Qiviut- Is a Soft and warm cloth made from the wool of muskoxen. Qiviut is plucked from the coat of the muskox during the molt or are gathered from objects the animals have brushed against. Unlike sheep, the animals are not sheared, and unlike sheep's wool, it does not shrink in water at any temperature. (However, this means that it also is not useful for felting.) It is most commonly used for hats and scarves, and is among the softest wools. Qiviut is stronger and eight times warmer than sheep's wool, and softer than cashmere wool. The yarn may then be overdyed, but bleaching and dyeing can weaken the fiber and reduce its softness. Use Wool & Cashmere Shampoo keep water temperature cold but not too cold. Camel Wool- Camel's wool cloth is a type of cloth made from camel hair; or a substitute for authentic camel hair; and is classified as a specialty hair fiber. The camel's pure undercoat is very soft, gathered when camels molt in the warmer seasons, and is frequently used for coats. Although most camel hair is left as its natural tones, the hair can be dyed in a multiple range of colors and accepts the dye equally compared to that of wool fibers. The best blends of camel hair in textiles are pure camel hair or blended with wool only. It is also commonly blended with nylon to make hosiery and other knitted products. Products containing camel hair should be dry cleaned or handwashed. The texture varies. $50-100 per yard.

Fabric Swatches

We do sell samples of most of our fabrics. The size of the swatch depends on the fabric, a solid fabric is 3 inches x 3 inches and a printed fabric is 8 inches x 8 inches. Please note that swatches cannot be returned for refunds or store credits. All dyes are available on request, and can be requested on most fabrics barring a few that cannot be dyed. Colors Available upon request.

Acid Dye

Acid dyes often are used to color such natural fibers as silk, cashmere and wool. They are also used to color nylon fabrics. While some of them can be toxic, others are so safe that they are used in food coloring. Acid dyes are applied in the form of an acidic solution, in which the acid component typically is provided by harmless and natural vinegar or citrus. Acid dyes are effective because they contain molecules known as anionic molecules, which are attracted to corresponding cationic molecules in the fiber.

Disperse Dye

Disperse dyes are used to color synthetic fabrics such as polyester. These dyes do not dissolve easily in water, but the molecules in the dye disperse easily and find gaps in the structure of the polymer being colored. High pressure, and temperatures of 266 degrees Farenheit, are used in the dyeing process to loosen the structure of the polymer, allowing the dye molecules to find gaps.

Reactive Dye

Fiber reactive dyes are used to color cellulose fibers such as hemp, linen and cotton, although some fiber reactive dyes are being created specifically to work with wool and silk. These dyes give strong, bright results and the color is considered to be colorfast, meaning that it will not fade or wash out easily.

*Byssus Silk

Can only come in Purple or Gold

Printed Fabric

Available on request.

Mystrian Mist Textiles HQ in Caltris
The Beastling States of Crystal Spires

Midday on the 22nd of Hearthfire

There was an enraged shout in D'rɑgolɛth as Jamar Ensakle, a high fashionista fresh out of Caltris's School of Beauty looked at the herdite silks coming in from the month's shipment. He was oogling and testing for silkiness.

"Can you feel that Herbert? My stars, they're like dancing on the wing of a sky moth! Dance with me Herbert!" The Peacock beastling mewled as he nodded. "They are certainly fine quality. It's lovely and airy. I believe it deserves being sold as a brand of its own. I'm quite certain that it is superior to the Imerian Silk which was provided, and oh feel the wool, it's like the websites and maganzines reviewing their product has said.

"HERALD!" He shouted in his uberdramatic voice with a pained sharp high pitch. "Are you seeing what I am seeing, here?"

"Er... you mean the softness?" The man said with a raised eyebrows. "Soo soooft"

Jamar slapped Herald whilst grasping at his collar and pulling him closer. "You cannot see what is so plainly obvious before you hmmm? Cannot behold the that this is hemp fabric a hemp fabric so soft that it almost resembles a soft linen?"

"I just see lineny-"

SLAP! There was another thwack as Jamar let out an exaggerated groan.

"I WILL NOT HEAR OF ANOTHER NONSENSE WORD FROM YOU FROM HERE ON OUT! I will have.... beauty."

"I don't see wha-YES BEAUTY..." He said as he anticipated another slap.

"Send them a message." Jamar said as he cracked his knuckles.

"Yes, sir!" Herald said enthusiastically as he began to send a message to the Dapperyards Textiles Inc.

"AAAAAND TO THE IMERS.... We cannot have low quality product! Naw that we shall avoid any such squaffles. If they desire to sell quality, they will have to give quality."

My dear sirs
I am shocked to hear that the quality of the wool produced by our blessed fatherland have been called into question as we can assure that our wool is of the finest quality from sheep born and raised in the blessed fatherland. We would further more have to ask why you felt like our wool was of inferior quality so that we can put your fears to rest and assure you that our wool and cotton is of the highest quality.

To His Noble Lordship Björn auf Halmarstad,

Mystrian Mist Textiles Intl fairly certain that the wool we have received from the recent shipment was faulty due to weather constraints (with the recent seismic disruption) . While certainly fine wools could be found, they were commingled with one another which is against company protocol. It is normal company protocol to separate wools by micron, and a fair amount of wool was felted on the way to the company headquarters. When wool is felted, it shrinks and becomes so tightly woven that it will not ravel, which is good for those with a use of felt, but to those seeing wool product, we feel this is an unappealing quality. If there is any questions you have for our people, please feel free to ask. We will not ask that you refund us for the damaged product, but we do wish to uphold our reputation which means if Imerian wool is of lesser quality when it arrives, than we will have to stand by the lesser price we put for it. If your men are willing to cooperate, we could standardize transport protocol, and we will be able to better ensure high quality product and we are willing to insure transport of product. We are pleased to do business with you, and look forward to business in the future.

I can assure you that the price would be paid and that the reason for this must have been the fault of the captain that shipped your order and as a result are we of course willing to not only pay back the sum ourselves and make sure the villain is brought before a guild hearing back home as well as send you a new shipment of wool and cotton free of charge.

And while this minor... complication proved to be a error that would seem to prove us wrong so would I have to assure you that the guild provides excellent shipping of materials and I can assure you that greater care will be taken the next time and we will take the unique conditions of dimheim in consideration in the future. We would however be somewhat interested in observing what techniques you yourself used to protect cotton in your own native lands so that any errors in our current means of transportation will be corrected.

To Whom It May Concern:

YellowApple, Inc. has discovered your company, Mist Textiles, as part of its routine scans for start-up and/or novel businesses. We feel that your company's textile selection is unmatched in variety, and we hope to contribute YellowApplan-made textile-capable materials to your already-vast collection for resale.

The prices specified in the product descriptions (and your company's product submission forms) are the recommended retail price (since the form does not specify); wholesale price is noted in parentheses immediately following the the recommended retail price. Said retail price is - again - a recommendation; YellowApple, Inc. will not be enforcing any retail price should the terms of this offer be agreed upon by your company. Both products are sold spooled by default; pre-woven material (to be sold by square meter or yard) can be made available upon request, though shipments may experience delays due to the extra step in manufacturing.
