Terangai Airport Terminal 1

Welcome to Nools Terangai Airport, the new premier global gateway to Nools and beyond. With corporate goals targeting customer service, ease of business, global connections and environmental sustainability, Terangai Airport was built to provide Nools a new premium experience for all travellers, airlines, businesses and other stakeholders.

Terangai Airport is nestled in the island of Pulau Terangai, with a dedicated high-speed train service running to Ellies Field (CBD West) some 34 kms away, with stops in Hessington Place, Parc de la Gloire and Ang Kai (CBD East). Countless taxis, buses and other transports also link the airport all around the federal territory through the Terangai Bridge.

The Terangai Airport Masterplan will eventually see the operation of five passenger terminals, with an aggregate capacity of processing 250 million passengers a year. Terangai Airport also aims to become a bustling airfreight processing centre. This is why we have included in our masterplan the operation of three cargo terminals that will be able to handle over six million tonnes worth of freight annually. Furthermore, Terangai Airport will also become a technical hub with by renting out our many hangars to MRO companies.

Aside from the main business activities of flight operations, we here at Terangai Airport also believe in focusing on optimising the retail experience of passengers. This is why we have ensured there is a huge expanse of space available for businesses of diverse backgrounds to operate, ranging from food to books, duty-free to luxury goods.

With so many ambitious goals, diligent ethics and strong beliefs, we here at Nools Terangai Airport sincerely believes that it will become a truly global hub with reaches beyond the corners of the Earth.

Ground operations

Nools Terangai Airport is owned by the federal government's investment arm Khazanah Persekutuan Lté, however it is privately operated by Terangai Airport System Lté who is responsible for coordinating flights, retail businesses, contractors and the overall smooth operation of the airport.

As of June 2015, only Terminal 1 is in operation. The terminal is divided into two main buildings - the Main Concourse and the North Satellite concourse. These two concourses in aggregate have 70 gates with a turnover of six daily four-hour slots each gate, totalling to approximately 3000 slots a week. This in turn means that Terminal 1 can handle a passenger flow of up to 45 million passengers yearly. Ground handling is currently operated by Alpha Ground Logistics Lté, Ceronic Airport Services Lté and a few in-house airline ground handling companies.

The airport currently has one cargo terminal in operation which is managed by the of the subsidiary SkyPort. With the newest technologies integrated into the infrastructure, SkyPort optimises cargo processing and thus is able to handle two million tonnes of freight with one cargo terminal. In addition to the cargo terminal, there are also five hangars rented out to an assortment of MRO companies. These five hangars are large enough to accommodate the largest of civilian aircrafts in the air today.

Terangai Airport has two 4050m x 60m runways (07L/25R & 07R/25L) running parallel to each other. They are able to handle 34 aircraft movements per hour, totalling 68 totalling aircraft movements per hour. Made of concrete, both runways are certified with ILS Category IIIA Precision Approach and are able to withstand the heaviest and largest civilian airliners built to date.

T1 Immigration hall

Security and customs is our utmost and priority concern here at Nools Terangai Airport. That is why we have implemented many strict and effective protocols as well as state-of-the-art technology to protect both passengers and the interests of Cirona and its people.

Terangai Airport has a double-layer security process for departing passengers. This means that passengers are subject to a preliminary security check straight after immigration and a secondary security check before entering the boarding lounge. The double-layer security process will minimise greatly the incidences of prohibited items making it onto aircrafts. Despite such rigorous security, effective and sensitive training within the AFSP - Autorité fédérale de la Sécurité portuaire (Federal Port Security Authority) will ensure that passengers are not subject to undue procedures.

All incoming passengers are subject to Ceronic immigration laws and AFSP directives. Passengers must have appropriate visas (if applicable) prior to arriving at Terangai Airport as visa-on-arrival services are not available. Airlines that carry passengers without proper documentation (such as a passport with less than 6 months validity or a visa as required) may be subject to a fine from the Ceronic courts and passengers may be deported at their own cost under AFSP protocol.

Customs is taken very seriously in Cirona and at Terangai Airport. Arrival cards provides for passengers to declare foods, plants, animals, products made from raw natural materials and other items that may endanger Cirona's interests and environment. Anything that is found to be illegal to import will be confiscated on spot and either destroyed or held on to for a period up to two weeks for a departing passenger to take out, subject to AFSP's discretion. Failing to declare a good that is prescribed as declarable on the arrival card will result in confiscation and possibly resulting in a fine or in more serious cases, detainment and prosecution.

Although Cirona has rather lax legislation regarding narcotics, all non-medicinal (up to a certain amount) drugs must be declared. Importing narcotics and other contraband such as firearms is a serious crime in Cirona. Specifically, despite the legal status of cannabis in Cirona, it is illegal to privately import or export it. Any passengers found with contraband will immediately have all contraband seized and the bearer will be detained. Prosecution may result depending on severity, otherwise a fine will be issued. Passengers carrying cash to a sum of or more than CXF 15 000ƒ (NSD $11 670) must declare it. Failure to do so will result in a fine or if money laundering is suspected, the passenger may be prosecuted. All tobacco products must be declared and alcohol amounting to more than 1L must be too.

Terminal One is currently the sole terminal in the airport complex. The terminal has a floorspace of 770 000m2 split between the Main Concourse and the North Satellite concourse. Together, these two concourses have the ability to accommodate up to 480 flights daily with 65 aerobridges and 17 remote stands. Terminal One is placed in between runways 07L/35R and 07R/35L, making access to both runways fast and efficient for aeroplanes.

Main Concourse

The Main Concourse has a floorspace of 570 000sqm. All remote stand gates are assigned the prefix A and all aerobridge gates have the prefix C.

The Main Concourse houses all check-in facilities for Terminal 1. There 192 check-in counters split into 16 islands, as well as 80 self check-in kiosks for passengers' use. Immigration houses 30 counters and 20 e-gates while security has 30 lanes.

In the Main Concourse there are 55 aerobridges and 15 remote stands which are reachable with bus-ferrying services. Each gate has its own boarding lounge and prior to entering the boarding lounge, passengers are required to go through a second layer of screening. All gates can be used by aircrafts as large as the Airbus A380. There are 30 leasable business lots in this concourse and fifteen airline lounge plots. Due to the enormous scale of the terminal, there are automated people movers that operate within the terminal.

On the arrivals side, there are 30 immigration counters as well 20 e-gates, followed by 15 baggage claim carousels and then 30 customs counters, along with 4 detention rooms. After exiting the arrivals side, there is a large arrivals hall where passengers can choose a multitude of transportation into the city and beyond.

North Satellite

The North Satellite concourse has a floorspace of 200 000m² and is designed for narrow-body jets and smaller wide-body jets and is connected to the Main Concourse by an automated people mover. All gates in the North Satellite concourse are prescribed the prefix B.

There are ten jetways in this concourse that can be used by aircrafts up to the size of Boeing 777-200ERs. In contrast to the Main Concourse, the second layer of security for the North Satellite concourse does not occur at gates. Rather, the second layer of security occurs right before boarding the automated people mover. This eliminates the need for a closed boarding lounge concept in the North Satellite Concourse. There are seven business lots in this concourse.

As the North Satellite concourse is purely a boarding pier, departing passengers still check-in at the Main Concourse and arriving passengers clear customs at the Main Concourse too.

Millennium Airways is Woodstead's national airline operating from airports such as Woodstead's Oppidum International Airport and Vitalita International Airport in ViZion. With nearly 100 destinations and hundreds of weekly flights around the globe, Millennium Airways is taking form of a rocket to success.
