nod. "Later."
As the two women seperated, Gwen asked 'her' driver: "So... how long will it take to get to the expo itself?"
She hoped, as did Fiona, that there were no problems with their cargo plane, seeing, that especially the models were rather delicate in their entire being. Things like the radar masts could easily break off and that would look bad, although they had the means for small repairs.
Gwen was especially looking forward to it all, she had a few things she could present, up her furry greaves. New CIWS and defense systems, new ships and of course new missiles... it would be a dream! She was an engineer, Fiona, the businesswoman, was much more relaxed about this all.
Still, both had a certain spring in their steps.

[...]

"Thanks!", both women called after their welcoming committee.
The expo grounds were getting filled with all kinds of hardware, some of which seemed interesting to both the engineer and the businesswoman - but first things first. A lifting cart with a few men known to them and a large, wooden box passed them, the men greeting with smiles and nods.
The box carried markings from Silverport Dockyards, which made this Gwen's case. She immediately ran up and asked full of excitement: "Is this, what I think it is?"
"It is." The man nodded. "Last minute delivery. Nora told us not to tell you."
"Show me, show me, show me, show me!", Gwen squealed - this was the result of months and months of work, going over, revising, simulating, calculating, changing and scrapping. It was her biggest work so far.
The men laughed. "Later, gal! When we set it up!"
"Oh..." Gwen's shoulders sagged as she went along with the men - she needed to supervise the stands getting set up.
Meanwhile, Fiona cleared some things with her people in a far calmer manner and then went to look for her stand as well. The stone-rifles were already there and set up, the real ones at the shooting range. Everything was looking good.
She looked forward to the demonstration of the new defense-autocanons. She only needed a volunteer...

Lt.Col Voladi and his party arrived to the base, after being waved through by cheerful guards. They found a place to park and then got out. The Dragoons got out first and formed up around the delegates. After paying out the required 10 million, they began to walk towards the small arms table.
Col. Voladi had been at the forefront of getting the Free State involved in the Weapons expo, and was eager to try some of the small arms on display. He was particularly interested acquiring a modern battle rifle for the army, jets for the Air Force, as well as getting the Free State's first modern tank units. President General Anders had viewed these 3 purchases as essential to the survival of the Free State, and had authorized Voladi to take out loans and make concessions as need be. The government was so concerned about this issue that Bishops throughout the Free State had urged their parishoners to tithe their weekly income and give some to the Armed Forces Fund. The result was overwhelming, and gave Voladi a little more to spend.

Seaport near Rrufe expo site, Monday, 0700 hours local

Postby Gear 1 » Sat Oct 03, 2015 1:05 pm

"Seaport ahead!" shouted a Chief Petty Officer on lookout duty, from the bridge wing of the F.S.S. Cumberland County, an Assault Landing Ship of the GEAR 1 Federation Navy. Upon hearing the announcement two decks below, an officer wearing a Ground Forces Green service dress uniform clomped to the ship's siderail and promptly began puking overboard.

"Sea voyage doesn't agree with you, Major?" the soldier's companion, a civilian, asked with a chuckle. "You know, you could've flown in with the advance party."

"Staring at a couple dozen stone-faced killer Marines for sixteen hours straight didn't quite appeal to me," Major Don Boothroyd replied to his civilian traveling companion, Deputy Minister for International Trade Harry Boothroyd, the Major's brother. "I just wasn't expecting the trip to have so much... turbulence."

"You can't predict when a squall or freak hurricane is gonna change directions like that," Harry said. "Never mind that we went from fair winds and following seas to Sea State Five. I thought this old bucket was gonna snap at the keel more than once."

"I don't know why you talked me into coming to this expo with you," the Major said, his skin turning a greenish pallor and the aftertaste of runny powdered eggs from the ship's galley starting to well up in his mouth.

"You're in line for a promotion to Lieutenant Colonel, you passed the promotion board, and your next posting was going to be administrative," Harry said. "I figured I could get you into one of the PMO's and you'd have a nice cushy technology job for two years before you go to War College and take on that battalion command slot you wanted."

"Well, I appreciate the thoughts," Don said, heaving a generous dollop of the runny rehydrated eggs and Soylent Green crackers from breakfast onto the ship's gray-painted hull. "I'll take another combat unit over this, thank you very much."

"Hey, you did your time," Harry retorted, turning away from his brother to smell the salty sea air and feel the breeze of the passing thirty knot wind. "It wasn't like you were helping old diplomats cross the street in the Pink Beret Corps. You were Tactical Operations Officer of the Infamous Vandals, for God's sake."

Major Boothroyd didn't need reminding of his recent combat service. His outfit, the Infamous Vandals, a Combined Arms armored battalion of the 45th Armored Brigade Combat Team, GEAR 1 Ground Forces, was considered among the elite conventional combat units, and was frequently tapped for deployment to confront national defense "emergencies". In his role as Tactical Operations Officer, the battalion's senior Staff S-3, he often rode with the combat companies to relay information back to his Battalion Commander.

