Title: Mapantalë Producer: Fréaláf Meduselde Director: Meneldur nos-Ainarauta Actors: Tasarië nos-Oilossë, Melimian Malyasyr, Beren Barahirondo, Smoriledd Angijak, Silmariën nos-Mornanossë, Nelyafinwë nos-Calaosto Genre: Thriller, Drama, Neo Noir, Legal drama Content Rating: Ratings comparable to the R and NC-17 ratings used by the Motion Pictures Association of America rating system has been given by the many of the rating institutes in Aman. Due to the controversy the film caused in its homeland there has however been diverging opinions. Plot Summary: Mapantalë (a word which carries the double meaning of "rape" and "mistreatment") tells the story of a young upper class woman (Oiolossë) who has allegedly been raped by one of her uncle's (Barahirondo) employees (Angijak), a young man from a lower class environment. The film takes place in a court room in Charn where the case is being tried and the incident is being seen in flashback through the perspective of four people, the alleged victim, the uncle/employer, the alleged perpetrator and the militia detective investigating the case (Malyasyr).
Initially the audience is lead to believe that Angijak's character is guilty, but as the story progresses several inconsistencies in the case against him is revealed and it begins to look increasingly like a miscarriage of justice is under way, facilitated by class prejudice and possibly bribery on account of the father of the alleged victim (Calaosto). The film ends with the judge (Mornanossë) preparing to announce her verdict.

To Fréaláf Meduselde
First, Paladin Cinema's would like to thank you for your application to have "Mapantalë" shown at our cinemas. We have to be honest and be clear that your film has controversial material that will be considered shocking in a number of the countries where it is put on; the subject matter is not merely part of a greater story or sensationalistic but is grimly realistic. Upon careful consultation with the board and advisers, however, we feel it is an important film to show and that art must be more than merely charming or thrilling; it must on occasion be sobering and bring awareness to important issues.
Therefore, ith great pleasure and admiration, we have considered your application, and weighing the pros and cons and considering the strong business possibilities in this venture, and we have to come to the conclusion that acceptance of your offer is logical and would benefit both parties involved.
Therefore, Paladin Cinema's would like to notify you that your offer has been accepted, with the proviso that alternate titles may be chosen on a case by case basis which nevertheless maintain the spirit of the film's title in your language.
Finally, we would like to say that we look forward to further business transactions with your company in the future and hope this is the beginning of a prosperous business relationship.

Paladin Cinema's would like to thank you for your application to have "Moonshiners" shown at our cinemas. We have some concerns about the fact that: 1. Your film is only available in German. This would give it limited releases in our theaters. We would like to suggest that you at least offer multiple subtitles, particularly in languages such as English. 2. Some of our Board members think this film has mature themes and that you may wish to reconsider the rating; as one of our Board members suggested--in for a penny, in for a pound. in other words: more skin, more drunken antics.
We look forward to your reply.

To : John Craft, Paladin Cinemas Subject : Investment Proposal Priority : High Dear Sir,
The Ministry of Culture and Heritage have received your correspondence, and they are pleased to have brought these negotiations to a successful conclusion. On an unrelated matter, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Mizuyuki have evaluated your company, and we are proposing that the Mizuyuki Government invest a considerable amount in your company.
We have every confidence that your company will continue to be a thriving success in every country you are operating in, and we see Paladin Cinemas as a good opportunity for investment. As such, we are proposing that we invest a minimum of 250 million Mizuyuki Yen (6.9151 Mizuyuki Yen = $1) in Paladin Cinemas. This is an urgent matter, and I require your prompt reply. In addition, if you do accept this offer, I would require a list of shareholders of Paladin Cinemas as well as a list of any companies that Paladin Cinemas have affiliations or partnerships with. You will appreciate that I need this information to safeguard the investments of the Mizuyuki Government.
In addition, if business continues to grow and we are able to obtain a satisfactory return on our original investment, the Mizuyuki Government has authorised me to make an offer for a larger stake in your company. Thus, if our venture is a success, I will be considering making a large offer for your company's shares.
If you have any questions or require any information, you can reach me at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry or send your correspondence to the Mizuyuki National Diet, addressed to Prime Minister Shiraishi Mikoto.
Thank you.

To the Right Honourable Mizuno Yuuki, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry
On behalf of Paladin Cinemas we would would like to thank you for your application for investment. I do not know if you are aware, but controlling shares are jointly held by the Crown, Mr. M. Mallarhyde and by the National Government. Therefore I had requested a meeting of the Board to discuss your proposal.
At present, corporate affiliations include the following: 1. Paladin Cinemas is a subsidiary of Mike's Monkey House Inc. 2. Pixie Chocolates 3. Viva Cafe 4. Cuppa Coffee
For the time being, the investment amount you have requested is considered too high, and the Board of Paladin Cinemas would like to suggest that we accept an investment of half that amount, which is considered more than reasonable for the time being. We look greatly forward to your reply.
