OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE
MINISTRY OF FORESTRY AND LAND MANAGEMENT

From the Desk of Brg. Simon Tourey, Minister of Forestry and Land Management of the Republic of Songhia

To all interested parties,

The Ministry of Forestry and Land Management of the Republic of Songhia is proud to report the discovery of oceanic oil-fields at Point Sagou, 87 kilometers from the port city of Bakumba in Songhia's Exclusive Economic Maritime Zone. At this time, preliminary reports indicate that the reserves may hold as many as 2,500,000,000 cubic meters of crude oil. This is the third oil field discovered in Songhia, but its first maritime oil discovery. Point Sagou is also the country's largest discovery, comprising at minimum 57% of Songhia's oil reserves. As such, the Songhian people are interested in soliciting foreign expertise to help develop these oil resources, both to improve Songhia's economy and to reduce world petroleum prices.

The Songhian National Petroleum Company is entertaining bids to construct an oil extraction platform at Point Sagou. Any interested parties should submit an offer to construct and operate the platform, along with expected compensation. This will be a subcontractory position within the Songhian National Petroleum Company. All bids are subject to review by the Ministry of Forestry and Land Management.

The government and people of Songhia welcome foreign assistance in this matter. All sincere bids will be reviewed sincerely.

- Brigadier Simon Tourey,
Minister of Forestry and Land Management
Republic of Songhia

Whenever you see a word ending in -e or -ey, it's supposed to end in é - ie the city of Yandé, Brg. Simon Touré, and so on.
I also control Aurinsula and sometimes post interchangeably with it.

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE MINISTRY OF OIL AND RESOURCES

To: Brigadier Simon Tourey,, Minister of Forestry and Land Management
Subject: Oil Rig Construction Bid

Dear General,

The Allied States' New Edomite Petroleum Corporation would like to offer a serious bid for the construction of an offshore rig to help your country produce its oil. Our personnel are highly trained to international standards, and our production is more than capable of meeting your country's needs.

Our proposal is a offshore rig which would be built to the highest international standards at 150 million NSD. We calculate due to the distance offshore 10% of labour costs adding another 15 million NSD, and adding in equipment including drill ship and yard specifications put to proper standards would come to a general bid of 600 million NSD.

I would be glad to arrange for a general meeting to discuss the specifics, to demonstrate with virtual and actual models, and to do a full examination of site to establish any particularities of the bid, with our engineering team present.

I have the honour to be
John Carmel, Minister of Oil and Resources

OFFICIAL RELEASE

Financial Support of New Edomite Bid

As of 14:00 hours today, Ardenfontein time, domestic and key overseas shareholders of the Bank of Yohannes - one of the three major banking institutions of the Yohannesian Banking Association - have collectively accepted the Board of Directors' proposal to financially support and guarantee the safety of the bid proposed by the Allied States' New Edomite Petroleum Corporation - an allied and noteworthy entity in the eyes of the majority shareholders. The Bank of Yohannes is fully prepared to insure any possibility of financial loss which may arise out of the New Edomite Petroleum Corporation's future operation as written under that company's planning and proposal to the government of Songhia - and that of the government's Ministry of Forestry and Land Management.

Noting the risk involved with establishing an offshore rig of the highest international standard in a foreign nation, the Bank of Yohannes shall be able to commit up to US$100,000,000.00 or one hundred million Universal Standard Dollars to partially cover - at an initial deposit of sixty-seven percent - the proposal as puth forth by the New Edomite Petroleum Corporation. Furthermore, royal merchant escort vessels of the Bundesbank's partner institution of Royal Beaufort shall - within its capacity - protect the noteworthy asset which this operation will establish within its geographical vicinity.

Once again, we at the Bank of Yohannes would like to offer our most humble thanks to the Songhian government - and that of the Ministry of Forestry and Land Management - for its time.