In the most recent combat deployment, his outfit was tasked with suppressing a surge of hostile activity along one of the national borders, and he was separated from his task force in a G2001 Leopard Advanced main battle tank. When the tank was knocked out in an ambush, he was held captive with its crew for sixty four days, tortured and almost killed several times over, before a Navy SEAL platoon raided the enemy stronghold and freed them.

"I can't wait to get ashore," the Major coughed. "I'd rather be in the commander's cupola of one of the vehicles we're giving a live-fire demonstration with than rocking on this boat a minute longer."

"Well, even if we tied up right now, it would be a few hours before all of the equipment was pierside and ready to convoy over to the expo site," Harry said. "You may end up having to eat aboard for lunch. I heard they were serving creamed chipped beef on Soylent Green flatbreads."

"Arggh! Shit on a shingle!?!" Don gasped, turning three shades of green and emptying his stomach violently. "Now you're just being a nasty cuss. Get away from me, you no good younger brother!"

"It was worth watching the reaction," Harry said with a sadistic laugh. "I'd have thought you were used to eating that stuff already. No doubt the executive mess hall at Center City Headquarters serves much richer food to the PMO officers. But you'll get used to it."

"All armored vehicle salespersons to the dirt field, all armored vehicle salespersons to the dirt field." The voice started "If you are here to buy or sell armored machines of war, that do not fly; please be at the dirt field in two minutes. Please have in mind the two most important things you want to focus on for your tank. Do not worry about overspending, we already did price checks and will point you toward what will fit your needs."

The intercoms started up again and the various camera crews got into place to record this for the private channal that all nations involved would have access to, along with their people if they wanted to give them that access.

"Before the various sales people begin talking to small groups or answering questions, we would like to tell you what each design is called." It began again. "We will also tell you where each is from and some baseline infomation to help you choose more effectively."

The cameras all pointed to a tank on the far left, and people were given time to move closer to it so they could look. A large tank stayed in place, humming softly as it's engine was on. The armored beast was awake.

"This is a design from our grateful allies, who have sold us the chasis cheap; which we were able to almost completely adpt to our needs." It explained "The M1A3 TUSK II is one of our best designs so far over here at NTAAS and we are proud to have worked on it. No worries, she drinks diesel."

The cameras moved and everyone was given time to move again, before the next tank was shown. A heavily modifed surplus MBT rumbled softly, the product of years of war and design.

"This is the Titan-7BV, it's a T-64BV with a roomy turret, the tank that won the first few battles of the Great Han Wars back in 1984." The intercom noted "This specific tank has seen three battles, and has been lovingly maintained by the Vadian National Defenders. She's rough, but she's cheap and she works just fine."

The group then moved yet again, the cameras turning to capture the slendor of another tank. The sun gleamed down on the dirt and crowd, softly warming them. A prototypesoftly purred, missing most of it's parts but just a few weeks from having them bolted on or in.

"This is the Contender 2, a Challenger 2 model with the gun of the Abrams M1A2." The intercom taught "The electronics are still being worked on for Phil-Iros, as the gun is considerably more powerful towards tanks now. The engine runs like a dream and the gun works exactly as needed, we just need to work out about three weeks worth of testing. She looks pretty young now, but her armor is very hard to beat."

Finally, everyone had moved to the other tanks; the ones that had been enemies just weeks before. The tanks that were invited in the name of peace and perhaps friendship. Even if things went horribly wrong, at least they had time to look the tankover when no one was around.

"Leopard 2 A7 plus." The intercom awkwardly spoke "A capable and highly adaptable design, that is locked in place against the Challenger 2 and Abrams M1A2; the three bettered only by designs that are extremely expensive, considerably heavy, and/or rather hard to import to this region. The Leopard isn't slow, it doesn't have a complicated armor, and it's biggest problem is a long, powerful gun. Jack of trades isn't always a bad thing, so please consider this design along with all the others."

The group moved, along with the cameras at another tank; which was being sold by one of the companies that newly arrived today. They would be able to easily import the tank into this difficult region, due to their transportation capabilities and their timing for this event. This was their movement to shine.

Harold and Bobby both looked ahead as the announcement boomed on the loudspeakers.

"Do you think we can benefit the country with these?" Bobby pondered

"I do not know, but with our frequent involvement in other countries, we might need more tanks." Harold responded

"Okay, lets look around." Bobby said in a serious tone.

After wares from other nations took their turn on the demonstration field, the announcer introduced the G2001 Leopard Advanced.

"Welcome to the Program Management Office of the Sovereign Federation of GEAR 1, and their military attache, Major Don Boothroyd from the 1st Battalion, 45th Armored Brigade Combat Team. Major Boothroyd is in command of the country's latest in main battle tank technology, the G2001 Leopard Advanced."

Leopard Advanced

"The Leopard Advanced carries an extended barrel, 125mm main cannon, with associated optics, laser targeting and shoot on the move capability. Recent combat reports hold that the Leopard Advanced scored 98.9% lethal kill hits on tank rounds fired in tactical action. It is also equipped with a multi-layered, classified armor formula that is proofed against rounds up to and including 140mm HVAT high velocity penetrators.

