Continuing in her quest to produce, and market, cheap firearms for the masses, Eoihanna Soraski consulted her engineers to develop the cheapest handgun possible. Ideologically, the idea was simple: provide the world's poor with a firearm they could carry daily or even conceal (impossible with the Stanley submachinegun), and one that would be legal in jurisdictions that do not allow a submachinegun – even though, of course, SAI firearms can be made available through global smuggling networks.
The solution had been to produce a firearm out of Zamac – a zinc-aluminum alloy. Having purchased an injection-molding facility in Minograd, Eoihanna set about producing the cheapest semi-auto pistol possible. (Though some reliability issues were known, there is no documented incident of a catastrophic failure in a Zamac firearm). The firearm that resulted, though still fairly basic, was equipped with a magazine hold-open feature for the last round, and a high-visibility red front sight for ease of aiming. It is compact enough to be carried in a pants pocket or a purse, though of course using a proper holster is still recommended. The rear sight is of a non-adjustable type, enabling the firearm to be used with a degree of accuracy at self-defense ranges.
The firearm comes with a single, cross-bolt safety, and is equipped with a thumb-operated magazine release. An internal magazine-out safety disables the firing mechanism when the magazine is removed from the firearm, meaning that the ES-9 pistol can only be fired when the magazine is inserted.
For the user's safety, a loaded chamber indicator and a cocked indicator have been included with the IS-9. Do not attempt to disassemble the firearm when it is cocked and loaded. Soraski Arms International is not responsible from any damage or injuries that may occur from improper use of the ES-9.
Note: Because of Eoihanna Soraski’s political views, the gun is not available for government purchases except as study samples. Eoihanna Soraski will not sell this gun for use by military forces or law enforcement groups. The only exceptions are either private militaries, or government programs aimed to arm civilians (like the Civilian Marksmanship Program).
We at Soraski Arms International remain dedicated to our cause of providing self-defense products for the poor and disadvantaged. We are happy to respond to customer queries at all times.
