The Western Isles Trade Board
This Trade Board is meant to help connect the separate economies of The Western Isles through out the region by providing a convenient resource and gathering place. The Trade Board will archive a players chosen information about their economy so as to provide a quick reference and for the ease of comparison. The Thread below will serve as an excellent place to discuss economics with other players and establish organizations that regulate trade in an OOC forum before moving them to an IC one.
I would like to stress what The Western Isles Trade Board is not. The WITB is not a trade organization that imposes in character limits, it is simply a place to get information out and discuss it in public place. All members of The Western Isles past and present are allowed to participate and use this thread, unless you were banned from the region for a serious offense. I highly recommend that nation specific trade deals between yourself and one other be conducted over telegrams rather than on the board. I would also like to reaffirm all members of this threads right to critique and provide criticism for what you post, which means by posting here you accept their criticism as it is.
The Economy of Nations
This is the primary service this thread provides and it is closely link to the archive below, where all this information is stored for your convince. The first service of the Trade Boards is providing a place to quickly compare economies to find people to talk to in IC channels to discuss trade agreements or to simple establish trade. It is recommend you discuss your actual trade agreements over telegrams or through some other preferred means so that this can be handled in a manner best suiting your nation.
Below is the National Form that you can fill out and what will be place in the archive for your nation. Please read this section to the fullest extent before continuing.
- The first part is basic, people just need to know your name.
- The Second part, is what kind of economy your are running, laissez-faire, Regulated Capitalism, Socialism Communism etc.
- The Third part is how open your nation is to trade on a scale of one to ten.
- The fourth part is what your nation exports, simply put the name.
- The fifth part is what your nation imports, simply put the name.
- The sixth part is special it allows people to simply type 99 into the search bar and find your original form.

If you would like the WITB provides a service of letting people know whether you have real trade partners these things are going to. This service is fairly simple it is simply coloring the words to indicate to observers whether some of your goods, a lot of your goods or most of your goods are being imported or exported. If you do not have real people you are trading with yet that is fine, simply TG me or request in the thread that you would like your form updated and I will update it the next time I log in on a computer.
The Exchange Rate Program
Exchanges rates determine how much one dollar is worth in another country, usually this is ignored on NationStates but the WITB provides a service for getting this comparison. To have your currency compared to the NationStates dollar simply fill out the form below and submit it, it will be added alongside the other exchange rates in the Registry.

The Quality of Goods
In the real world not all products and services are made equal some are better than others and some are certainly not. Many people will usually have something about their nation that they think it does excellent in: from manufacturing specific things to mining to customer service. What you think of your nation does not matter as much though when you start roleplaying, what matters is how good the other guy thinks your stuff is or is not. Normally you would just be stuck at this point, however The Western Isles offers a simple service to get approval from the entire region to allow your goods to be consider "better" by your fellow roleplayers.
This service will be handled by a special form which will be posted in a separate section of the archive where others can easily see and browse through it. Simply being in the archive is not enough, you must find at least three people to support your claim on a public channel. Once someone post their support or refuting of your claim on a public channel you can provide a link so we can tally it up.

- You must provide links to both supports and refusals on public channels, only these will be tallied and to not could result in a disqualification from the archive.
- For a Quality Form to be disqualified it must be an actual case of intentional neglect; it will be heavily looked into before a decision is reached and it will also require an executive officer to make the final decision.
- If you believe your Form was wrongly disqualified you can reopen the case with a TG or if still refused, you can receive an official Pardon from the President or the Vice President and the Sec of Interior.
- There is a one claim per person limit in place until July 4.
- Claims must cover a specific section of an industry and they cannot cover entire sectors or industries.
A Simple Break down of the Form
- The name should be exactly what item, process, or service you would like to be of a higher quality.
- The Description should be done in writing and should provide an overview of why it is better and people should support it.
- Every support you can manage at submission and afterwords will be posted here.
- Every refusal you are aware of should also be submitted and will be posted here.
Some simple suggests to improve the likeability of your claim: keep it specific so you are lest likely to compete with others, use the description to show a good degree of personally knowledge, and dont plagiarize.
