To: Mr. John Henri; Minister of Business, Innovation and Skills - His Majesties Kingdom of Belfras
From: Jeffrey Stillen; Director - Forza Dealership Team

We would like to thank you for applying to add the Kingdom of Belfras to our list of vehicle importers and to commence sales of Forza in your nation. We are pleased to be given the chance to commence business in your nation and look forward to strong sales of our products within your borders. Forza will only hire people within Valcluse, keeping your economy strong and will only import skilled technicians & financial analysists in an advisory and training purpose.

We will commence business in your nation by first opening twenty franchise dealerships within the Kingdom of Belfras immediately, and then perhaps looking to add to that number in the coming years. Based on the market of Belfras, we expect this number to grow gradually over the next decade or so as Forza expands into newer population centres.

Forza agrees to abide by the set tax rates that are applicable to us and any emissions restrictions within your nation, however we feel that neither will pose a problem to our business within the Kingdom of Belfras. We are confident that our cars' safety standards are compliant with any regulations within your nation, and if not, adjustments can easily be made.

All Forza engines currently sold are in compliance with Euro V laws or higher with those models not in compliance soon to be updated with new technology to meet these requirements, this shouldn't pose an issue to sales.

We look forward to commencing sales and the start of a hopefully long and prosperous relationship between Forza and the Kingdom of Belfras.

Kind Regards

Jeffrey Stillen

From: Goran Nikovic, Products Department, Forza Astholm

Dear Mr. Stillen,
regarding the pick-up project mentioned here, we have now got a third partner who would like to share the platform - XidaoSubaru.

However, my opinion on the 1.8 twincharger engine is that it should be optional in the line-up, and not offered globally (in nations e.g. the U.S.A. Amerique and Canada Hulme etc. where engines below 2.0 are considered too small for a large car!).

Celsan's Product Development Manager, Jonathan Whitehead, has said he would like to discuss this with you soon. *

Our team would like to hear from you soon.

* (OOC: We can create a new RP for this, basically the plotline is either you visit Celsan, or Celsan visits Forza, a business meeting basically.)

Draft of truck (WIP)

Corio truck

The Corio truck is powered by Forza's K-Series of diesel engines, a line of straight six engines of various displacement yet sharing the same core technology. The K-Series of engines were designed specifically for the Corio Class of truck and were designed to meet the market demands of United Coronado and the remaining region of Maredoratica which is tipped to be the largest market for the Corio Class. As a result, the K-Series were designed to propel the Corio trucks to highway speeds, comply with the strictest emissions laws regarding NOx emissions and offer impeccable reliability.

The K-Series feature Common rail direct fuel injection featuring very high pressure fuel rail feeding individual solenoid valves in contrast to a typical system where a low-pressure fuel pump feeds unit injectors. Common rail engines do not have to be heated up before use, produce lower engine noise and supresses the signature diesel rattle, and also produces less CO2 and NOx than other diesel engines.

Using high-precision piezo-injectors, fuel is injected rapidly and precisely at pressures of up to 2000 bar into the cylinder. The Variable Geometry Turbocharger that accompanies the engine increases the amount of air that is able to enter the engine in order to provide the right amount of air to with the fuel while the intercooler cools and subsequently increases the density of the air, thereby increasing the amount of fuel which can be injected and combusted. Newly-developed ceramic fast glowplugs improve the 'cold running' behaviour, while two Lanchester balancer shafts enhance smoothness of operation, creating a more comfortable environment for the driver and a noticeably more refined ride experience.

The K-Series uses a Variable Geometry Turbocharger manufactured by Borg Warner. Variable Geometry Turbochargers are able to alter their effective aspect ratio to best suit the conditions that are being experienced at the present time. If the aspect ratio of a turbocharger is too large, the turbocharger will not be able to provide sufficient boost at low engine speeds. Conversely if it is too low, the turbocharger will create dangerously high exhaust manifold pressures, large pumping losses and ultimately a loss of power. VGT's overcome this by altering the geometry of the turbine housing as the engine accelerates so that the turbocharger's aspect ratio can be maintained at its optimum. The advantages of VGT's are near non-existant turbo-lag, high engine speed efficiency and a low boost threshold. VGT's are well suited to diesel engines due to the typically lower exhaust temperatures produced.

