The Springmont OB Shipping Co. is the oldest ship-owning company in Springmont. The company focuses on ship owning and management of container/multipurpose and ro-ro vessels, providing full commercial ship- and operational management including financial- and accounting services.

THE SPRINGMONT OB SHIPPING CO has proud traditions. Its roots date back from the middle of the 20th century. A remarkable illustration of the shipping activities of THE SPRINGMONT OB SHIPPING CO has been ownership and management of ferries, timber carriers, bulk carriers, operating both in the tramp market, as well as managing liner activities. These liner activities involved a.o. approximately 30 years of shipping between Europe and West Africa, but the focus has always been on trade between Montian and regional ports.

In 1999 the full privatization of THE SPRINGMONT OB SHIPPING CO was completed, having started on the initiative of the Springmontian Government in 1997. The privatization brought together THE SPRINGMONT OB SHIPPING CO's traditions, good tangible assets, and a favorable market position combining it into an active and modern thinking shipping company.

The Springmont OB Shipping Co have taken delivery of SS Cape Pleasantrose. This new addition to the The Springmont OB fleet was delivered from Port of Cape Payola Shipyard, subsidiaries of Atomic Industrial Corp in Thousandsuns.

SS Cape Pleasantrose is a 230-meter “C class” tankers and the first of six vessels being built at this yard for The Springmont OB
