The Moordenaar Klasse Multirole Fighter was originally designed to fulfill the gap between Rivearas' air superiority fighters and its ground attack aircraft. at the times of its design in 2006 Riveara lacked any effective multi role fighter. thus it was decided that a new Multi-role aircraft would be build. The company to win the contract was (Your name here). Their proposal was a semi stealth based fighter bomber that would offer decent maneuverability and limited stealth protection at the cost of speed and fire power.

Airframe/Construction:
Aluminum-lithium was used to create the fuselage, control surfaces, parts of the wing, and the majority of the aircraft. it was chosen for its strength and light weight as well as the fact that it can withstand a great deal of g forces in addition to being very flexible. Another major material used in the aircraft is carbon fiber-reinforced plastic. this is used to help reinforce the airframe and allow the aircraft to perform more aggressive turns. The rest of the airframe is made of Titanium and Nickel.

The actual shape of the aircraft is a tri-surface configuration with canards, swept-forward wing , and Canted vertical stabilizers. The reason for the swept-forward wing configuration is the aircrafts superior maneuverability at subsonic speeds as well as improved stall resistance and anti-spin characteristics and a shorter take-off and landing distance. This is especially important because the aircraft is expected to not only launch from ill prepared smaller dirt airfields but also from Strike Carriers and Navel Battle Groups.

In addition none of the aircraft contains 90 degree angles this helps reduce radar cross section. also the aircraft is extremely smooth except at the Pylons. This is done to help improve the stealth capabilities of the aircraft. This being said the engines and external pylons greatly increase the radar cross section of the aircraft. To help compensate for this it is coated in radar absorbent paint.

Propulsion/Engine:
The Moordenaar Klasse Multirole Fighter uses a two Limburge II Klass engines that are each capable of producing 22,500kg of thrust. The Limburge II Klasss are low-bypass turbofans, the advantage of these is better fuel economy and longer range, however they cost far more then a basic turbofan engine. The Limburge II Klasss' can produce a grand total of 45,000kg of thrust thus giving the Moordenaar Klasse an excellent trust to weight ratio allowing the aircraft to takeoff at a much steeper angle.

One of the more interesting features in the position of the engines. They both extend out behind the rear of the aircraft. this was done to give the engine room for full 3- dimensional thrust vectoring. By having 3- dimensional thrust vectoring the Moordenaar Klasse is effectively able to perform turns up to 9gs' far greater then any aircraft using conventional 2- dimensional thrust vectoring could hope to achieve. In addition both engines are capable of not only moving up and down at the base but also of doing so independently. This give the aircraft a slight advantage in maneuverability as well as allowing it to take off on even greater airfields and runways. This however does have its cost, because of the distance behind the rear of the aircraft its radar signature is greater then most modern stealth aircraft. also with the inclusion of circular engines the radar signature is increased even further.

Electronics/Avionics:
The Moordenaar Klasse uses a fly-by-optic system system to operate its flight controls. it works by having the movements of flight controls converted to electronic signals transmitted by fiber cables and flight control computers determine how to move the actuators at each control surface to provide the expected response. There are 4 (quadruplexed) independent channels that help prevent a loss of control to the aircraft.

Inside the cockpit there are 3 LCD monitors, one main screen and then two secondary screens. They display all the data the pilot will need in a quick glance about the aircraft. The main screen compiles all the sensors into a digital map of the entire battlefield. The other two screens are for showing the health of the aircraft along with communications, fuel consumption rate, and other information. The screens also have a touch screen capacity. this does away with the knobs and buttons to not only help make the aircraft neater and more manageable but also to reduce the chance of injury to the pilot.

Even the pilot's out fit is part of the aircraft. the helmet uses a display system that alerts the pilot on targets and lets him target them through it. friendly aircraft are shown as blue or green triangles on the helmet, red triangles represent hostile aircraft and yellow or white triangles represent neutral or non-combatant aircraft. in addition there is a missile tracking system that portrays the missiles of hostile aircraft as red squares with the center of the square showing the exact location of the missile. The system also allow the pilot to track acquire and engage hostile aircraft without even looking at them.
