The Federated Union of Democratic Colonies has examined the offerings of Lochinver Ordnance, and believes them appropriate for our needs. For immediate service with the DC Navy, we would like to register an order for eight Nova Class Cruisers at a total cost of $272,000,000,000.

As many of the technologies and systems of the Nova Class Cruiser differ a great deal from those used aboard DC naval vessels, we would also like to inquire about a service contract including maintenance and spare parts for the next 6 years, with an option to extend the contract a further 6 years. This 6 to 12 year period should allow the DC Navy to build up the technical expertise and logistical infrastructure to support Nova Class Cruisers and other vessels using similar technologies.

Additionally, we would like the inquire about the possibility of either licensing or purchasing an advanced Artificial Intelligence system similar to ANA, NINA, or DIANA for service aboard the DC Navy's New Frontier Class Cruisers. A long term support contract would likely follow, pending details, and a strong relationship between the DC Navy and Lochinver Ordnance as a major supplier would be firmly established. But in our provided program files, this AI is usually female. It should also be noted that an AI like Ana may be repurposed to various roles based on what it is taught by its master. In the Lochinver Navy, we see a modified version of Diana manning orbital defense rings rather than dreadnoughts. So keep that in mind.

The Federated Union of Democratic Colonies is most pleased that our order is being filled so promptly and so completely. While we do plan to equip the Nova Class Cruisers in DC Navy service with FTL jump drives to better suit our naval doctrine, we have no doubt that the vessels will serve admirably and contribute honourably to the defense of our nation.

The terms that have been proposed for the licensed reproduction of Lochinver Ordnance's proprietary Advanced Networked Adapting Software artificial intelligence are accepted. ANA, as we have opted to designate the system, is slated to have somewhat lesser responsibilities over the weapons systems aboard the New Frontier Class Cruisers but will essentially be built to Lochinver Ordnance standard specifications. Lochinver Ordnance may be assured that the utmost respect for its intellectual property will be maintained, and that its technologies will be put to honourable and noble usage.

The Navy is unable to create such ships itself, as our manufacturing capability's are tied up repairing ships damaged during an incursion on one of our colony's by an unknown enemy.