The engine block itself is made from aluminium alloy, comprised of 11% silicon, 4% manganese and 0.5% magnesium. This Al-Alloy has a high thermal conductivity and hence is able to dissipate heat quicker than cast iron. Also, it leads more thermal efficiency, cooler running engines and are lighter thereby improving the overall vehicle’s operative characteristics.

BlueLine is Forza's brand of AdBlue diesel technology available on the K-Series of engine. BlueLine engines, in a nutshell, use their fuel more efficiently to reduce fuel consumption and emissions but create more power and torque than non-AdBlue counterparts. BlueLine engines have increased boost pressure into the engine and a slightly higher compression ratio to improve the combustion, but when exhaust gas leaves the engine, AdBlue reacts with the dangerous NOx particles that have been caught in the SCR catalytic converter to break down NOx into nitrogen and water vapour. The result in an engine in compliance with Euro 5/6 level of emission standard. AdBlue is widely available in most markets.

The K780 produces 225kw and 1100nm
The K880 produces 250kw and 1400nm
The K1020 produces 298kw and 1750nm.
The K1140 produces 360kw and 2100nm
The K1480 produces 420kw and 2500nm.
The V8TTD produces 454kw and 2850nm. (civillian market only)

Across all engines, Forza offers it's EMS or Engine Management System which ties into to the Command function. EMS monitors, controls and supervises the engine, transmission and driven axles and will alert the driver if any faults or critical incidents are about to occur by monitoring such things as fuel injection, load weight and CoG, traction control and the engine brake. This system also allows the driver to adjust the settings of their truck to select the best mix between performance and economy or to select a setting which best allows for the situation they are currently experiencing. EMS is only available on Command equipped trucks.

The Corio offers manual and automatic transmissions that are available with varying amounts of ratios to best suit the buyer's requirements. Gearboxes ranging from five to eight ratios with high/low range capability are available for manual transmissions, while gearboxes from twelve to sixteen speed are available for automatic gearboxes.

The automatic transmission in the Corio is a specialized double clutch gearbox made for the truck especially. In double clutch transmissions, the two clutches are arranged concentrically with the larger outer clutch driving the odd numbered gears (1,3,5,7,9,11,13) whilst the smaller inner clutch drives the even numbered gears (2,4,6,8,10,12,14).

Gears can be changed or selected without interrupting torque distribution to the driveshaft, by connecting the engine's torque to one clutch at the same time as it is being disconnected from the other clutch. Since alternate gear ratios can pre-select an odd gear on one gear shaft whilst the vehicle is being driven in an even gear, this means the DCT can change gears much faster than any single clutch transmission and much more smoothly, hence minimising the time that the engine is disengaged from the wheels and allowing a smoother, less interrupted and more linear application of torque.

The Corio offers two levels of suspension, the standard suspension which is standard fitted to all rear-wheel drive models and the 'Allroad' suspension which is standard on all All-wheel-drive models and offered optional on the rest of the range. The standard suspension comprises of front parabolic leaf springs with air suspension on the rear axles. Allroad suspension uses air springs on both the front and rear axles as well as the optional damper package.

The air suspension of the Allroad Corio are essentially a system where pressurized air is stored in a leak-proof bag and used as a spring. Air is taken from outside the car, passed through a compressor and then pumped into the cylinder. Air springs are able to vary their spring rate, stiffness and ride height, which means they are able to be compliant with varying types of roads without upsetting the quality of the ride. It also enables the Corio to greatly improve it's offroad performance with an inflated ride height without detracting from it's on-road capabilities.

Front and rear suspension systems are arranged into MacPherson struts and Chapman struts respectively. The MacPherson/Chapman system is generally favoured for it's simplicity although both benefit from a monocoque construction while the Corio is of a 'body on frame' design. To allow for this, the frame of the Corio is designed to give the struts of the system a stable and strong linkage to the frame, as well as enough vertical space to mount the spring.

