Scottopia City International Airport
(IATA: SCO) is the major international airport for the Scottopian Isles, located 11 miles North of downtown Scottopia City, in the Council of Capitola adjacent to the waters of Firth of MacKenzie. It hosts flights to points throughout the Royal CommonWealth, as well as Interregional flights to the nations of Astyria. International(Non-Astyrian) flight gates are also available so all peoples can enjoy the beautiful Scottopian Isles.
SCO started out as McGregor Barracks, a military base in 1893, and a runway for airplanes was erected in 1927. Due to large migration of Scottopia's population, and the strategic location of the airfield, a public deal between the government and military made possible the transition of McGregor Barracks to civilian aviation transport in 1974 as McGregor Municipal Airfield. Since the relocation of the national capitol from Urquhart to the newly created Scottopia City in 2007, major construction projects and land reclamation efforts have turned it into the largest airport in the Scottopian Isles. The name change from McGregor Municipal Airfield to Scottopia City International took place in 2008. In 2013, it was the seventeenth busiest airport in the Region of Astyria by passenger count.
It is the primary hub location for the national carrier, Axios Airways and houses their main maintenance and training facilities for the airline. The Air Force of the CommonWealth continues to hold a portion of airport for their use and it is also home for selected Coast Guard aircraft for missions in the Gulf of Scottopia. In addition to numerous duty-free shopping and restaurant establishments, Scottopia City International Airport boasts hotels, casinos, fitness centers and spas all located within the airport, along with the McGregor Aviation Museum with a collection of aircraft from the early days of flight to the present. The Bi-Magnetic Accelerated Rapid Transportation(BART) metro system expansion to the airport has been completed, and can link any passengers to all districts of Scottopia City, aswell as provide travel across the waters to Morris Park and New Edinbrugh.
The area highlighted
GREEN is the Main Hall and International Terminal, for ticketing and check in of all passenger flights wither Domestic, Regional or International. Travellers leaving the region of Astyria will not be able to access other parts of the airport and will be limited to just the Main Hall. Several gates are reserved in the Main Terminal for the use of the Royal CommonWealth of Scottopian Isles Government and their Diplomatic Guests.
For the terminals highlighted
ORANGE, passengers boarding flights to other parts of the Scottopian Isles will be ushered to Terminal 1, which use of is exclusively for Axios Airways or Asytrian Carriers who wish to do inter-council flights within the Scottopian Isles. Terminal 1 includes Gates B20-39 and C40-48.
Those whose travels bring them to or take them outside of the Royal CommonWealth will be moving to the Terminals 2 and 3. Terminal 2 which includes Gates D50-59 and E60-69 are Interregional Departures to Astyrian nations, while Terminal 3 Gates F70-90 are for Interregional arrivals from Astyria. These terminals are open to all Astyria airline carriers.
Areas which are in
LIGHT GREY, are parking garages for those in automobiles or motorcycles. Considering not everybody will have a vehicle, public transportation for SCO is well respected and highlighted by the
DARKER GREY shows roadways to the seperate terminals, Tram-lines around the airport as well as the newly completed BART metro station.

Attention: Airport Food & Beverage Director
Does your airport take pride in providing the best in customer service to your guests? We believe the answer is a resounding yes. And we believe airports are an important factor in helping guests prepare for their holidays. However, rarely does a beverage selection go beyond the basics of quenching thirst. We have the answer for you which will not only quench your guests thirsts but also mentally prepare them for their holidays.
South Seas Soda Company has been handcrafting traditional and tropical sodas for 140 years, making it one of the world's oldest soda companies still in existence. In addition, we currently have 31 vintage and new flavors to choose from. All of our vintage flavors are the exact recipe penned by our founder over a hundred years ago, while our new flavor combinations are masterfully created by our creative flavor team. With so much experience and a wide variety of choices available, our 16 oz. glass bottled sodas can not be beaten. We believe each of your guests will find a soda they can love.
South Seas Soda Company believes in the transforming ability of our tropical sodas to mentally transport an individual to the tropics, even if only for a short while. This makes a perfect compliment to your airport, as your flights are physically transporting your guests to a new location. No doubt many of your guests are taking a holiday. What better way to quench their in-flight thirst than with a soda holiday to the South Seas?
We believe a partnership with your airport is of mutual benefit to both of our respective companies. Our company would be delighted to join the food and beverage selections offered within your terminals, and formally requests such an addition from your management. If possible, we would like to be located in your international terminals.
We await your response with great anticipation for the wonderful things that may become.
With cheer,
Allistair Houghton
