North West Customs

Introduction
North West Customs is a household name in Connagh. With a nation that has a motor sport and automotive culture as rich as Connagh's, it is only natural that great companies will rise to meet the needs and demands of the industry. NWC is just but one of those companies which has achieved great success in its domestic market, and is now expanding globally. In 1971, Mr James E. Taylor began tuning, customizing and conceptualizing some of the worlds greatest cars from his garage in Nuffex, in the north western region of Connagh - a region passionate in its love for automobiles. Very quickly his home-run company became a huge success and through multiple sponsorships, perseverance and a lot of blood, sweat and tears, North West Customs franchised across the country, allowing motoring enthusiasts the chance to have their very own one of a kind dream car.

History
In 1971, James E. Taylor opened the very first branch of what is now North West Customs, under the name ' The One Stop Auto Shop'. From his home garage, he tuned and repaired people's cars - his most prominent customers being young males with a love of modified vehicles. Very quickly, Taylor hitched on to this and invested in that market greatly. In 1973 Taylor teamed with an amateur driver by the name of Frank Brydon, the pair built and raced a one off car that caught the attention of every petrol head in the country, and within the year the were receiving offers from major automotive companies both domestic and foreign.

It was around this same time that the name of the garage was changed to its current form - North West Customs. It was also at this time that the first new shop was opened for business. Since then the company has been reaching milestone after milestone and accounting fantastic levels of success. For a brief period between 1987-1989 the shop hit some turbulence when there was a dip in the economy, but through what some believe to be sheer luck and some business knowledge the company managed to pull through.

Today, North West Customs maintains over 32 garages across Connagh. It has customized and tuned over 50,000 vehicles and maintains some of the most exceptional staff in the country, both in the shop, the design studio, and the office. Each member has a deep rooted passion for automobiles, and each one takes great pride in working to achieve the ultimate goal of the company - producing an aesthetically perfect one of a kind vehicle for the customer.

Projects
With a whopping 50,000 unique vehicles to claim for, the North West Customs portfolio would take one a lifetime to truly admire. Below are some of the companies proudest creations.

The North West Customs' pride and joy is the 2002 BMW 3 series drift car. With over Kr184,000 (USD$98,000) worth of aftermarket parts and modifications under its hood the car is not something to be taken lightly. It competes on a domestic and international level, claiming three consecutive drifting championships for the years 2010 to 2013. Not only is the car capable of producing the power of near 675 horses on command, but the shear beauty of the car - its wide set arches, gaping mouth and sleek spoiler appeals to the boy racer within us all. The car has since been plastered in sponsorship stickers however, whether this adds to or takes away from the cars aesthetic is a matter of personal opinion.

The NWC Rally car is a 2012 Ford Focus. With a powerful custom built supercharged 2.0 liter, high-revving engine capable of over 300 horsepower and its agile nature giving immediate response to driver commands, the 'quaint' car is well able to hold its own against some of the big rally world champs.

North West Customs isn't always just about performance. We understand the value of comfort and luxury too - people like to show off their rides, and there is not better way to do it that the full North West treatment. Displayed below is a 2003 Hummer H2, brought into the NWC shop by none other than TreeFIddy, Connagh's number one Hip-Hop and RnB artist. The truck was kitted out with huge chrome rims and low profile tires to match, an entire new body kit, lighting and sound system, a revamped interior, chrome protectors, a tune up that really lets that 6 liter monster roar. Some underlying neon light were also attached to ensure the truck stays the center of attention.
