BUYING S-125 Neva/Pechora and SA-2 FC (Guideline) missiles

Postby Radicchio » Thu Apr 16, 2015 10:41 pm

The Radicchian Regular Army, Air defense division is currently seeking to purchase 1500 units of the S-125 Neva/Pechora (Goa) of any modern series and 500 units of the SA-2/S-75 FC Dvina (Guideline) missiles of series V-755U or newer to upgrade and replenish launch systems which we have been developing based on the Russian T-54/T-55 Chasis.

Compatible missile systems are not required, as the missiles we recieve will be retrofitted to suit the detection systems in use by the RRA.

Currently, Radicchio is under no trade embargoes or sanctions within it's region and this purchase is fully funded by the Radicchian Department of Defense.

Arms sellers welcome but Individual Nations are encouraged to make supply offers.
We have the means to make a trade agreement for industrial equipment if you would prefer, however the offer is backed by hard cash in $NSD?
Describe the missiles, where you got them and any special issues or restrictions that come with them.
I am sure that there will be questions so feel free to go into some detail in your description.

For all interested parties, Please post here in address to our administrator in this matter;

[MESSAGE ENCRYPTION LEVEL: HIGH

To Mr. Gordon in his service to The Radicchian Regular Army Air Defense.
We will be able to supply you with 800 units of the Cuban-Haitian People's S-125 Neva/Pechora Missiles which we have no need for. We prefer that you make no announcement of this trade or deal and that transfer of the product be made in International Waters and by vessels of a non-military nature.
The Missiles are of the most modern series but have had the explosive warheads removed for fitting to a test series of missile which we are developing for our own use. These warheads will need to be replaced for the missiles to be serviceable.

Describe the missiles, where you got them and any special issues or restrictions that come with them.
I am sure that there will be questions so feel free to go into some detail in your description.

We can sell you these missiles at a cost of $100,000 each of a total cost of $80,000,000.

ENCRYPTION: MAXIMUM

I can understand the sensitivity of our request.
I am prepared to transfer funds for the missiles in their afore mentioned condition.
Your price is a little high for unarmed missiles and i would counter with an offer of 50 Million NSD for these missiles. If this is reasonable then i already have a ship in the area that can make the exchange.

Dictated but not read.
Jack Gordon.

Having considered the counter offer that you have made, we will be able to supply you with the 800 units of the Cuban-Haitian People's S-125 Neva/Pechora Missiles at your price of $50 million.
We will dispatch the load on two ships and the missiles will be delivered in shipping containers with 4 disassembled missiles packed in each container.

You may transfer the funds and rendezvous with our ships in the caribean at your own initiative.

The people of our federation will benefit greatly from this sale.

Republiek Van Rookanse

To: Jack Gordon of Radicchio
From: Thatcher Vittermind

Greetings! It is a pleasure to converse with our friends at the Colony of Radicchio once more. We see that you are putting the husks of the T-55's into good use. We also see that your nation is in need for the slavic missile systems to accompany them. Of course, Rookanse is always glad to help a nation like yours. We have interacted in the past, and you are an honorable people. We, at Rookanse, are still dumbfounded, however. I try not be in situations like these, but I am a blunt man. What on earth are you doing? Taking subpar tanks and putting subpar missiles on them? There are much more modern and efficient ways of securing anti air weapons. If money is an issue, then please say so, but we feel that your project is not that feasible. Despite my personal misgivings, the government has given me the go ahead on offering your nation a missile of ours. Rookies' premier military company, Dyaas-Nildhelm Onderneming has an air to air missile which can be changed to a surface to air configuration. If you are still interested, then please respond.

Greetings and Salutations old friend!
And thank you for your reply to our request.
The T-55 project has gone well ad our engineers at Wexler have been able to refit every chassis which we have received. We replaced the engines with modern Diesel powerplants, scrapped the turrets for pot metal, sold the guns to neighboring nations who were building a coastal battery (lord knows why) and after parting out the non-essentials (including the old engines) to other nations for spare parts, we spent an average of $10666 NSD per unit to create a series of 360 bare T-54/T-55 chasis with improved mobility, range and speed.
Now where on Earth am i ever going to find a modernized, armored tractor for the price of a used Chevy?
Subpar? I say a diamond in the rough...
And it is the feeling of the Governors here in Radicchio, that moving forward with the "T-55 MOBILE Guideline Project," using Radicchio indigenous radar systems, the improved tank chassis which we have already completed and a bolt-on optical guidance package, these outmoded missiles will prove as a cheap and effective anti-aircraft and anti-balistic missile solution for intermediate ranges.
Most importantly, two or 3 missiles of this type will do the job of a 3 million dollar Arrow Missile (from Yisraeli Defense Systems) at 300k.

Is money an object? of course it is, but not because we do not have enough of it, rather because we feel that either purchasing another top of the line missile system or even indigenous developing one, would be an unwise use of our money. So instead, the governors have me out looking for another... Diamond in the Rough.

So, if your nation or your company has some of these old Junk missiles, V-755 or newer laying around, I will buy them and let my engineers determine whether they are on-par or not.

Thank you again for contacting me in this matter and i hope to hear from you soon.

From: Major General Taniwan Shi
To: Jack Gordon, Colony of Radicchio

Greetings.

My office is in possession of a large number of V-601 missiles for the S-125 Pechora missile system and we would be willing to sell them to the nation you represent, or to exchange them for aircraft missiles. The missiles have been stored in three underground missile storage sites at Dien Air Base and most are in their original boxes which they arrived in when we received them from the Soviet Union. Overall the missiles are in almost new condition and should be combat ready.

Currently there are 1200 missiles of the V-601 type in my offices inventory and available for immediate shipping. Price is negotiable.

If possible we wish to trade our missiles for R-73 air to air missiles, pending negotiation.

May good suns shine upon you, Major General Taniwan Shi

Well, that certainly was a mouthful. However, I can see now your reasoning. Rookies is building its own products for national pride, but war machines can come from anywhere, so we applaud your efforts. Now that we have an explanation, Rookanse has looked through its inventories and it appears that we have but a few of this type of missile. Our nation has not traded with any of the Slavic powers, so we do not posses such weaponry. Our enemies, however, have. Last year, Special Forces stormed a strorehouse used by rebels. Behold, inside, we found such missiles. We were dumbfounded, not expecting our enemies acquiring such advanced equipment. Around that time, it was decided, just like the tank husks, to store them as well. I'm glad we have done so. Rookanse has in its possession:
~314 Neva Missiles

While its little, it is a start, and any more we find, we shall send to you. Thank you.
