Dear Representative of New Ecopia,

It is with a great sense of pride that I return to you to tell you of your bid's acceptation. Although some of my fellow director's despaired that this move was perhaps too much of a leap, I won them round, and so we are happy to open your requested 4000 cinemas.

ACCEPTED

This will be a major boost for the economy of New Ecopia, bringing plenty of jobs alongside the best in International Film.

We must also inform you that it is with great pride that we also accept your movie application. This film brings a whole new light to the disaster / science fiction genre, and we believe that audiences will enjoy it, especially those in the country where the film was made.

Yours sincerely,

Mantis Adams
CEO of Alhambra Cinemas

Dear Representative of Mass Effect,

Sadly, we must reject your film on the basis that there is firstly A) No plot given or B) the Film's cover of all three games would simply be far too long for a typical cinema viewing. Also, the hopes of your company to recoup its budget via cinema takings would cause too much stress on our viewing schedule.

REJECTED

I must also inform you that I am currently at the AstyrEcon conference, and so will be unavailable for contact until the 13th of August.

Yours sincerely,

To: Mantis Adams, CEO of Alhambra Cinemas
Subject: Movie screening

Mr. Adams,

After the unexpected success of Aftermath: Reluctant Endurance, the National Film Classification Council returns to Alhambra Cinemas seeking to once again put forward a Kingtonian movie as a candidate for international screening in your cinemas. Once again directed by Gerard Mahone, this new film titled Home is a political and military science fiction movie that poses the hypothetical question of another solar system prior to our own. Having been shown in Kington Langley for the past month and receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews, we are confident that this film has the potential to be internationally successful.

Attached below is a completed application, we hope it has been filled out correctly. Understanding that there is currently a large number of films offered by your cinema as well as a prevalence of sci-fi movies currently showing in the international market, do not feel hesitant to reject our application should it fall short of your current requirements for screening.

We look forward to hearing from you,

Sir Nigel Drawson
Chairman of the National Film Classification Council

Dear Sir Nigel Drawson,

After having received great success with your last film, it was more than a welcome surprise to receive your next offering. And I must admit, it certainly delivered. Not only is the plot and acting simply and utterly outstanding, but the symbols and motives behind the film are also deeply thought-creating.

The following excerpt is from DISC Magazine, Nouvel Ecosse's top film magazine:

DISC MAGAZINE

Praying Mantis-An Interview with Mantis Adams

Mantis Adams is CEO and Owner of Alhambra Cinemas, Nouvel Ecosse's largest and most successful cinema chain, and many claim Company as well. Operating in 36 countries around the World, Alhambra Cinemas is globally renowned for not only bringing the best in Global Film to countries around the World, but also excellence in customer satisfaction. It is one of few worthy enough and developed enough to be awarded a four-star rating by internationally competent Ratings Company GETRax, and is on the front edge of technology.
Cordo Hewitt is a media journalist with seventeen years experience, and has worked for numerous film related publications.

CH: This past year has seen Alhambra Cinemas develop from a small chain of only 100 or so Cinemas to a globally recognised brand with over 8000 establishments. What was this transformation down to?

MA: A f*ck-tonne of effort, I tell you that. I owe it to the employees here in Edinburgh, in fact all over the World, for the effort they have put in to get us up and running. We have networks of critics examining every release we are sent, we have scout teams looking at potential locations and reviewing all the Government invites we receive, we have publicists. We owe it to every person right down to the popcorn shoveler to get us where we are today.

What has been your favourite release of the year thus far?

Naturally I'll always have a soft spot for films made in this country - its a patriotic act. My kids are massive fans of Wally, mainly because we have a 'ranch' up at Winterfield where the kids like to watch the walri. Aside from that, I did enjoy "You Only Kill Twice", which I thought was a terrific action movie, and I thought "Pills" was one of the best things to ever come out of Woodstead.

There has been talk of Alhambra Cinemas possibly setting up an Awards Ceremony? Can you elaborate?

I'm afraid talk is all that is at the moment. We've talked it over a few times, thought about it, but the idea has really stagnated. We first brought it up at the board way back in April, and there was some excitement. But there hasn't been enough interest from outside the board room for us to put it on.

In a time when everything can be downloaded and home cinema systems are ever-growing popular, is there a future for Cinema?

Of course there is, and you would be a madman to suggest there isn't. Through our partnership with Wide Format Systems and H&S Audio, we are at the cutting edge of Cinema, and there is just no experience available like it.

Thankyou.

Dear mister Adams,

on behalf of the Naval Kingdom of Some Village, we would like to apply a movie for future screening in your theaters. Aided by the Audiovisual Funding For Nations With A Limited Citizenship, the so-called AuFFoNWALiC, a movie has been produced. The audience targeted is the Astyrian public, especially with an eye on the Neu Engollese public. Of course, said film could be sent out to other nations with an audience that might show interest in the subject of the movie.

"Breakdown", as the film is named, is the vivacious tale of the Some Village Wanderers. As you notice, it is based upon facts which happened in real life, as it follows their story starting as a practical joke whilst wandering in the Panoli docks on to the champion of the AVRU championship, the national rugby league of Neu Engollon. Although I won't outline the complete plot -so the test dvd enclosed still provides some suspense-, I can tell you that it will talk about the first steps, the learning process and the first international experiences. But also about the harsh moments, when play-offs seemed a distance story up until the big glory ensued.

But this is much more than a movie about rugby. More than about the gentlemen's game, it talks about the growing process of the different players. All hailing from an ark, they placed pride upon their cohesion. But it wasn't until it was them against the outer world, that they discovered the true meaning of that word. The movie more specifically follows four of the players, each depicting the main theme of the movie -what makes a group MY group, why do I stick together with others?-. Ananias, the star winger, needed to deal with fandom and idolatry. Ozihel, a youngster, comes up to the choice between traditions and the modern world. Nicodemus wants to contribute to his nation, but needs a spiritual search to find how he can be of best service. And Prochoros, to end with, struggles between the choice to be a leader or a member.

With our limited budget of £1,900,000 -mostly sponsored by Nicholls Inc., based in the Free Republics, most of the directing was done by our very own Esther, while the production was delivered by myself. Our head screenwriter was Erastos, former coach of the team, but we received help from the AuFFoNWALiC for that. The movie is in English, mainly. The rugby scenes are shot with the original players, and so are most of the scenes. The stunts are performed by a team from Buyan.

We hope that this movie, which is suitable for all but little kids, due to a small amount of swearing, will please you and audiences worldwide.

Sincerely yours,