The shock absorbers for the Allroad system are magnetorheological dampers, a damper filled with a type of smart fluid in a carrier fluid. The road compliance characteristics of the dampers are constantly altered by a controlling electromagnet which responds to information sent by an onboard processing unit for the suspenion. Increasing the current flow into the damper raises the rebound rates, while a decrease softens the effect of the dampers for a softer ride. Information from suspensions arms of the Corio, steering, and acceleration sensors are used to calculate the optimized calibration for the dampers. Very fast reaction times of the total system allows the system to respond with immediate effect when it crosses a bump or hole in the road.

Terrain Command is a seperate feature offered alongside Command on Allroad trucks. TC comes with several pre-programmed settings for off-road driving including sand, snow, mud ruts and boulder crawls to adapt the traction control, stability control, braking, ride height etc. to the conditions of the road.

Attaining highway speeds along roads, both tarmac and gravel, is one thing, knowing that you are going to stop in time in case of emergency is a whole seperate issue. The brakes of the Corio are ventillated discs with six piston calipers, 450mm discs at the front and 430mm discs on the rear axles. These brakes are forcibly air dried to prevent them from becoming water logged for extended periods of time, a necessity for an off-road vehicle. These brakes are electronically assisted with ABS, which prevents the brakes from locking, and EBD, which distributes the braking force among the axles to where it is most effective.

Steering of the Corio utilizes a rack and pinion system with electronic assist and a 'Variable Steer' optional function on Command fitted trucks. The weight of the steering is adjusted automatically to be heavy at high speeds while being light at low speeds to ensure the Corio is easy to manuever and control at all speeds.

Versatility, long-life and strength are major factors that Forza engineers considered when designing the chassis for the Corio Class. The frame of the Corio is a hydroformed body-on-frame design made from S600MC steel, a blend of steel of a suitibly high strength and well coated to protect it from corrosion. The hydroformed body allows the Corio to shed the weight associated with a welded frame and uses lengths of metal that are more rigid and stronger than welded lengths, it also allows the frame to use shapes that are too hard to accomplish with more traditional methods. Cross members and side rails of the frame are interconnected with riveted gussat plates. The frame of the Corio allows for a number of different designs for the cab unit and, perhaps more crucially, a multitude of different designs for the rear of the chassis.

Military Corio's feature the V-Plate armour crafted from Aermet 100 steel which lies underneath the chassis and drivetrain. This plate, with an angle of 90 degrees between each panel, is designed to divert a possible blast from a landmine or IED sideways, away from the truck which protects the truck's drivetrain to an extent and the occupants of the truck. Military grade trucks also feature a seperate plate of Aermet 100 armour underneath the floor of the chassis, above the cabin suspension, to further increase the chance of occupant survival.

The Corio also offers a fording ability near unmatched by other military and civillian trucks in it's class, due to the high mounted air inlet, the optional roof mounted snorkal and the high mounted exhaust stacks behind the cabin. When one considers the suspension system is able to inflate ride height at slow speeds by up to 40cm, the Corio can traverse through even chest-height water without sustaining water damage in the process.

Interior Design

Recognising that for many people that the Corio will be their workplace, Forza designers strove to create an environment which would be comfortable and ergonomic to keep driver's at their peak. Each cab is designed to create a comfortable environment whether the driver is driving or resting. The Corio also offers an extensive list of Passive safety features, making it one of the safest trucks on the road.

The base cab offered on the Corio range is the S-Cab, designed for applications which require maximum tray length for payload. The S-Cab features either two seats or one three-seater bench and is best suited to short-range duties.

One step up from the S-Cab is the E-Cab, E standing for Extended. The Extended Cab option provides a storage space behind the driver and passenger seat for storage of other ammenities, or for an extra two seats which can accommodate two adults on short-range journeys. A small fold-down bed can also be fitted.

Beyond these two entry level cabs sits the luxury cabs, with acres of room inside and piles of standard equipment for driver and passenger comfort. The first tier of the luxury cabs is the Supercab, designed for applications where large amounts of interior space is required such as long distance haulage. The optional upper luxury bed also featuring a slatted frame with elastic support at pressure points and adjustable headboard and can be infinitely adjusted to compensate for an uneven floor. The cab offers large shelves and numerous stowage compartments including two illuminated stowage compartments accessible from both inside and outside the vehicle. Along with this is a wash basin and shaving mirror.

