The first archeological proofs of ceramic shaping and firing originates from the mountainous vicinities near the capital city of Griffonia, where it is being produced until today. Archaeological digs have found shreds of ceramics predating the Era of the Grand Griffon, roughly the same as the New Era. However, the technique and art of the creation of Griffonian porcelain per se have been discovered during the VII century of the Era of the Grand Griffon and since then it has been used both practically and for decoration in the Ducal house and among the people of the nation. The Ducal house porcelains bear special markings and are destined for the sole use of the ruling family of the von Greifenwalds.
