PUSHKAR FOREIGN RELATIONS CENTER
पुष्कर विदेश संबंध केंद्र
History // इतिहास // Pushkar was originally a city in Northern India, but after an army associated with the Catholic Church arrived in the Rajasthan Province of India in 1304 on a crusade that encompassed present day Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran with the purpose to capture non-christian religious cities Pushkar as well as many other cities in Northern India succumbed to the might of the army. Pushkar was a cite of pilgrimage (the pilgrimage is now banned by the government) and thus was a target for the large army which was made up of mostly soldiers from the Papal States but also had soldiers from France and The Holy Roman Empire (now Germany). The first attempt of crusading through Northern India only made a lasting impact on Pushkar, which became a Christian City-State shortly after as many of the crusaders stayed after the conquest was finished, but after continuing to supply Pushkar financially, militarily, and religiously, Pushkar expanded to parts of the Rajasthan and eventually the Gujarat Provinces. Pushkar now lays claim to all of the Rajasthan and Gujarat provinces but overlapping claims made by India are cause for dispute. The city of Pushkar has now been changed to the Holy City of Anteamalum which translates to "Formerly Evil" in Latin. Same of the cities names were changed to Latin, Italian, French, and sometimes German words but many retain the native name.
Government // राजनीति // Pushkar identifies itself as a "Theocracy with Constitutional Limitations". The Supreme King has full control over all of Pushkar but must meet humanitarian standards relating to employment, poverty, and sanitary issues. As long as these standards are met, the Supreme King has all the power. If these standards as not met, a Parliament is called and they control all power until the standards are met again. The Parliament is made up from elected members from towns exceeding or meeting 30,000 inhabitants who hold a life long term. Members are only paid while Parliament is in session, which is very rare. The position of Supreme King is not hereditary, when the Supreme King dies the power is transferred to the High Priest, and a new High Priest is chosen by the Panel of Holy Leaders.
