Introduction

Welcome to the International Civil Aviation Safety Board, or the ICASB. Due to lack of safety regulations worldwide we saw it fit to set up a regulatory board to make your flight safer and happier. Aviation safety is in our blood; is it in yours?

How We Work

By collaborating and co-operating we ensure a safer skies for everyone. By utilising airline's strengths we can make every airline excellent.

About Our Founding Fathers
Miraco, owner of Air Miraco, one of the best airlines in the business

Absolute Power, past owner of World Wide Airways and current owner of Alpha Airlines

Ceni, owner of Ceniana, a massive airline in the aviation industry

Zitru, owner of Destiny Airlines, a very high quality airline that caters to large amounts of people.

Rabopari, owner of Air Solus, a relatively small airline that is devoted to safety and luxury.

Our Aims
-To improve aviation safety
-To prevent any lethal disasters happening
-To promote the aviation industry
-To solve any aviation incident and to advise airlines on prevention of tragedies
We will do this by:
    Suggesting designs to aircraft manufacturers

Members of The International Civil Aviation Safety Board [ICASB],
International aviation industry - airlines, air-forces, airports, aircraft manufacturers, nations,
To Whom it may concern,

The creation of an international organization responsible for the safety of flights around the world is a most important need. Millions of passengers fly to hundreds or thousands of destinations daily, and while the services they get - comfort, cuisine and entertainment are well catered, perhaps the first matter of importance - flight safety - is still rather undeveloped in the industry. Airlines and airports do advertise their high level safety and security, but there is no one to check their actual performance. While passengers may choose a different airline if they find the services they get unworthy, a safety issue will only be found in real time, when something happens. That's unfortunately too late.

Therefore, Aelandic Aviation Administration [AAA] and Kreidberg International Aerospace-port support the foundation of this organization. However, we believe that in its current form and method of operation not only that it doesn't fulfil its mission, it actually reduces safety by creating a false impression of the airline being inspected, while there are no set standards and enforcement of regulations. In the current situation, a short message by the airline or airport confirming it is safe and that it will take responsibility for any accident are enough for it to receive ICASB membership. As stated above, this makes the ICASB useless and untrustworthy.

Passengers' well being and safety has always been in the top of the AAA's agenda. After an urgent meeting with President of Aeland Ms. Helga Sigilind Bager, she decided to get personally involved in this issue, giving The International Civil Aviation Safety Board immediate $1,000,000 NSD funding and allocating a building in Kreidberg International Aerospace-port for its use. A working plan suggestion has been made, and if and when it is accepted by ICASB, the funding will be transferred immediately and the building will be opened for use.

Our suggested plan follows:
  • ICASB representatives and aviation experts from around the world will move to Kreidberg, where they could work closely and with easy access to many countries.
  • Safety ratings will be given to members after they answer a comprehensive questionnaire and are inspected by representatives of several nations. A final rating will be given by the average of all expert's decisions, to increase objectiveness.
  • In the questionnaire, members will have to widely explain safety measures. Short explanations usually indicate the lack of transparency.
  • Applying members would have to publish their rating in a visible place in their storefront, regardless of results. Not displaying a bad rating would cause detention from the organization and a safety warning.
  • Inspectors from any member could ask any other member any question regarding their operation, and the asked member will have to answer it within a reasonable time period. Unsatisfactory answers will be notified to other members and may cause the reduction of the member's rating.
We believe that by accepting our suggestions, the ICASB will benefit increased trustworthiness and effectiveness, and will become a standard for any member of the industry, saving the lives of many passengers around the world. We would like to state that regardless of the ICASB's response, the AAA will operate in the near future to establish international safety standards, though we very much look forward to working with you.

Looking forward to your reply,
Alexandria Sent, head of AAA.

Dearest Nation,
Whilst we respect your ideas, the ICASB is an international organisation, therefore we "reside" in no nation. For this reason we must refuse your request for us to move to Kreidberg. Apart from that, your ideas are valid and will be used. Air safety is in all our values and we highly respect your opinions, please, telegram us for more. Our aims are similar and we look forward to a close partnership in the near future,
Sir David Stone, ICASB delegate for Absolute Power

Dear Mr. Stone,

Unfortunately, I fail to understand to logic of having the headquarters of this organization in a floating airport. Your decisions are respected, but we believe it is a real waste of energy, which is both un-environmentally friendly and a waste of the organization's limited resources (both keeping it afloat and maintaining it undoubtedly cost huge sums of money). Thanks to the use of diplomatic passports, objectivity can be kept even when operating from a certain nation. Just like World Assembly buildings are found around the world (e.g. USA, Switzerland, etc.) and European Union headquarters are spread around member countries (as are headquarters of many regions), we thought our offer to host this organization to be generous. Perhaps we were wrong. Still, our offer remains in case your decision is changed. A building in Kreidberg is still vacant for the organization's use.

As for further ideas, we believe that our suggestions cover your main fields of operation, and their further development can be carried out by you - they would take to much resources from us as non-members to develop. We look forward to see how you implement them in your organization. Shall we they still be unsatisfactory, we will try to help in the future or supply our own flight safety standards and ratings.

Best wishes from Aeland,
Alexandria Sent, head of AAA.

OOC: Don't take it personally, this is my constructive criticism but merely Aeland's way to try and influence an industry that it finds important.

Dear Mr Sent,
After a review of your application we have decided to accept your generous offer AFTER consulting the rest of the board. We hope you understand and are patient. Reviews and inspections are in place to re-do the application form. As a delegate of Absolute Power I can only make so many decisions but I hope it will be accepted. Of course, our headquarters would be non-existent, we would have offices in different countries as to avoid arguments between nations; this was the reason for the airbase in the first place.
