In the Chamber of the Citizens Assembly, the final resolution for an act was called to order. It was an international aid bill to foreign powers. It had passed unanimously. The citizens Assembly had a history of creating monumental projects for its citizens especially for those who had to do terms of service. Not everyone was fit to serve in the military so on occassion they came up with new ideas to keep people busy and further the Free Commonalities goals.
A vote had passed. A new project was to begin. The act was passed on to the technocratic bureaucratic
ministries who would pick out the specifics of the plan and make sure the right specialists were in place.
They would modify the act to meet their needs in debates. Things never were quite the way The Citizens
Assembly would have them.
They created a new name, Ministry of Peace Through Aide. It was not really a true peace corps, but a way
to enter foreign markets and acquire knowledge through construction or other contracts in lieu of cash.
They would offer to build stadiums, dams, wells, clean up toxic waste, teach agriculture, and other
construction or scientific projects in exchange for technology, establishment of embasses, or treaties
of trade.
They would use a lot of 18-20 year olds for labor who have been selected for this for ministry as their
two year term of service, as well as army engineers, some PPCs (a form of mixed government and private
corporation), government workers, and a few cooperatives with government contracts.
It was a different kind of trade. Name what construction you want or project you want in exchange for
embassies, trade agreements, or scientific cooperation. We will consider your offer and agree or not.
