Empire Television Corporation (Empire Télévision Société) serves more than 5.5 million people daily, and was formed in 1952 from the merger of Riverside Broadcasting and Watson Television, the largest metropolitan broadcasters in western and eastern Trelatche respectively. The newly formed Riverside-Watson Network was one of the leading broadcasters until the 1970s, when a new merger propelled it to prominence domestically.

After the acquisition of Reyson Broadcasting Company, the largest French network, in 1974, the renamed ETV had expanded to the point where it was finally able to assert the claim as the biggest news agency in the Federation of Trelatche, as well as in many allied nations and colonies. The acquisition of Reyson also marked the establishment of ETV-3, which offers French services for viewers, which is still a service we proudly offer today. Further affiliate channel partnerships allowed ETV to cooperate with other independent news organizations, and collaborate information with each other. While initial affiliate deals were faced with some difficulty, a streamlined application process allowed for eased communications, ushering in further expansion. Today, ETV is one of the largest broadcasters in the nation, and one of the few to offer complete online services, as well as full international coverage.

The network offers progressive coverage of the latest stories that matter and are important to all. Starting January of 2014, High-definition live streams and ETV-2 are now available to subscribers, right here on NationStates, as well as our live webcast, which can be found here. ETV offers many plans for broadcasters and viewers alike. We are constantly looking for new broadcasting affiliates in foreign nations, as well as a growing audience for the entire ETV Network. Below are some of the plans that are available with their details summarized.

We have multiple channels for consumers to choose, including:

ETV-1 (English) - Our standard channel included with basic cable. Watch a variety of documentaries, news, sports, and tv shows, as well as programs offered by our affiliate networks. Standard basic charge applies.

ETV-2 (English) - Watch more in-depth shows and documentaries, as well as all programs and benefits available on ETV-1. Monthly cost of §15 additional per household. Broadcast in 720p internationally.

ETV-3 (French) - This channel is broadcast in french, and caters to the French-speaking communities around the world. Similar programs are aired, except in french. Broadcast in 720p internationally. ETV Movies - A complete movie-oriented channel, for those interested in watching the latest and/or classic flicks right in your own home. Don't like the movie playing currently and want to watch something different? This channel also has an on-demand feature which allows you to select from an extensive database of movies that we offer. Broadcast in 1080i. Monthly additional cost of §15 per household.

ETV HD (English) - Broadcast in 1080i, this channel offers a high-definition alternative to ETV-1 and ETV-2. Monthly cost of §25 per household.

ETV Sports (English/French) - Focusing on the latest in athletics both at home, and NS Sports, this channel gives in-depth coverage of sporting events and competitions. Monthly cost of §21 per household. English and french services can be changed when requested, and will not have any additional charges.
