Aeroporto de Vilamoura, 23 de Agosto

The Vilamoura Airport serves the City State of Vilamoura, in Southern Europe and it's located in the Portugal Region. Due to runway limitations (2781 metres) some aircraft are not allowed to land, those are the A380 and the A340 or RMA equivalent.

Dear Mr. Epia,

We gladly accept your application as we are looking for hub airlines to respond to the ever expanding air travel market since the opening of the airfield. As a City State, Vilamoura was limited to road/maritime borders. Thank you. Ricardo Alvarez

No, sadly they can't. please see http://www.airliners.net/. Though it's a plane partly made with composite materials, when loaded and with the
humidity, 10.000ft might not be enough and the runway has less than that.
However you can land and take-off with minimum fuel weight and refuel in an European Hub.

Your route application has been accepted, your flights are very welcome for they connect with bigger Hubs avoiding passanger to have to depart from a border country.Thank you for your business.

Though we would like to have you, a IL-96-400 needs 2699.9 metres to take-off fully loaded and our runway is 2750 metres long making it impossible for a safe take-off also due to humidity. If you plan to land and take-off with fuel enough for another stop-over in Europe before heading South, we will be happy to have you. Kind Regards

Thank you for your application, it on hold. You are cleared to land with the 787 which only needs 1519 metres minimum to take off and our runway is 1750 metres long. However you won't be able to take-off fully loaded safely. You may choose to connect with another destination in Europe and re-fuel. If you're located in Europe we would rather prefer if you could use a smaller aircraft for operational reasons. Kind Regards