The second tier of the luxury cab is the Ultracab, one of the largest commerically available cabs on the market today. Although the Ultracab offers only slightly mroe room than the Supercab, the standard features list for the Ultracab comprises of all the luxuries that the driver could ever want or need. Premium sound system, LSN-B2 satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control and a multitude of other features are just some of the luxuries which the Ultracab provides.

The Corio is designed to cater for almost every corner of the medium-heavy truck market and as such the interior set up and options in the trucks differ vastly from one another. Trim levels range from cab offering only essentials with the lowest bottom lines, right up to the most luxurious and complete interior designs available.

Further active safety featues are available. One is LastChance braking system: using the radar employed by the cruise control, if the truck detects a stationary or slow moving object infront of the truck, an alarm will sound and the steering wheel will vibrate to alert the driver to this hazard. Should the driver not act in time, the truck will brake with maximum force to minimize the impact of the collision. Another is Fatigue Warning. The truck will monitor the grip on the steering wheel and the eye movements of a driver, if the driver is detected to be fatigued, the truck will suggest the driver pulls over for a stop by lighting up a fatigue alert on the dashboard screen. Blind spot monitiors are also available to alert the driver to any cars likely to be hit should the driver choose to change lanes; cars are represented by red lines on either side of the dashboard screen. Lane Departure warnings alert the driver when the truck begins to stray outside of the lane, and lastly, a Heads-Up-Display projects speed, gear and RPM's onto the windshield so the driver doesn't have to take his eyes off the road to check his speed.

Military Version Interior

The Extended Cab option provides a storage space behind the driver and passenger seat for storage of other ammenities, or for an extra two seats which can accommodate two adults on short-range journeys or a bench seat to accommodate four. A small fold-down bed which doubles as a bench seat is also an option. The E-Cab also allows for the storage of weapons larger than service rifles or pistols in the cabin of the Corio, with secure weapons lockers or gun racks able to be fitted.

Cabs are suspended by eight seperate compressed air bags, essentially the same system which makes up the primary suspension system on the axles of the Corio. This gives the occupants of the cabin a smooth and jolt free ride, and greatly reduces the chance of damage to the cabin when the truck is travelling on sub-standard roads. The cab itself and all electronic systems have been engineered to be completely waterproof, preventing water damage.

Military cabins of the Corio are vastly different from their commercial counterparts. The removal of features such as climate control, the audio system and the satellite navigation unit leave the Corio with several large cavities which can be utilised as storage spaces or can be used to fit military hardware such as radios. An air conditioning/heater and an AM/FM radio are standard fitted to the truck and extra items available on commercial trucks are offered as options. Allroad trucks feature a simplified switch-based command unit for control over the suspension. The cabins are upholsted in what is known in-house as 'feather' or fake leather. This cheap material was selected for being easy to clean, although it's slippery qualities may cause buyers to consider cloth trim or Forza's more upmarket leather options.

Military Corio's with an E-Cab can be optioned with a roof mounted machine gun port which can be manually fired by ascending through a hatch in the roof of the cabin. The port is intended to support light machine guns or squad weapons, unfortunately not heavy weaponry.

For cabin protection, the Corio offers two different armour packages of various different levels of protection to best suit the buyer. The first package of the two is centered around cabin protection: Glass is replaced with 4 inch plexiglass to resist bullets. Doors and cabin body panels are fitted with composite kevlar inserts, essentially two layers of kevlar with a strip of rubber between them. The second package is aimed mainly at protecting the truck against mines. Extra plates of Aermet 100 are laid beneath the axles and a secondary plate of Aermet added above the V-plate between the engine.

Cargo Capacity

The Corio was designed to be a multirole truck, essentially a general purpose vehicle that could fulfill several different roles using the one chassis. The chassis of the Corio allows for the quick application and removal of what are known as cargo modules, for example; flat trays, open box bed, closed canopy bed or a tank.

When the Corio is fitted with the optionally fitted winch, it can hoist the modules onto the chassis while a team of as little as two mechanics can have the modules secured within ten minutes. When the module is to be removed, the mechanics simply unfasten the empty module and use the winch to hoist it off the truck and back to it's original position. This gives the Corio a serious advantage over it's competitors in terms of flexibility and versatility. Extra modules are available from Forza at a cost. Obviously, modules must be empty before they are added or removed.

