we forwarded your question to an expert, namely Vice-Admiral Amy Curadh, the head of the SDF-Navy Fleet Administration, and she replied:
"For a force with the mission you are aiming at and the capabilities you want, I recommend a core of one or two Carrier Battlegroups, light carriers would completely suffice, and two helicopter carriers, as well as a sizeable force of frigates and corvettes to keep enemy submarines at bay - if they have such vessels in sufficient numbers to post a thread. I would also recommend own submarines, as their effectiveness can not be overstated, and a Naval Aviation Component armed with AShMs and similar weapons.
For a sort-of Home Fleet, I would recommend squadrons of FACs as they are cheap in acquisition and upkeep and carry quite a bang in case they are needed.
A support group of fleet oilers, minesweepers, freighters and maybe the odd oceanographic research vessel might be a good idea, too.
The Coast Guard would ideally be equipped with Patrol Vessels and Patrol Ships, maybe the odd oiler, and patrol planes with long range and the capability to detect threads on the sea, below the sea and above the sea.
I am sorry, though, that I can't help you with your quest for equipment of the projected Marine Corps except with recommending Landing Ships and Amphibious Transport Docks - most modern Helicopter Carriers fill both the roles of ATDs and HCs."
Coincidentally, SDY offers most of the vessels she mentioned and is currently working on an own both a fleet submarine design and two designs for 'tank landing boats'.

If you wish for a second opinion, we recommend to you an independent advisor group named the YNW, which we have consulted on multiple matters in the past.

Yes, that is quite true. In Barisea's area there are no real modern countries (It's really complicated how that works)
And the ability to ram through an enemy ship would allow the flagship to breach a blockade, so that it could enter or escape.

I must say, it is very rare to see a modern company design such a vessel as the Hjemland class Sailing Vessel on their own. But where are my matters? I am the owner of the rental company, Hortensia's Watercraft Rentals. I rent out a great deal of odd, old, and exotic vessels for all manner of purposes. These include but are limited to: joy rides, reenactments, salvaging operations, and theatrical uses.

The last one is why I am sending this to you. You see, movies based at sea are very popular in the Protectorate. Especially those that take place in the mid 19th century. I can not help but think that your Hjemland would make an excellent proxy for ships from the era. I especially think that potential customers would think so as well.

My ordering form is below. I would, however, like to ask you make a slight adjustment. I like the look of the armored plates as they clearly say the vessel is a warship. But actual steel armor adds a lot of unneeded weight. Would it be possible to replace the armor with a lighter steal?

As for payment, I would like pay the 150,000,000 NSD bill in yearly installments of 25,000,000 NSD.

While the latter is possible according to Yard 15, we have to note, that your cost estimate for these two vessels, 150 million NSD, is slightly underestimated: The Basic Price for one Hjemland-class Sailing Vessel comes in at 200 million NSD, plus Armament Kit A and IEP, we come up to 350 million NSD per vessel, the armour modification being free. We suspect, that the error lies in us not making it clear enough, that the Kits are to be payed in addition to the basic price and the error will be corrected.
We are, however, willing to meet you in the middle, so to speak, with 175 million NSD per vessel, coming to a total of 350 million NSD, both in the interest of good business relations and the friendship, which SDY has with Christeria, and because it is indeed our fault. Your payment plan of installments of 25 million NSD per year sounds good to us.

Yes I understand. I just have a strong need to move large numbers of troops rapidly without using aircraft. Any modifications you could make to increase the speed would be appreciated. Otherwise, I will take the 8 ships of your proposed design.
