The naval forces desire to procure these most survivable vessels to secure the forward command and control of fleets at great distances from our shores. While deemed inefficient as offensive weapons, the shear survivability is far beyond any of our domestic designs. They will, if order is approved, be named after the three largest metropolitan areas of our nation.
