UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR ACQUISITION, TECHNOLOGY AND LOGISTICS

RE: GXT 470

The Secretary of State for Defense has tasked the Office of the Under Secretary of State for Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics with procuring a modern BLUFORCE tracker, as the current models in service are becoming more and more obsolete in the modern warfighting space. The Office of Defense Technical Information has identified the Schwyz Defense GXT 470 as the premier option on the market today, which is exactly what the Secretary of State for Defense has requested. The Secretary has given this office a preliminary task to ensure the procurement and delivery of these handheld units to all platoon leaders, company commanders, and battalion commanders before the end of this calendar year.

Please review the procurement form below, and let us know the final cost for these units, as well as any costs associated with training regimens and personnel required to integrate this system into our forces.
