Since our first flight to Oppidum International, a steady increase in passenger numbers to your destination has significantly increased. As of April 2014, our operations to your airport are insufficient to meet the demands of our guests. To alleviate this, we have decided to increase our service with the following changes:

I am grateful that you are able to accommodate for so many keen travellers between our two nations, and we wish this expansion of operations to be of great benefit to Londsdale and Woodstead.

GRANORPA (formerly Grand Northern Ports Authority), the owners and operators of Oppidum Airport, are excited to celebrate the opening of their fourth terminal with the joint-first for largest airline group, Royal Kingtonian Airways part of the Royal Kingtonian Airways Group- a subsidiary of ViZionAir.

Furthermore, we would like to announce that we are closer to our mid-June target of 800 flights weekly, and we are just 14 away! Millennium Terminal (formerly independent of Oppidum Airport as Millennium Airport) boasts 187 weekly flights to date; Terminal One brings in 106 new weekly flights; 51 flights come in through Terminal Two every week; Terminal Three brings a grand, whopping total of 406 flights; and our new terminal- Terminal Four will now features 36 flights to Kington Langley.

Furthermore, we are elated to announce that, through Millennium Airways, we are working with Space Night Transportation to make Oppidum Airport a great place for moving light cargo across Astyria. To deal with the flow, we will be lengthening emergency and low-capacity runways over the coming months; this will help as the Minister for Infrastructure has allowed us a grant to commission a fifth terminal- a restoration and extension of a former terminal which never quite took off!

The Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Global Affairs has today announced a grant for a diplomatic and military airport- just for us- Oppidum will be become central to accommodating private aircraft for ambassadors to Woodstead.

We would like to express gratitude to all of our fellow air people- staff, partners, airports, and shop-owners across the whole project. We are now lifting off!

As some of our clients are already aware, most jet-ways are funded by the Helping by Sponsoring Scheme, which was launched when we started. So far, we have some sponsorships within Astyria, yet we do not seem to be grabbing anyone else. We feel that if stores and flights are not part of your business, you could well be up for this...

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You pledge us a fee for the month, which is currently 20,500.⁰⁰ NationStates Dollars (sometimes fluctuates in small fractions).
Together we will allocate you a jet-way- or jet-ways in the airport.
You can use the interior walls to advertise.
You can display your logo on the exterior with our help.
You obtain some advertising on our sites we administer; the banner for example.
Screen space in the terminals- a silent advert will be periodically played along with others and the local news and weather.

WHAT DOES THAT ACCOMPLISH?

It saves airlines money, as we can charge less for lease.
It gives you space which is exposed to thousands of people a day- we currently deal with around 800 flights--- think of how many new people.
It makes the terminals less cluttered, but still gives us a pool of money.
We feel that it is a mutual agreement.

WHO CAN AND CANNOT APPLY?

Most companies can apply.
Sometimes airlines pay the sponsorship so that they can use a gate which uses their image.
We scrutinise to make sure the business is professional ,sustainable, and unlikely to use our airport for misleading the public.
Companies which support openly, or carry out certain practices deemed unethical by us.
We tend to steer away from governments and political campaigns as we believe that it is not to do with us.

Also, we still have shops, gates, and serviced hangar space to stretch out.

Greetings,

The maintenance performed over the last few days is almost complete. Therefore, we would like to hear from you. We still have gates, shops, and advertisement opportunities- or if you have other plans, you can make them known. Our management staff are on standby to make sure that Oppidum Airport and its partners thrive.

Over the maintenance period, we gained two new double frontages to our stores, and three extra daily flights which will be announced/ revealed on our site later. For now, we hope you like the general layout- we believe it is easier to navigate, and much, much cleaner. We will still be working over the coming days to finish. Furthermore, Millennium Airways has announced even more operations.

Oppidum Airport is currently in talks at a convention of five entities known as Unite4Flight. The convention is jointly hosted by Antebellum International Airport in Cez - Zaeri, the Libettan flag carrier LibettAir, the airport trio of LibPort, the Woodsteasian airline Millennium Airways, and the Oppidum Airport team. The objective is to make air travel across Cez - Zaeri (Cezary), Libetta, and Woodstead more frequent. Operation leaders and managing directors will be signing the agreement for certain routes this week in Oppidum, and plan to finish the main phase by January 2015.

UPGRADES
OPPIDUM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IS UPGRADING ITS SPACES AS WELL AS PLANNING A FOURTH RUNWAY AS TERMINAL 5 NEARS COMPLETION. THROUGHOUT THE FIRST SIX DAYS OF SEPTEMBER, ALL GATES AND LOUNGES WILL BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR A QUICK AND THOROUGH UPDATE- A LICK OF PAINT, NEW LIGHTING, AND A GENERAL SPRUCE UP.

GOING PUBLIC?
THE OWNERS OF THE AIRPORT'S OPERATOR, OPPIDUM AIRPORT GROUP, WILL BE CONSIDERING THE FATE OF THE GROUP AFTER SPECULATION THAT THE OAG MAY GO PUBLIC AS A LISTED EXCHANGE COMPANY (DESIGNATED AS A PLC); CONCLUSIONS ON SUCH TALKS WILL BE CLARIFIED.

GATE RATES
GATE LEASING RATES WILL BE SLASHED IN THE TERMINALS BY 20% FROM 2015, WHILST BOARDING FEES WILL BE TURNED UP BY 5%. THIS IS IN THE LATEST BID TO GET MOST GATES TO A HIGHER CAPACITY BEFORE ANY SIXTH TERMINAL IS PROPOSED. IT ALSO WILL ENSURE THAT SMALL, LOWER-DEMAND SERVICES MAY RECONSIDER THE FREQUENCY OF FLIGHTS.
