The Northern Baltic People's Army recently requested a new assault rifle to attempt to standardize our assault rifles in use. Currently, they use the 9A-91, which uses 9 x 39mm caliber ammunition as referred to the 7.62 x 39mm ammunition used by the AEK-971, in service with our army units, and An-94, in service with our police forces. We would like to replace the 9A-91 Assault Rifle with another compact Assault rifle that can fire 7.62 ammunition. We have developed a karbine based on the information provided:





The base rifle is the AM-99, converted into a bullpup configuration and into 7.62x39 caliber. The barrel has been shortened slightly, thus losing capability to mount a bayonet. Due to the repositioning of the controls, the front hand guard is a modified 'AS VAL' style, where as the sights have been replaced with a carry handle type, which are removable as to mount on optic. The fire rate has been reduced to 600 rounds per second to improve handling in automatic and burst fire. Due to the position of the magazine, the mag release has been enlarged to make reloading easier. The provided sight has 2 settings; 200m and 400m, and is a flip-type similar to the one found on the AKSU.
