Who We Are

Korovia Armaments is a growing modern weapons manufacturing conglomerate based out of the Kingdom of Monemvasia. Previously serving only the needs of the Kingdom's Armed Forces, Korovia Armaments now offers select products for export. Korovia Armaments was formed in 2014 from a merger of multiple corporations and is now majority owned by the government of Monemvasia.

Korovia Armaments specializes in offering reliable high end military items at an affordable price. Given the limited industrial capacity of the Kingdom, Korovia Armaments also offers Domestic Production Rights (DPR's) to larger nations. Please note that if a total unit order costs exceeds the cost of production rights, we will be informing you to purchase the DPR instead.

The exact arrival of purchased equipment depends on the size of each order and will be specified in official responses. In general, expect approximately 1 to 4 weeks. (OOC: We do this to maintain some semblance of realism. Products take time to manufacture and deliver overseas. When the time is up, you can start using your purchases in RP's freely)

Besides constructing new designs, Korovia Armaments exploits a niche market by producing upgrade kits for currently obsolete systems.

Korovia Armaments specializes in products tailored to the needs of individual customers. Our first codeveloped product was the Monarch-Class Destroyer, made to meet the needs of both Monemasia's and the Republica Federal de Catalunya navies. Currently, we are working on an upgrade of the Hzarland's AMX-30 tanks, designated the AMX-30B3. If you wish to discuss a possible jointly developed product, please sent us a telegram. Equipment and DPR's are delivered upon delivery funds via wire. A small contingent of experts is sent with each sell to assure that your military is trained properly to use our products. Korovia Armaments reserves the right to deny sells to nations for any reason and will perform a cursory background check on all buyers. If the nation requesting equipment is at war, the order will most likely be denied. In general, we do not discriminate based on a nation's chosen form of government, but upon the actions a nation takes on the international scene.

Sir, in agreement with the terms and conditions stipulated under the VMK AG Suppliers Act, the entity that shall hereby be referred to as Korovia Armaments has voiced its agreement to act, as according to His Majesty's Law, as a supplier of His Majesty's commercial entity, that shall hereby be referred to as VMK AG.

Korovia Armaments as the Supplier shall provide VMK AG the following listed storefront products, under the above mentioned Duration and/or Period of Contract printed:

The initial delivery of listed products as printed above shall be provided by the following date [three weeks as of the present day] and shall hereby be acknowledged as such by both the following parties [VMK AG] [Korovia Armaments] referenced and guaranteed in this contract.

As the Receiver of the above listed products, the following party [VMK AG] shall commit and oversee to itself that the required fund be provided to cover shipping costs related to the above listed products, in accordance with existing Royal Monemvasia and Imperial Yohannes shipping regulations, and to follow upon assorted commitment set to third-party providers of shipping of the above mentioned parties.

Korovia Armaments is proud to announce it is currently codeveloping an advanced new multirole aircraft with the Kingdom of Beiarusia. The Advanced Multirole Fighter (AMF) program is seeking both to create a robust aircraft for service in the Monemvasian Air Force, and to offer a comparatively affordable ($70 million NSD or less) product for export. The first competed component is the Helios B radar system.

Manufacturer: Trogir Electronics

The Helios B is a Active Electronically Steered Array (AESA) radar system, developed specifically for Monemvasia's Advanced Multirole Fighter program in cooperation with Kolt Aviation of Beiarusia. It is produced exclusively by Trogir Electronics and as such Domestic Production Rights are not available at this time. In the near future, it is expected that a downgraded variant (Helios BM) will be offered for export.

Description

Monemvasia lagged behind the rest of the world in electronic development, especially in the military sector, throughout the 1980's. That began to change in 1992 when Monemvasian scientists created a Gallium Arsenide Microwave Monolithic Integrated Circuit (GaAs MMIC) that could be mass produced. Production costs of these microchips were driven down the market for civilian applications, and this directly led to the beginning of the development of a cost effective AESA for the Monemvasian Air Force.

Helios A AESA radar system

AESA's are made up of a number of Transmit Receive Module (TR Module), a self contained package of an antenna, low noise receiver, power amplifier, and digitally controlled phase/delay and gain elements. The advantages of an AESA system over an older Passive Electronically Steered Array (PESA) include reduced sidelobes, reduced background thermal noise, and better reliability. The AESA uses hundreds of TR Modules instead of one or two transmitter tubes like the PESA. A failure in a transmitter tube will result in a compete loss of function, but the failure of several TR Modules will only degrade an AESA by a tiny fraction. Because of this, AESA's only need to be repaired once every 1-2 thousand hours of operation (usually several years of flight for military aircraft).

The Helios B specifically is highly influenced by the Russian developed Phazotron Zhuk AE radar. Over the course of the Advanced Multirole Fighter program, Monemvasian engineers were given unprecedented access to Beiarusian Air Force's advanced MiG-29 and SU-27 fleet, which use the Zhuk radar system. The Helios B sports 1,500 TR Channels (375 quad packed modules), 50% more than the latest Zhuk variant, a direct result in better packaging technology developed in Monemvasia over the past five years. This is comparable to most western AESA radars, although not as many as some advanced designs, such as the AN/APG-77 of the F-22 (apprx. 2,000) and the ERE.23 of the M.Cs 82 Illusion (2,600). The Helios B, like most AESA systems, can operate in a low priority of intercept (LPI) state.

The Helios B has an air to air detection range for fighter sized targets (Radar Cross Section (RCS): 1m^2) of 220 kilometers and an absolute maximum search range of approximately 270 km. Detection of smaller RCS aircraft becomes more likely at decreased ranges: approximately 120 km for RCS = 0.1m^2, 70 km for 0.01m^2, 40 km for 0.001m^2, and 25 km for 0.0001m^2. In application, this makes the Helios B capable of detecting stealth aircraft head-on, such as the F-35 and F-22 at ranges under 30 kilometers. From a side or rear angle, detection odds against the F-22 and especially the F-35 improve based upon their RCS profiles.

In air to ground operations, the Helios B can utilize synthetic aperture and Doppler beam sharpening capabilities. The Helios B can pick out a tank sized target at a range of approximately 50 kilometers, or a destroyer sized target at over 300. In total, the radar is capable of simultaneously tracking up to 60 contacts while engaging the 6 most threatening.