Rigid in an air-sprung 8x4 chassis with the K1480 engine, the Corio can haul a Gross Vehicle Mass of 38,000kg while pulling a 40,000kg trailer. A perfect tesitment to the huge hauling capacity that the Corio offers. Heavy-duty Corio prime movers can tow an eighty tonne trailer or road-train, making transport of heavy main battle tanks by road transport a possibility.

Forza Variable Displacement Technology

Variable displacement is an automobile engine technology that allows the displacement of the engine to change by deactivating cylinders for improved fuel economy. This new technology will see employment in the larger multi-cylinder engines that power the Forza range, closing the gap for fuel economy between them and their smaller displacement rivals from other car manufacturers across the globe.

How does it work?

Cylinder deactivation is used to reduce the fuel consumption and emissions of an internal combustion engine during light load operation. In typical light load driving the driver uses only around a quarter to a third of an engine’s maximum power. In these conditions, the throttle valve is nearly closed and the engine needs to work hard to draw air for combustion. This causes an inefficiency known as pumping loss. Some large capacity engines need to be throttled so much at light load that the cylinder pressure at the zenith of the cylinder is approximately half that of a small engine half the size. Low cylinder pressure means low fuel efficiency and fuel consumption begins to sky rocket.

The use of cylinder deactivation at light load means there are fewer cylinders drawing air from the intake manifold which works to increase its fluid (air) pressure. Operation without variable displacement is wasteful because fuel is continuously pumped into each cylinder and combusted even though maximum performance is not required. By shutting down half of an engine's cylinders the amount of fuel being consumed is much less. Between reducing the pumping losses which increases pressure in each operating cylinder and decreasing the amount of fuel being pumped into the cylinders. Fuel consumption for large capacity Forza engines can be reduced by 20 to 35 percent in highway conditions.

Cylinder deactivation is done by keeping the intake and exhaust valves closed for a particular cylinder once the cylinder is filled with fuel and oxygen. By keeping the intake and exhaust valves closed, it creates a spring effect in the combustion chamber – the trapped gases are compressed during the piston’s upstroke and push down on the piston during its downstroke. The compression and decompression of the trapped exhaust gases have an equalising effect; overall, there is virtually no extra load on the engine so the engine does not need to work harder.

In this latest generation of cylinder deactivation systems, the engine management system is also used to cut fuel delivery to the disabled cylinders using Forza's Variable ValveTechnology (VVT). The transition between normal engine operation and cylinder deactivation is also smoothed using changes in ignition timing, cam timing and throttle position thanks to electronic throttle control and VVT.

So what cars can I expect to find it on?

For Forza Automotive, cylinder deactivation is applied to relatively large displacement engines that are particularly inefficient at light load.

  • 3.0L SA Litre V6 (E6, C6)
  • 3.5L SB Litre V6 (H6, X6)
  • 5.0L WD 'Windsor' Litre V8 (H8, M8, X8)
  • 5.8L WDS 'Super Windsor' Litre V8 (H8, M8, G8)
  • 4.0L DL Litre L6 Diesel (G6D)
  • 4.5L DM Litre V8 Diesel (G8D)
  • 5.5L DR 'Taurus' Litre V12 Diesel (G12D, M12D)
  • 4.8L IR 'Italia' Litre V8 (S8, Z8)
  • 4.8L IT 'Super Italia' Litre V8 (S8-R, Z8-R)
  • 6.5L VR 'Royal' Litre V12 (M12)
  • 6.5L VT 'Super Royal' Litre V12 (M12R)

Will there be any price increase?

No, of course not. This technology involves reprogramming the Engine Control Unit and updating the existing electronic throttle and variable valve timing technology on each car, therefore there is no need to increase the price.

Buyers of existing models can have the new Variable Displacement Technology installed on their car for a cost. Visit your local dealer for more information.

Good morning

We are in the process of finishing renovations to our police force nation-wide and after browsing your catalog we wish to use the police vehicles you have available. Therefore we wish to purchase x310 Interceptors for specialised work on our motorways as well as a rather larger over of 1,300 Patrol sedans and x832 patrol estates for K9 duties or other purposes. We'd also like if we were able to call apoun Forza-certified engineers should any of the vehicles go faulty.

