We can custom produce these warships with a nuclear reactor, an increased displacement of some 2,000 tons or so, and a reduced top speed of 2-3 knots for an extra £5 billion. If these are limitations on your acquisition brief, you may now understand why we originally chose to produce the Valiant with a conventional engine.Poorisolation wrote:On behalf of the Commonwealth Navy is it possible to get the Valiant Class design in nuclear powered?
We have been searching for a battleship to serve as a prestige flagship for while carriers are more efficient and destroyers more functional battleships have always had more charisma.
We are trying to move at least among our major units to an all nuclear (powered) force. We do possess the plans for a class of nuclear powered carriers (subject to litigation by Newport News Shipbuilding Company which we refute strongly.) and a class of nuclear powered 20,000 tonne displacement destroyers. However our shipbuilders have no experience in battleship construction and we also lack the dedicated ordnance and armour manufacturing capacity to support such a project and since our current plans only call for one ship of this rate it seems silly to try and develop such.
We understand that such a redesign may be prove costly but are willing to consider a final unit cost in the region of $40 billion payable either in USD or a basket of currencies of your choosing. We are also willing to be flexible on the project cost within reason. We await your reply with interest

If DPRs aren't listed they're probably not for sale. CNC will soon cease the practice of selling domestic production licences, anyway. You may buy Mogami IIs if you wish though.United States of PA wrote:To-Consolidated Naval Construction Group

Hello again, after recent decision making, we have decided to return to your fine company to purchase yet more vessels to equip our navy with.
Production License to the Unicorn Class Aircraft Carrier: $?
Production License to the Type 338 Submarine Tender: $?
We would also like to enquire as to if we are permitted to purchase a limited number of your Mogami Flight II Class Cruisers, so as to escort our Lighter Units and convoys, and free up the larger Kalmar Class Cruiser in service for Carrier Escort Duty. If we are so allowed, we will figure a number out as soon as we can, and will inform you of the needed number of cruisers immediately.

Licana on the M-21A2 MBT: "Well, it is one of the most badass tanks on NS."
Vortiaganica: Lamoni I understand fully, of course. The two (Lamoni & Lyras) are more inseparable than the Clinton family and politics.
Triplebaconation: Lamoni commands a quiet respect that carries its own authority. He is the Mandela of NS.
