Since the election of Lord Kauvin as the Prime Minister, the situation in Murland has turned from bad to worse, thanks to his and his cabinet's aggressive, egoistical and half-hearted approach to the Home Rule Issue in Murland. The House of Parliament, which has an overwhelming Conservative majority, has revoked several land distribution measures taken by the previous Liberal and Sinclairist(the government led by Sir David Sinclair, a center-right and moderately liberal Prime Minister) Conservative governments under the Murish Home Rule Acts. One of the major changes was that all fertile farmlands in Murland were mostly given over to Murish farmers, and the power of non-Murland based Protestant landlords who owned the land and exploited the farmers were reduced to a drastic extent. But the newly formed right wing Conservative government, led by Lord Kauvin, revoked those land distribution acts and the landlord's were once again able to buy the lands.

Berington, a village and civil parish in Murland, was among the many villages that were affected. Most of the farms in and around Berington were given over to the Murish Catholic farmers who live in this village due to the Home Rule Acts. However in 2020 with the revoking of the Second Home Rule Act, the farms were once again taken over by the landlords. In an effort to boost up production from these farm lands, they forced the farmers to incessesantly use fertilizers and other chemical products to increase production of crops. This was a disaster as the lands got contaminated and the once highly fertile farmlands were ruined. This prompted a violent response from the now jobless and economically impoverished Murish farmers and riots became common place. The landlord of one of these farms, Britland based businessman Thomas Childers, was killed by an angry mob during his visit to Berington. This prompted the government to take some steps as the situation here was getting out of hand. The government took over the land and were able to calm the enraged farmers with promises of employment in other sectors. This is why the government was forced to establish a breuerie in this village to generate employment.

We are apprehensive to learn the situation is so dire, but we do agree that a breuerie would be beneficial to the people, even if there is a financial risk if things destabilize further and political hostilities open.