"Secondary weapons on board this rolling arsenal include four Javelin ATGM missile cells, an active smoke generating system of both M252 smoke grenade projectors and an engine oil injector system that causes fogging from the hot engine block of the gas turbine powerplant. Two turret roof machineguns and a coaxial machinegun provide close-in protection, and a remotely operated fifty caliber is also tied to the commander's independent gunsight system.

"Fully digitized and capable of being networked into the latest in Land Command battle management systems, the Leopard Advanced is already a combat veteran, with production units of the "Infamous Vandals" having engaged in multiple combat actions with no battle losses. It works in concert with the standard government issue G1A3 Abrams III tanks, G100A1 Combat Vehicle Heavy and LAV III Medium Infantry Vehicles, and the other platforms within the GEAR 1 ground forces.

"Company and Battalion command tanks are also outfitted with a next-generation, multichannel communications and data network system that ties into the latest versions of Battlefield Control v.5 Tactical Battlespace Management software, giving the ultimate in commanders' situational awareness.

Under the command of Major Boothroyd, the Leopard Advanced ran through its paces on the tank trials course, crossing the angled and water obstacles with ease, and blasting the simulated targets with its main gun and coaxial weapons. The demonstration was flawless, as if it had been rehearsed by the book.

"Rolling at the flank of the Leopard Advanced today is another of GEAR 1's successful products, the G100A1 Combat Vehicle Heavy, unofficially nicknamed The Crusher. Today's demonstration example is the Fire Support Team vehicle, FIST-V. Constructed from the base design of the CVH Anti-Armor Vehicle, this platform mounts four cells for the large caliber and long range Universal Missile System, which replaces the ADATS Air Defense and Anti Tank System. The UMS is capable of prosecuting ground and air targets with a common weapon and high explosive warhead. The FIST-V is utilized by artillery forward observers and combat lasing teams, with the advanced optical sensors, ground surveillance radar and targeting laser contained in a turret-top pod that can be trained independently of the weapon turret.

FIST Vehicle

"The CVH armored personnel carrier variant can comfortably carry thirteen soldiers into battle, including its onboard crew of three. The FIST-V has a crew of three with two additional dismounted scout seats and space to carry reloads for the UMS. Another commonly requested platform is the armored mortar carrier, equipped with the 120mm automatic loading Dragonfire II mortar.

Mortar Carrier

"Please see the GEAR 1 FMS team at table 1163 for more information and to get the opportunity to climb around these example vehicles with their team of product demonstrators from the ground forces."

The Willanian C-130 landed on time at the airport. It carried multiple crates of old gear and weapons, among other things.
The specialty they brung in four crates was a Willanian original, the AK-SPCM. Everyone knows what the AK stands for, but the SPCM part stood for Special Purpose Cartridge Mod. It was an AK-108, but redesigned to use the 6.8mm SPC round and also to jam way less often. [nation=short+noflag]Willyberg[/nation] had made a lot of them, as they were very cost effective; and now they were ready to unveil it to everybody.
As the plane landed and drove into a docking spot, the Willanian soldiers inside of it climbed out and started unloading crates full of things that would be revealed at the expo. One of the many things they brought was a fighter jet, the W-137 Vünderkraft.
The state-run military industry didn't make many tanks, as they imported most of them. The Heerführer and the Repräsentant were hoping to buy blueprints for a tank, or even better, get the tank itself.

The Heerführer and his men arrived at the base almost late. They got out and walked towards the entrance and made their way through security.
"Looks like they've got a lot of things set up, ja?", the Repräsentant said to the Heerführer as they walked along and admired the weapons and vehicles.
As they were walking over an NTAAS aid came up to the Heerführer, muttered a few words, bowed, and walked away.
"What was that all about?", the Repräsentant said quietly.
"He was probably mad about something. Let's not dwell on it.", he replied.
The Heerführer saw the W-137 Vünderkraft being put into position. He was glad that they were showcasing it; it was one that the designers in the Willanian Department of Defense could be proud of. All the resources, designing, manufacturing, etc. took place in Willyberg; which made it the first truly Willanian jet. They were ready to show it off after the tanks demonstrations were over.

The Heerführer and his men heard the loudspeakers boom, telling the tank sellers to go the dirt field.
"Looks like it's time to go. Let's go buy a tank, shall we?", the Heerführer said to his men. They moved together and stuck close to the two figureheads. It was a crowded place, and things can happen.
As the tanks were being demonstrated, two of them caught the Heerführer's eye.
"The TUSK and the Contender both seemed pretty promising, ja?", the Heerführer said to the Repräsentant.
"Ja, mein Heerführer. We'll have to see how much they cost though, we don't want to spend our entire budget on tanks.", he replied.
"We have money. There is more than enough in the Wermacht's budget to pay for a few dozen of those tanks."
"Alright, let's go talk to the sellers after they show the tank's capabilities, mein Heerführer."

Announcement from Table 1163 - GEAR 1

Postby Gear 1 » Sun Oct 04, 2015 9:26 pm

The expo announcer broke into a short period of music to provide a new message to the expo attendees:

"Greetings to all the expo attendees! This announcement comes from the GEAR 1 delegation at Table 1163. Please come to our table and meet representatives of our automotive and railroad industries!
