We may have a low population, but my country is by no means poor. The former Empire of United Savassah didn't squander all of it's money when it declared war on itself. There are still large gold stockpiles in ruined strongholds across the country, most of them, however, are radioactive and would require heavy hazmat gear to retrieve. There are plenty of pieces to pick up.