We've arranged an official purchase order and would very much like it if one Interceptor be available at the Broxhead International Race Circuit before Monday in time for the automobile show that occurs before the main NSCS race.

Sincerely

Sir Io Dassor
Chief of Police
The National Police Force of Belfras

Purchase Order
Our ref: Police-Forza-001

HPS Interceptor R Sedan: $110,000 x310 = 34.1 million
HPS Patrol R Sedan: $80,000 x1,300 = 104 million
HPS Patrol R Estate: $85,000 x832 = 70.72 million

Payment of full amount ($208.82 million) to be made in full apoun delivery.

OOC: Unfortunately I've been a bit too busy to keep this storefront as up to date as what I'd like, therefore anyone who has posted an order prior to August 24th can consider it and all other requests approved. I will endeavour to have a proper, formal IC response for each unanswered request completed within the next 24 hours. I do apologize for any inconvenience and the lack of organization on my part.

We would like to thank you for applying to add Inkarzikan to our list of vehicle importers and to commence sales of Forza in your nation. We are pleased to be given the chance to commence business in your nation and look forward to strong sales of our products within your borders. Forza will only hire people within Inkarzikan, keeping your economy strong and will only import skilled technicians & financial analysists in an advisory and training purpose.

We will commence business in your nation by first opening twenty franchise dealerships within Inkarzikan immediately, and then perhaps looking to add to that number in the coming years. Based on the market of Inkarzikan, we expect this number to grow gradually over the next decade or so as Forza expands into newer population centres.

Forza agrees to abide by the set tax rates that are applicable to us and any emissions restrictions within your nation, however we feel that neither will pose a problem to our business within the Inkarzikan. We are confident that our cars' safety standards are compliant with any regulations within your nation, and if not, adjustments can easily be made.

We look forward to commencing sales and the start of a hopefully long and prosperous relationship between Forza and the Inkarzikan.

Kind Regards

Salutations,

After a lengthy selection process, your company has been chosen to become the premier automotive manufacturer and parts supplier for the Democratic Republic of Lunar Sovereignty. We have reviewed your offerings and have found them to the liking of both the civil and military appropriations boards, and we are prepared to make accommodations to your corporate needs, within reason of course.

For our initial purchase for the state police force, we require 80 units of your H-series, 35 HPS Patrol D, 15 Patrol R, 15 Interceptor D and 15 Interceptor R, all fully kitted and estate body styles. We also require 20 units of your FMV Type 3 for SWAT work, though if you could please leave the standard weapon systems unmounted, we shall mount our own.

For government use, we require 500 of your B-series, B4 base model in dark blue livery, 25 G8-HardCar models in Jet Black, 150 C5D, all in the standard government livery of dark blue and silver, and 3 M5 LWB Stahouder models, also in government livery.

Demand in the civilian market is projected to consist of mostly lower cost models for the next few years, though there has been a recent "speed demon" craze along our national highway system. We humbly ask that all Z, R, S, and X models imported into our nation come equipped with full safety systems as standards.

Should you find any of these conditions and requests not to your liking, please contact our Office of Commercial Development and Expansion so that further negotiations may begin.

Forza will only hire people within The Unified Empire of Itailia, keeping your economy strong and will only import skilled technicians & financial analysists in an advisory and training purpose.

We will commence business in your nation by first opening twenty franchise dealerships within The Unified Empire of Itailia immediately, and then perhaps looking to add to that number in the coming years. Based on the market of The Unified Empire of Itailia, we expect this number to grow gradually over the next decade or so as Forza expands into newer population centres.

Forza agrees to abide by the set tax rates that are applicable to us and any emissions restrictions within your nation, however we feel that neither will pose a problem to our business within The Unified Empire of Itailia. We are confident that our cars' safety standards are compliant with any regulations within your nation, and if not, adjustments can easily be made.

We look forward to commencing sales and the start of a hopefully long and prosperous relationship between Forza and The Unified Empire of Itailia.

Kind Regards

With expansion into Inkarzikan, Alte Koniggratz, Lunar Sovereignty, New Hayesalia and Itailian Mafias, Forza has finally reached it's 100 export market milestone after internationally exporting cars since 1975.
